okay, so it’s a lot like conceptual art, or like introspective meditation, at the risk of sounding pretentious

Like. It’s not so much about “the cards are a portal to a higher wisdom that knows more than me” thing- it’s more of a, “given the symbols drawn, could I interpret them posing a question or possibility or suggestion?” Followed by, “is this applicable to my current context? COULD it be?”

Like.

I don’t lay out á tarot hand and say “ah yes, the devil and the tower, I am about to be betrayed”

But I MAY lay out a hand and say, “okay, devil and the tower. Something treacherous and danger. Am I approaching a treacherous or risky situation in my life? What might be a tipping factor? Am I being deliberately reckless? Maybe I should spend some more time working on X project I’ e been thinking of before spending money on it” or “you know what, I HAVE been kind of uncomfortable with X thing, I should say something” or “yeah okay I KNOW Tom from work sucks to work with, I KNOW, yeah maybe I should consider ways of handling that”

Less of a magic oracle, more of a tool for doing literary analysis on real life. Like simplifying everything and laying it out flat so I can gain some distance to untangle my problems without in-your-head crap like projected feelings and social obligation getting in the way and muddying the waters.

So like. I don’t think tarot cards can legit tell the future, but I DO think that self-reflection, mindfulness, and consideration sometimes allow us to predict and calculate our own circumstances.

So, IMO- It’s not real. But it works

Not me stumbling upon Hollysugar posts from this one person saying that EP 10 is shittily written like "are u playing the same game?? Reading the same story???"

Like obviously many people don't support Eternal Sugar's actions in EP 9 and 10 but Ive seen way too many analysis posts about those and they were all beautifully written and described everything that fascinated me about Eternal Sugar and Hollyberry's character studies and relationship with one another (you can see that as a ship or platonic idrc)

*slides in* i've recently created a Yakuza oc! ( •̀ ω •́ )✧ her name is Hibiki! She has been in my head for a while now and I finally decided to properly draw her, so here's a compilation of my favorite drawings of her (and Kuze) ☺️💕

Long short story: Hibiki and Kuze have known each other since childhood. They went to the same martial arts class at a Dojo, which just happens to be owned by Hibiki's father. Years later, Hibiki eventually took the lead of the Dojo as an heiress, almost at the same time when Kuze started his boxing career. Despite their very ambiguous relationship, I like the idea of Hibiki falling in love first... and Kuze falling too late, realizing his feelings for her after getting arrested for 10 years 😔 During Y0, she also works alongside Kuze as the head of the Kenno Clan since he's too busy with the empty lot affair :')

How I feel about this character

Love this guy, kinda a dick but he's great. I'm a little biased since I'm a massive fan of his Eng. dub VA, but with good reason, his voice works so well for this dude. Higashi's so fucking cool, I need his earrings nglll. I also love how sweet he is to the kids that go to his arcade and then immediately becomes pissed when he sees Tak. It's great, I love it.

(He just needs to cut back on the smokin a little, I feel bad for his lungs)

(also, PYIH, I love his little "Ahoy! >:D" in the Eng. dub, it's so fucking cute – best crew-mate frrrr)

Like Tak, not really one for shippin him but uhh; Kaito x Higashi, (crackship) Tak x Higashi, (crackship) Saori x Higashi, and anyone's Higashi selfships

I'm kinda sad we didn't get it, but I'm a big fan of the possibilities of Kuwana and Higashi's interactions if Higashi went to Kamurocho with Kaito and Tak at the beginning of LJ. I think they could've gotten along

Unpopular or not; not enough screentime. I need more Higashi moments and interactions. The screentime he gets is perfect in terms of storytelling, but more pookie pleassseee sjshs

One thing I wish would happen/had happened with him in canon

Therapy. He is not doing well at all, he needs to go to therapy. Or he should've shot Hamura. One of the two works

Bear in mind, while I DO know most of the RGG cast in the mainline games, Ive officially played up until Yakuza 3 (with my cheeky ass finishing Gaiden, IW, and Pirate Yakuza, and ofc the Judgment series)
