My post-Silverborn Jupiter North rant:

Silverborn completely changed how I see Morrigan and Jupiter's relationship.

I am so used to stories where the adult mentor, however beloved, uses the chosen child as a tool in their plan to take down the big bad. I’m talking about Harry and Dumbledore, Luke and Obi Wan, Katniss and Haymitch. Yeah, the mentor might legitimately care about the child, but their affinity for the child comes second and the child’s usefulness to their cause comes first.

I was really nervous this was going to be the nature of Jupiter and Morrigan's relationship as well. From the moment we found out she was a wundersmith I have been trying to figure out what Jupiter's long game was. Why did he save her and not one of the other wundersmiths, assuming they are all born and die on Eventide. I assumed Jupiter must have some plan for Morrigan’s destiny. Even as he fought with the Wunderous Society to see her as a person not a danger or a tool, I still assumed he must have some secret motive for rescuing her.

Finding out he didn't save her because she was a wundersmith but rather because she was a child, a smart, kind, lonely child that he observed and grew to love completely broke me. He doesn't see her as a wundersmith first and Morrigan second. He barely sees her as a wundersmith at all. The only significance of her wundersmithiness to him is that it was the thing that allowed him to enroll her in the Wunderous Society and keep her safe.

I love that so much and I am NOT OVER THIS BOOK. I don't think I’ll ever get over this book!

p4persmp catacombs spoilers

So y'all- I am currently supposed to be sleeping, but instead y'all are getting a full rant about the episode titles. For those who missed it Ethan's title was the fool, Andy's was the hermit, Taylor's was the devil, and Ashlyn's was supposed to have been the magician. These are all different tarot cards in the major arcana, so I'm gonna break each of them down for y'all and tell y'all what I think it means. All of them will be discussing both upright and reversed meanings and how that plays in to the episode. Disclaimer, I am still learning tarot, and will therefore be relying on my guidebook for this. Lets start out with Ethan. The fool is the zeroeth card in the tarot deck. Upright, this card is all about being a free spirit, purity and beginnings. It's about letting go of expectations and going with the flow and living. On the other hand, the fool reversed is all about being foolish, careless and naïve. It's about ignoring the consequences of how your actions affect others, and only thinking about yourself in it. It's asking the question of if your actions are based on confidence or on uncertainty and insecurity. Both of these versions are very obvious things about C!Ethan in this episode. Its a new beginning for him since he got the spell book back, while its also letting go of the expectations others have of how he is supposed to be now because of the skulk. On the other side, the fool reversed is also very clear as C!Ethan in this episode seems to have a hard time accepting help, has a hard time saying thank you and in general has been uncertain and insecure about his position in the world.

He also received the letter saying:

'You were meat to be so much more... But you chose light, chose weakness. Fight and claw away little greenling. It shall only make your roots easier to snap. Fight as much as you can little greenling'

This shows a clear struggle between the fool upright and reversed. a fight between light and new beginnings vs insecurities and uncertainty. Moving on to Andy with the stream titled 'the hermit'. The hermit is the 9th card in the major arcana. The hermit upright is all about soul searching, reflection and truth.

On the other side the hermit reversed is about loneliness, confinement and withdrawal.

Both of these once again reflect the character pretty well. on one side we have the hermit, which has reflected C!andy pretty well up until now, and even more so after the previous episode where they withdrew from C!Ethan. This was also obvious with how C!Andy and C!ethan behaved in this episode. This could also be alluding to some previous mishaps with magic that killed someone or that made them evil or that in some way made the person leave, and maybe C!Andy is now trying to get ahead of it, and leave before they get hurt again.

On the other side, the hermit upright also reflects how C!Andy seemed to start opening up a tiny bit more to C!Ethan in this episode, and how they are seeing more of the truth of the actual situation. Moving on, to Taylor and Ashlyn. From now on it will be more guesswork and vibes based on what I have seen on Ethan and Andy's streams since I have not watched Taylor and Ashlyn's pov in full yet. Taylor's stream was titled the devil. The devil is the 15th card in the major arcana. The devil upright is about Addiction, enslavement and fear. Its about the negative patterns in your life, and about how you feel shackled to your problems.

On the other side, the devil reversed is about Awareness, breaking free and empowerment. Its about breaking free of the chains that have been holding you back and get out of the bad patterns and chose something better for yourself.

These seem to reflect two sides of C!Taylor. On one hand we have the C!Taylor who steals and seemingly have trust issues which is very reminiscent of the devil upright, but on the other hand we have the C!Taylor who finally chose to help Ethan even if that meant having to go outside their comfort zone. Ashlyn's stream was supposed to have been titled the magician. The magician is the first card in the major arcana. The magician upright is about being inventive, manifestation and true potential. It's all about creating and working hard while the universe has your back and will help you with it.

On the other hand the magician reversed is all about trickery, manipulation and untapped potential. its about frustration and lack of clarity. With this card your talents may not be seen and that you have so much more to give.

I don't know much about C!Ashlyn, so a lot of this is guesswork based on todays stream, but to me it seems like C!Ashlyn is a lot smarter than anyone gives her credit for. She seems to think that she is the magician upright and that she is creating, though I am not sure that its actually good things she is doing. Today's streams had hints of her potentially working with dark magic.

With this C!Ashlyn seems like an unreliable narrator, because she seems like the magician upright, but I think in reality she is the magician reversed. C!Ashlyn is smart, and I think she might be purposefully manipulating people around her for her gain. She seems to be working on something truly dangerous, while making everyone think she isn't. I think her talents aren't seen and that she has a lot more to give tan what we think

Okay, end rant for now y'all. its 2.40 am, so this might be a bit of a mess, but I would love to hear what everyone thinks anyways!
