I've been struggling to draw lately (thanks to a burnout) but turns out knitting is a great way to combat stress. And as a bonus I got a new jumper now!

I keep using my girlfriend with unusual work hours to get out of coworker interactions and happy hours and hanging out.

But now the company holiday party is upon us.

And I’ve been lying about the girlfriend.

My ancestors, watching me dump an entire stick of cinnamon, two cloves, an allspice berry, and a generous grating of nutmeg into my tea, sweetened with white sugar and loaded with cream, while I sit in my clean warm house surrounded by books, 25+ outfits for different occasions, and 6 pairs of shoes, in a building heated so well I have the windows open in mid-autumn:

Today I worked on some hand sewn buttonholes. Here is an image of not that at all.

A simpler tutorial today. Here's how I made the 3D fish on my amatonormativity project. Used the same exact technique for the fish I've stitched on my fishy beret too.

First, fill outline with bullion stitch. Second, satin stitch over the bullion. Third, add fins with cast-on stitch.
