Akila tries not to let her home-colony’s ways stick with her since the ‘hetero’ and ‘gender conformity’ restrictions are shitty. 

And probably in one their many talks, Magnus has briefly mentioned he wants sparklings one day, but just ends that in an ‘but idk’ type manner. And it drives Akila crazy since A) She doesn’t really want sparklings, but if Mags will help, alright. B) She’s afraid of being like her carrier as a mother C) She’s not even sure her gestation chamber still functions since it was her last concern when Airachnid was poking around in her chassis.

Turns out, she can support a sparkling, but the extraction process from carrier to protoform has a high probability of ending in death due to damage and her smaller spark. 

When she tells Magnus this she’s so scared, what they have has been really good and she doesn’t want future planning to end it. And by the time she gets through her story and sparkling issues, Akila’s distraught and in tears.

Until Magnus reminds her that he can still carry if it ever came to that, they don’t need a sparkling to be happy (their asshole adopted son, loud daughter, and large dinobot are enough), and as long as he’s with her he’ll be happy :’)

Akila having a really warm and inviting dream, where she’s with Sirus again and it feels so real that when she wakes up she expects him to be there with an arm thrown over her waist and loud snoring coming from her former mate.

But instead of him it’s Magnus. And it infuriates her that she still dreams and misses her dead sparkmate, and just how similar Magnus and Sirus are (she sleeps better with Mags tho bc he snores less), and she so badly wants the mech who took her servo and led her wrecklessly through battle and dates just to feel the thrill again.

And instead of pushing those thoughts away and curling back into Magnus’ embrace, she gets out of bed and just leaves. No note, takes nothing but her weapon, and scrambles her signal.

She’s decided she’ll never feel that adrenaline again if she keeps playing it safe, and living with a walking rulebook wasn’t going to help anything

Tom Chandler is almost what Magnus looks like in my human headcanons; a sharper jaw and more salt and peppered hair and there he is.

I never post here anymore So imagine Akila and Magnus getting into some argument, probably something stupid. They eventually have to go tame a predacon, Magnus was grumpy already, dealing with these assholes isn't making it better. Akilas pissed at Magnus (your wife is always right even when they're wrong), and doesn't bother to help him cope with the threat like she usually does. Huge blow up ensues, throw a couple 'well maybe we shouldn't be togethers' in there and they're on opposite teams with the same target. Predacon takes down Mags first, online just a bit injured. As its focus is on him, Akila tries to attack from behind, but gets swatted away by its tail. She's thrown and bounces hard off of the ground and skids to a stop face down showing no signs of getting back up. The rest is up to you B)

Sooo.... I have in Venus' bio (I'm updating it) that Venus was sent to kill Magnus but it didn't work out. So I imagined her getting dared by Akila to tell them something about her time as an assassin and she just tells Akila, "Well there was that one time I was sent to kill shoulder pads..."
