Gradually abusing your yandere more and more to see if yan really loves you. It's like yan don't care about the subtle manipulations thrown into conversations, or at least yandere doesn't acknowledge them. Perhaps if you make up rules for your yandere to follow; starting off with something that might as well be a normal boundary, and progressively letting it become more convoluted.

Make sure the physical abuse doesn't come too soon! Your yandere might not be brainwashed enough. When it does come; you may present it as an angry outburst, a meltdown, or even an accident. When it repeats: see if yan comes up with those same excuses for you. As soon as it turns to proper beatings, it better be masochistic glee in having YOUR hands on yandere. It's a kindness to put your marks on your yandere!

Not getting the reaction you wanted? Remind your yandere that yan's supposed to be devoted. A true lover would take everything with a smile. Tell yandere that you don't feel loved, and you're not sure it will work out between you. That'll scare your yandere into place.
