Hazbin Hotel Redesigns Redux

Part 1 here

These are my redesigns for the characters in an old canon-divergent AU I have called the Grandfather AU, where Charlie has a grandfather.

The story was written by my sibling @theshipminer, who has allowed me to use it (he doesn't want it anymore) while he moved on to make his own Hazbin redesigns and worldbuilding!

targeted the hotel once and backed off after she found it was good for Angel

unconcerned with the hotel, only with Angel Dust

moth, half his senses are dulled because of his dead antenna and also has terrible vision

sharp shooter, in both the camera and gun sense

controls various gases that have one or multiple effects: slowing down minds, numbing pain, heightening euphoria, causing nausea and shortness of breath, causing addiction, etc.

Carmilla Carmine 🗡️:

sinner who became an overlord, weapon-focused

every soul under her name was not coerced or tricked, they become her 'children', and she lets them leave whenever they want

manages Hell's defenses against the yearly purge, doesn't really keep the peace among citizens

her catalogue includes weapons made from angelic metal scraps sold at exclusive price

headquarters are an massive forge that also has a giant operating clock tower. Her district is full of millions-year-old ruins from the old war between worlds

wields the fierce passion of flamenco and the elegant precision of ballet

she's immune to the every fire, including hellfire

she can feel other kinds of pain but has the most pain tolerance out of every overlord, Valentino is a close second

her claws are just as deadly as her shoes but she fights with her legs more

the underside of her gown is lava-coloured, when she fights in her gown it is like swirls of vibrant red and orange

her knife shoes and claws leave a trail of fiery sparks, like flint, when she strikes hard surfaces. She uses this to her advantage in fights (and for dramatic effect)

not human, secretly a fallen angel. Only Zestiel and Lucifer know

Rosie 🫀:

hellborn who became an overlord, food-focused

joyfully runs Pride Ring's farm sector and is mayor of Cannibal Town, which is the capital of her district

made it possible for sinners to have fresh food (eggs, milk, vegetables, fruits, meat)

Cannibal Town is one of the parts of Pride that maintains historical ways of life for those who can't keep up or need a nostalgic break from modernity. It's one of the tourist hotspots of Pride as well, blending both hellborn and human cultures

Cannibal Town also happens to be one of the most snobbish places in Hell, unfortunately

a cooking and farming expert, knows how to raise, maintain, slaughter and prepare about everything grown in hell's unique conditions

does not see a difference between animalistic hellborn and humanoid hellborn, believes all hellborn are food because they are all food that can eat and be eaten, to be returned to nature as nature gives to them.

As hellborn, she is not immortal like a sinner or a royal. However, being an overlord, the souls she owns extend her lifespan. In the event that she does die, she has written her own will to be in the form of a menu of how to cook and serve her for the town.

This makes her a cannibal and feared among other hellborn

friends with Alastor and Mimzy

has collaborated with Carmilla to make kitchenware

Zestial 🦇:

the oldest overlord. He doesn't remember if he was human, hellborn, or royal

all he knows is that he has power over the rot and bugs that claim everything in the end

also seems to have power over fear itself, either suddenly spiking their adrenaline or trapping people in their own minds

acts without hurry and goes with the flow, since he's never had to work for his abilities

jokes that he feels 'young at heart'

doesn't remember making any official soul contracts to own souls. So no one knows how he has supernatural abilities

help with pest control and producing fertiliser on Rosie's farm on occasion, very close friends with Carmilla

hunts people in his spare time, likes to hang around Alastor sometimes. Alastor is scared of him

Since everyone loved my IT girl story I thought I should update you guys on some of the more charming "people don't expect me to be in this position" experiences I've had so far:

Multiple men in other departments have asked if I'm a new bartender or HR hire. Followed by them looking incredibly embarrassed when I say I'm in IT.

Multiple women in other departments treat me like I'm the single coolest person on the planet simply for existing . Several already request me specifically for help despite not even being here for a month yet. I'm a hit with the ladies.

Had a very anxious caller say "Thanks, bro. Ma'am. I MEAN THANK YOU MA'AM" as we ended our convo.

Older employees especially love me. Even if they're usually "difficult" with my (very sweet) coworkers.

Maintenance guy was about to make a poop joke to one of my coworkers and stopped himself. "I can't say that nasty shit, dude...there's a lady in here"!

Boss was discussing setting up a very heavy (100-ish lbs) piece of equipment with me. My lead interrupted him to point out that I can't physically lift that. Boss was visibly confused for a solid 10 seconds before going "...Oh!" (All of my male colleagues, including him, are built like brick shithouses)

We fist bump around here. Was helped to my feet after servicing a machine with a facilities worker. And then he proceeded to give me the gentlest butterfly-kiss of a fist bump I've ever received in my life.

Colleauge meanwhile gave me such a mighty fist bump it physically pushed me back in my chair and then looked like he was going to die of shame immediately after (didnt even hurt lol)

In general, the blue collar workers treat me like a princess made of glass. This includes the single butch lesbian on premises that is even shorter and smaller built than I am.

I started using heart emojis in our teams chat and now all of the IT guys are doing it too.

Security guard clocked me as a lesbian based on my corporate goth vibe alone.
