i just said the same thing on twitter but please please please consider standing up for remote learning options even if everything does somehow go back to normal. so many physically disabled people drop out of school/college because of inaccessibilty. we have been asking for an option like this for so long and keeping it would change the lives of sooooo many people. we have an opportunity to start reforming the educational system to be more accessible to disabled and poor people and i really dont want to lose remote options because ableds are too lazy to keep hosting video calls.

i have fibromyalgia, asthma, newly diagnosed POTS, and multiple mental illnesses. as my chronic illnesses seem to get worse and my parents still don’t believe i need aids, i am again turning to tumblr to ask for help.

August 3, 2020:

Troy Russell (9yr) had a scheduled play date with his friend Toriano Jamison (12yr) and Toriano’s younger brother Max (6yr). The three boys went out to ride their bikes together. While standing next to their bicycles. Shannon Palmer (a 31 year old white woman with multiple DUI’s and reckless driving complaints) drove into the 3 boys with her SUV. She did not stop to check on any of the children and continued to drive home.

Max, the 6 year old, was luckily unharmed and ran to a nearby home to seek help. Troy was airlifted to the hospital. Both he and Toriano remain in critical condition. Troy is facing a leg amputation and both boys have been through several surgeries.

PLEASE share and donate if possible. These boys and their families have such a long road to recovery ahead of them, both physically and mentally and need as much help as possible.

hey again it’s me, tabby. since this pandemic started I haven’t been able to work - I’ve got vulnerable family members living with me and I can’t risk exposing them to COVID because they would very likely die. no remote jobs will take me, I have been searching. I’ve accumulated £2000 in overdraft fees since this pandemic started just trying to stay on top of bills and essential expenses and I can’t pay it off, because I can’t work. I have redbubble and gumroad as my sole income right now which is… nowhere near enough. not even 1%.

the UK government is giving people impacted by this virus absolutely no financial assistance. I can’t claim sick pay due to shielding vulnerable people because we now ‘no longer have to shield’ and must return to work. I’ve made this post before but donations have pretty much dried up - I get that money is tight for absolutely everyone during this situation and I probably seem very pathetic for not sucking it up and working, but even a reblog helps

my paypal is here, and I probably need to raise as much as possible to deal with the next few months of bills, essential costs like food, any necessary clothes, birthdays, etc

I’ve also got a money pool set up specifically for paying off my overdraft payments, here. currently it’s at 70/2000 as I’m making this post (thank you to the people who donated that!)

TLDR PLEASE reblog this, I am begging at this point. I genuinely can’t figure out how else to raise the money. There’s no financial assistance for the pandemic here - the stimulus check went to businesses so they could hire more people, but that doesn’t account for those of us who can’t work. Unemployment has a five week waiting period and you’re expected to apply for jobs 35 hours a week, jobs which I can’t take without sentencing family members to death. I am completely fucking stuck. I do not know what else to do
