It’s been a while since I gave my car a proper wash. Lol. While waiting, I caught myself smiling because this moment is so mundane yet peaceful. I’m just sitting here, letting my mind wander.

I caught myself smiling because I know that if I met my younger self, she would be so proud of me. She would think highly of me and adore me! Hahaha!

I caught myself smiling because I’ve grown so much that sometimes I don’t recognize myself. It’s not a bad thing, though—it feels strange but good. I’m capable of so many things I couldn’t even imagine doing before.

I caught myself smiling because life is what I want it to be. Every heartache and challenge has been worth it. Every doubt and uncertainty now makes sense. I wouldn’t change anything because this is what I prayed for.

I caught myself smiling because I’m here. I’m breathing. I’m living. I’m happy.

Had a long day at work. Didnt plan to go out but I had to coz i need to unwind. Here i am sitting in the middle of high street with my overpriced coffee… life is still good, couldn’t complain… if there’s anything i wanna do now; it’s to freeze time for a while so i can feel the cool breeze on my skin… sit for a few more minutes and not think about tomorrow… stare a little longer and be still… listen to my heart as it pounds heavily coz of too much coffee… i just wanna freeze time for a while so i can stay in this moment a little longer…

i always want to be in control of everything, to act tough, and handle it all. but right now, im feeling a new kind of feeling. this is the first time that im experiencing it... it's strange that i can be soft like legit soft without thinking that i have to "man up". i cant describe how wonderful it is to not demand or ask for things. there's no drama, no complications, it's easy...

im trying to understand all of these coz it feels so good to just be my maarte self... whatever this is, i am glad that im experiencing it all. thank Heavens for this.

And just like that, the weekend went by so fast. Everything is like breezing through these past months. I can't believe that July is almost over. Time is fleeting when you're having fun, and I guess I'm having way too much of it. Not complaining, though; I am in the middle of what I prayed for, and I am here to live every second of it. Sometimes I want to hit pause so I can stay a little longer in that moment, but of course, that's impossible. LOL. Although I am concerned about my future, I love being in the here and now. There's a certain calmness and peace in not knowing and not worrying about what will happen next. It feels good to just focus on the present and absorb whatever is happening. It's 8:52 PM and I'm calling it a day with this corny long ass post. Life is good. <3

i am surrounded by people who not only love and consider me but also share the same wavelength. it's good to just be yourself around them... be silly, and share the most stupid stuff without being judged. it feels good to just laugh and be shallow
