So, I finally did something with that post about Mary Sue/cringy self insert ocs (https://www.tumblr.com/lunastarnight/767218908291792896/i-kinda-wanna-start-cringy-self-insert-ocs-you?source=share), here's Au.

Very basic Backstory/Lore stuff under the cut:

A long long time ago, Ao and Ai were one, living and watching over everything in perfect harmony as Au.

She gave a lot of things to people, fantasy, realism, imagination, logic, power and responsibility.

But, things began to change. Industrialisation progressed, more people being able to express themselves meant odd and borderline dangerous fantasies were being expressed, more and more occupations started drifting to monetary gain instead of contributions, and artists started to be less and less valued, with people seeing their contributions as insignifigant or too easy to replicate for what they were asking.

And just like how those two sides of the world started drifting apart, so did those two sides of Au, eventually splitting into two, Au becoming Ao and Ai.

And just how the two sides of people were at odds, Ao and Ai were as well, bound to continue and uphold the rivalry of creativity vs. Reality as long as people were as well.

Hi, so I am indeed neither dead nor have been hit by the curse if the Ao3 author, I’ve simply been in a bit of a writing slump due to school and my own mental health. Things are going uphill again, so I hope I can continue writing more regularly. My current plan is looking through my phone for unfinished oneshots to complete to get me back in the groove, with the big goal being finally continuing bigger projects like my Recreyo x Percy Jackson crossover fic.
