back on my blind tenna headcanon bullshit, basically i hc tenna as visually impaired bcos . he does not have eyes so

the exact headcanon is that he has very blurry/spotty vision and can make out shapes but not very exact things, which is why when he saw spamton he saw a vague shape and size and did not recognise him, mistaking him for a rat

but i was thinking about how him being visually impaired would uniquely affect his battle, for example one could hc that when he does the clap to cut the box in half for an attack, it also sends a sound wave so that he can locate the player, similar to how in ch4 in the darkness your footsteps sound waves provide a small amount of awareness of where walls etc are

also hypothetically there could be an action based on distracting him by throwing something, like maybe an S action that's like "susie threw something over to the left" then all of tennas attacks for that turn target the left side of the box

or yk in the mettaton fight in undertale how the soul itself can shoot stuff, maybe something like that but you have to shoot away from yourself to make noise and make tenna think you're somewhere else

or even maybe ralsei having an R-action where he moves quieter so tennas attacks are less precise

after the fight in the dark with the statue in ch4 i was really inspired as to how lack of sight created unique fights, and how specifically sound is used as a cue, which links to me hcing tenna as visually impaired

these are just random thoughts i have nowhere else to put so yeah
