kanamafu au idea for mermay,,

Mafuyu is a newbie sailor, recently set out on an expedition. She's travelling in order to experience new sights and cultures, and to hopefully discover more about herself. Along the way, the ship runs into some troubles, crashing into a small cove and seaside town far away from their home. The townspeople are welcoming to the stranded crew, but warn them of great danger; there are monsters in the water, lurking all around the town.

Kanade is a siren who is desperate to use her singing for good. Siren's voices have the power to bring calamity- crashed ships, drowned sailors... Kanade has seen too much tragedy. She wants to use her voice to save somebody. Yet it seems like every attempt only causes more and more damage. Finding the sailors who have crashed near her cove, Kanade is determined to help them. But sirens aren't easily trusted, it's not like she can just approach them, can she?

Mafuyu finds Kanade by chance, but to Kanade's surprise, this girl doesn't fear her. She doesn't seem to fear anything. Commence shenanigans between them as they try to save Mafuyu's ship so they can go home!

a girl trapped in a never-ending dream where she’s the only person who exists in the entire world (and yet, there are no visible consequences, everything still functions the way it does in reality). she has no memory of her previous life besides a vague idea of how her friends looked and acted.

the boy who trapped both of them in the dream in the first place by striking a deal with a demon because he wanted her all to himself, but upon seeing how unhappy she is without her friends even though he’s always there for her, starts questioning if it was even worth it.
