Haven't seen it, (not really a zombie movie fan) but that's most likely not knowing how guns work and also headshots are really difficult, even by trained soldiers, on a moving target at a distance, it's why most training is for center mass, since you know, enemy targets aren't usually zombies that keep going after that.

Idk if you've watched World War Z or not, but it's sorta funny how they depict the IDF as simultaneously advanced enough to rebuild the Jerusalem walls at least 40ft high but also inept enough to not know how rifle sights work.

Though honestly, I'm not sure if that was intentional or just the director not knowing anything about guns. Because they still land a whole lotta shots, but not a whole lot of the needed headshots.

HMM I do think it's just to show that the world in general is incompetent I do not think any other of the humans in that show know how kill zombies and also the director not consulting a single gun expert for his film about Brad Pitt vs Zombies, not antisemitism. The book is very fascinating and rare case of "100% world building almost no actual plot" being fun to read.

Okay but fun fact, there's very little actual gluten in the communion wafer. HOWEVER, if for whatever reason you're sensitive, it's possible to order entirely gluten free wafers from various nuns/monks organizations, which can then be given to the priest before the Mass (or if there's enough community members that multiple people need it there's a seperate bowl), is held in a separate container, and given back to the person during Communion :)

Also along with how many jokes and such people make about other deaths and tragedies I truly believe that empathy and care for other lives is dead for these people unless they can moral outrage with their friends about it to look Good.

Also ngl these jokes and making cheesy puns and stuff about the actual, dead Palestinians because of the war feels disrespectful. They aren't a gotcha or something to make a cheeky one liner about, they're victims of their government and an awful war. Not...this.

Ngl for anything, especially a complex topic, I check multiple sources, even ones I may not completely like or even agree with, if mostly just to see what other people believe/are seeing. I don't think any news source/resource/even individual person in the middle of it is going to be completely accurate, simply because it's a currently unfolding situation and that's how it is, but TL;Dr, talk to real people involved, check multiple sources that have a decent research/honesty rating, and try to compile and cross reference what you can.

hi gang. reminder that we are some of the best sweaters in the animal kingdom (second only to equines) allowing us to stay cool and keep moving in hot weather. we have 10 times the density of sweat glands compared to other great apes.

we are ALSO insanely good at smelling rain (specifically geosmin, found in the soil and activated by rain) with the ability to smell 10 parts per trillion. this is speculated to have helped our ancestors survive!

we ALSO have absolutely batshit diets compared to most other animals. caffeine and chocolate are completely toxic to most animals but we can eat it without even feeling sick. even avocados are severely toxic to many animals to the point where it can be fatal to eat, but humans love it!!!

we are ALSO the best endurance runners ON EARTH out of ANY other species. we beat horses in endurance running. you know, the animals that gradually evolved away most of their toes in order to be the best runners?? yeahhh.

and to top it all off. our lifespan is unusually long for our species' weight/mass. typically, the bigger a species is, the longer its average lifespan (e.g. domestic mice live for 1-3 years, whales can live over 200) but we're very small for how long our average lifespan is. big cats like tigers live around 14-15 years, brown bears 25 years, yet here we are expected to live around 75-85 years. that is NUTS.

humans as a species are so extremely cool. it's not just our intellect that makes us amazing. we may not be the fastest or the strongest in the animal kingdom but we're super cool in many other ways. next time you sweat you can go wow!!! humans are so cool I'm able to keep moving because of my absolutely insane number of sweat glands! thank you evolution!

Listen every story of this variation needs a comedy of errors chase/tracking sequence where they barely miss each other. Also some thoughts on telepaths, you need a reason why they aren't just a deus ex machina, do they struggle in crowds so the protag hides in cities and dense apartment blocks?
