this lovely piece is a compliment to the birkat hamazon. it originated among spanish and portuguese jews, with the lore being that they sang it instead of the birkat hamazon during the inquisition to avoid being outed as still practicing judaism but wanting to still hold onto their customs, but it is popular among many different sephardi communities today. it is sung in modern spanish but i’m sure there is a ladino version out there somewhere. i love this performance, i just think the vibe is fantastic. so if you are looking for an addition to your birkat hamazon or want something to use in place of it, consider this song!

The thing about people talking about how much they hate children is that I've never seen any correlation between "openly expressed loathing of children" and "support for policies that actively harm children."

In contrast, when people go out of their way to tell you how much they love children and want to protect children, it's at least a 50/50 chance that you are about to hear support for the most actively evil assault on children's rights and dignity that you can possibly imagine.

yeah and like. a lot of ppl will frame things like hair loss as almost a sort of punishment for going on t??? like “well you chose to make this mistake so you need to accept the consequences.” even other queer ppl!!!! even other trans ppl!!!!!!! and it’s ridiculous bc there’s so many things you can do to mitigate hair loss. there are ways to remove facial hair if you don’t want it. but ppl have this all or nothing approach and see it as wanting “the best of both worlds” which is apparently just unacceptable to them. anyway gonna go apply my daily dose of minoxidil to help maintain my hairline.

I hate how people talk about testosterone and transmascs. Even if someone slightly hints they don't really want one of the changes (like hair loss or something) someone's gotta bring up "You can't pick and choose the changes! A real transmasc wouldn't be saying this. You know T isn't going to turn you into an UWU anime boy, right?"
