Hey Shadow : ( I see that people aren’t being kind to you again. And I hate how absolutely horrid they’re being to you right now. I don’t know what exactly I can do to help you feel better, but i will say…

We’ve… made our mistakes in the past. Sometimes hurt other people in the process. I’ve had my fair share of doing so without even realizing how my actions have affected people… sometimes not until it’s too late. I often agonize about it, feeling absolutely vile about myself for how i’ve hurt people… scared of inadvertently doing so again. Sometimes i…. Feel like a monster… or a defective vile being that will one way or another hurt the people i care about. But the thing is… that isn’t the whole story. And that isn’t *all of me.*

No one truly knows the pain and struggle i’ve had to go through in order to get where i am today. To survive until now despite it all. No one else but me. Not only that, i am more than my mistakes and wrongdoings. Im flawed. A multifaceted person. And i am also still continuing to live. To learn. And because of this… as hard as i may try, i probably going to make mistakes and accidentally hurt other people, in one way or another. Especially when we all live our individual lives parallel to each other, sometimes crossing and peering to each other’s inner worlds, but never really being fully in it. All we can really do is pick the best choices we can and do with the limited options with what we have at the moment.

The same goes for you too.

We may know of just *some of* the pain and grief you have gone through, but *you* were the one who actually had to *live through it.* The choices that you have made in the past may have been heavily influenced by your grief and suffering, but how were you truly ever to know that *there is another way*? Its like you said— you were just trying to survive and defend yourself, and profesor Gerald definitely *was not* helping with the state of mind you were in back then. He wasn’t doing so great either, but it was *still his choice* to essentially even go through that plan in the first place, and involve you through it. The difference is that he most likely knew *exactly* what he was going through, and the full ramifications of it, but * you didn’t*. Not entirely.

In the end, you were still doing the best you could, and acting on what felt like was *right* in that moment. And, seeing as once someone (cough) had shown you another way— shadow you saved the world alongside sonic in the end. You feel deeply remorseful for the damage you have caused and have been doing your best to make up for it. You are more than just your mistakes, or your status of what you were made for. You are *you.* A full on person with so much more to look forward to and discover about yourself and the world *you’ve* decided to save and protect. It would be foolish to relegate you to just *that aspect* of yourself, and its frankly nonsensical that other people are just chalking you up to that being all that you are! Only *you* get to decide who you are and who you get to be!

And with all this in mind… not *everyone* is of course going to like you. Or love you. Thats just a matter of life and all of us being different in one form or another… and is a lesson i keep having to learn over and over again. There will be people who will dislike you, or even hate you. Despite this, those who *know you*, *see you*, and no matter what still *care* about you are the ones who truly matter. Those who love you and will stick by you— supporting you all the way. You dont need to please everyone to be loved and accepted for who you are. And sometimes they’ve been there this entire time, you just haven’t noticed. And if not, then you will find people and a place whom and where you will belong.

many people still think you're dangerous and would probably flee the country if they saw you were still alive.

For me being dangerous means you can hurt others. But I think being have to cause damage and deciding not to makes you a better person than someone that can't cause damage (this doesn't exist btw). You have a capacity you only use to protect your loved ones eventhough it could be used in other ways. The important thing is that you choose the right thing and because of that you are only dangerous to those who mean wrong to the ones you care about
