mickey is kinda-sorta-definitely chaotic when it comes to his life, but he makes valiant efforts to be organized about his little one !!

even if it stresses him out to the max, anything to be the bestest caregiver :)

he’s suuuper big on safety around a little— all the guns and other weapons are never around, and he sometimes goes overboard on making sure nothing will put them in danger

growing up he didn’t have the best example of parents, so he always always tries to break old habits and bridge new ones that are healthy

being a caregiver heals mickey just as much !!

southside is his first baby (his little one’s obviously his second) and that means he’s alll about taking them around town and showing them his favorite hang-out spots

completely uncensored— he’s getting better about what he says, but lots of times it’s the first, unfiltered thing that comes to his mind

his nunchucks are used a lot for playtime

bandaids are also used a lot for playtime…

despite his outward appearance, he’s biiig on baby talk— his voice goes all purposely high and whiny, and he’s looking down at his little with big, soft eyes and aaaaa

inside voices are foreign to him. you wanna yell and scream ? well he’s gonna join you, just as loud— outside voices for LIFE !!

he’s got soso many connections around chicago, meaning anything his little one wants, they get (even if it’s been shoplifted, or makeshift…)

i emerge from my cave to discuss my newest baby— curly.

he’s the prime example of a baby regressor !! there’s sososo much work to put in being captain, and all the stress makes him so antsy and needing a break— a baby break :3

there’s something so special about the crew knowing when their captain needs his downtime, and they all work together to make sure he’s safe and secure.

also also also he has anya and sometimes jimbo as caregivers, and those two, especially anya, shower him with so much love !!

(there’s also def a plush polle he has that no one’s allowed to touch. she’s on her last leg… hoof?)

Mouthwashing Age Regression Headcanons!

I love these silly little idiots so much. I headcannon almost all of them as at least flips, so here we go!

(THESE ARE PRE-CRASH)

Trigger warning for blood under the cut!

ANYA!

Toddler Regressor/Babysitter.

Mainly regresses due to her having chronic anxiety.

When she's little, she tends to just care for herself, or she gets Curly to do it if needed.

She normally regresses from 2-4.

She's very very quiet and reserved for a toddler regressor.

Doesn't like toys that much. She tends to just sleep or on rare occasions, play doctor with her teddy bear.

She's not an EXCELLENT babysitter, she does her best.

She mainly just watches the littles she's left with unless they need anything.

DAISUKE!

Older Kid Regressor.

His main reason for regression is a mix of him missing his parents, and something else that he can't quite put his finger on...

He often turns to Swansea for help with his regression, since he's like a dad to him. Swansea is happy to help.

His age range is anywhere from 7-10.

Not really LOUD, but just an excited kid.

He doesn't really play with toys either, he tends to just play children's mobile games on his phone or watch a kid's show with Swansea.

CURLY!

Baby/Padded Regressor/Caregiver.

He mainly regresses to handle the stress of being Captain.

Jimmy is his main Caregiver, but sometimes Anya watches him when she can.

Regresses from 1-3.

He can either be loud and excited, or quiet and reserved, depends on how he feels.

He has a total of three toys, and he LOVES them. He has an IKEA Alien Plush, one of those baby block puzzles, and a Barbie doll he named Jessica.

As a Caregiver, he is always willing to give his little cuddles. Whenever and wherever.

Speaking of, this man can COOK. He will be whipping up pancakes and milk like no tomorrow.

JIMMY!

Middle Regressor/Caregiver.

He hates regressing and doesn't know why he does it. It's always involuntary.

Mainly cared for by Curly on the rare occasion that he does regress.

Regresses to six. That's it. He's always six when he's little.

Always frustrated and acts out for attention. Curly doesn't mind, though.

The only "toy" he has is a thirty some year old Playskool Teddy Bear that's as old as him.

As a Caregiver, he fucks up a lot and accidentally makes his little cry accidentally, and he feels guilty everytime, but he's getting better at it.

He can barely cook, but he can make a mean bottle of milk.

His little is his soft spot, he's all mean and tough until he hears those high pitched giggles!

SWANSEA!

Caregiver.

He is absolutely HORRIBLE at caregiving...

He tires his best, but he accidentally says the wrong things and makes Daisuke cry.

A lot.

tantrums. shouting. screaming. throwing stuff. especially if they weren't "allowed" to have tantrums as a kid, or are super passive/a pushover normally. let them scream.

stories where they confess that they age regress and people do think they're weird for it

stories where they have potty accidents and need to deal with it. stories where they're afraid to wear diapers because they don't want to be seen as weak. stories where they don't want to sleep because they might regress and wet the bed.

ok so i just thought about something and i felt the need to share it with you. Ok so imagine little jj and the others going on a roadtrip or something or just a rlly long car ride and jj gets overwhelmed and cranky and starts throwing a tantrum. Then he starts kicking john b‘s seat,they’ll try to calm him down but nothing works until one of them (you choose who) is like hey that hurts the twinkie or that hurts the twinkies feelings and jj immediately is like oh sorry and stops and apologizes. I just thought thats the cutest thing ever.

i am so sorry i took so long to answer this 😭 ive had this written out for months and just let it collect dust but i really wanted to post it! this was such a cute idea i needed to write something!!

JJ’s not sure how long they’d been riding in the Twinkie. He’s not sure he even remembers where they’re going. But he is sure of one thing: he’s tired of sitting in the car.

JJ was just naturally energetic, in or out of his headspace, so the idea of having to sit for long periods of time isn’t something he favors.

John B sits in the driver’s seat, Sarah curled up in the passenger seat. Kiara sits with her back to Sarah’s, while JJ is sat facing the back of John B’s seat, next to Pope.

JJ tries his best to sit still, but his body refuses and he’s continuously squirming where he sits. He gives a light kick to the seat in front of him, catching Pope’s attention. A warm hand rubs his knee. Pope raises his eyebrows at him. “You okay, JJ?”

JJ huffs. “Tired of drivin’,” he grumbles. Pope smiles at that, patting his knee. “We’ll be there soon, bud. Just be patient, okay?”

With another huff and a fold of his arms, JJ sits back, staring out the van window.

John B looks through the rearview mirror at them. JJ pretends to not notice, kicking the seat once again, hard enough this time for John B to feel.

“JJ, can you stop kicking my seat, please?” John B asks, and JJ whines. “It’s taking too long,” he whines out, delivering another kick to the seat in front of him.

“JJ, don’t kick Bee’s seat while he’s driving,” Pope scolds. “Do you want to watch something on my phone? We can watch a movie–“

“I don’t wanna–“

“J, don’t you think you kicking the seat would hurt the Twinkie’s feelings?” Sarah suddenly pops in, making JJ pause. He furrows his eyebrows at her words.

“The Twinkie?”

She nods. “The seat is apart of the Twinkie. When you kick it, you hurt the Twinkie and that makes the Twinkie sad. You don’t want to hurt the Twinkie now do you?”

JJ doesn’t say anything for a few seconds, before he deflates back into his seat. “No,” he says softly, suddenly feeling a wave of guilt. “Don’t wanna hurt the Twinkie. ‘m sorry Twinkie.”

The Pogues can’t help but to smile, both at the fact that Sarah managed to make JJ forget about his tantrum and at how cute it was to hear him apologize to the van.

“We’ll be there in a few minutes, okay kiddo?” John B says. JJ nods before allowing Pope to distract him with a cartoon playing on his phone.

oooooh i love eddie so much you don’t even know— biggest sibby vibes from him!! i haven’t done headcannons in a bit, so here you go :3

the chaotic older kid of the party. eddie’s a flip (w/ no particular lean), and his headspace isn’t as mapped out as everyone else but he’s around 6-7

that being said, he acts different depending on who’s around— older, more ‘taking you under my wing’-way with stevie + the younger kids, but like a total baby when nancy and wayne come around

obsessed with dragons. you thought it was bad when he was big? now everything has to relate back to them, and every dragon he sees has to be immediately fawned over and discussed !

he chews his nails bad, and whenever someone catches him, he switches over to gnawing at the ends of his hair

suuuper into wayne’s old records when he’s little— they remind him of the past, and wayne’s always happy to turn them on to see his boy’s smile :)

always trying to sneak something he’s not supposed to !! everything just seems to be ten times better tucked in his pocket than sitting all alone

he’s a rock collector— toddling around the trailer park looking for the super-duper-coolest-ever rocks to show off to the party !!

a total troublemaker.

really, he never fails to wind up in the corner or having to write lines, or some other thing nancy’ll make up so ‘the lesson sticks’

he’s a clinger when he’s feeling fuzzier than usual, and whenever he goes down as far as that, eddie trails around his carers, hiding under shirts, and hanging off of them like a koala

he’s a sensory seeker already, but being small increases that by tenfold !! he’s rubbing up against his favorite textures, and spinning just for the heck of it :3

he’s always coloring or doodling, pages on pages of scribby dragons and other mythical creatures he tries to recreate from his figurines

just about everyone’s got a dragon or two tucked away with eddie’s name on it somewhere in their room. he gives them out like business cards

he’s nightmare prone obviously, and when things get particularly bad, he’s knocking on the door to the mayfield trailer so max can entertain him till he falls back asleep

and when susan’s in better shape, she silently leaves a few of those triscuts and cheese cubes eddie likes so much on max’s dresser

he’s all about being loud, loud, loud !! loud, stimmy stomps, loud outside voice inside the trailer’s thin walls, loud, dramatic reactions when he doesn’t get his way—

when he’s sick, he’s a monster, but god forbid he be little and sick at the same time. nothing but complaints and whining and a causing a scene. and all for a common cold.

just. a buzzing ball of energy !
