The Bluewater Originals - 1

Refurbished by Parchment, Paper & Co

Due to a preservation order being slapped on three original properties in Bluewater Village, developers Parchment, Paper & Co had no alternative but to refurb them and move them on. Not all investments work out for the best.

The first of the originals to return to the open market is a four bedroom, three storey Victorian property.

Yes the French doors are an unsightly addition, and the replacement of the original interior doors (woodworm apparently) is unfortunate... but little of the character of the building has been lost.

At just shy of 40K this is a chance to own a piece of history and make it your own.

Call Harry on the P,P&C hotline - he's an intern and as such anything that he says about the damp-proof course, single skim brick walls or the uneven patio flooring should be ignored.

OMG! It's real. Swimmable Pond Sims 2.... whispers [For Download]

So, @kashmiresims literally is a genius. The base/pre made swimmable pond was made by them. I did the DECO, because I'm a DECO girlie. I've had my sims swimming their butts off.

It's literally so much fun. I also love that you can see the fish swimming with them, like OMG!

[TS2] Sim Bio on Tombstones (Commissioned)

This is a mod that was commissioned to me by @IlexVici on Twitter, so credit for the idea and concept goes to her :)

This mod adds a new "About" immediate interaction to urnstones and tombstones if the deceased Sim has a biography, and will display it in a pop-up message when clicked.

Installation - Important!

Installation is weird as this is an experimental mod, using a modding framework called TS2Hook.

You need Sims2RPC to ins tall this mod.

The zip file contains a "Downloads" folder, the contents of this folder go into your "Documents/EA Games/The Sims 2/Downloads" folder as usual.

However, there is also a "TSBin" folder, the contents of which go into your "Sims 2 Mansion and Garden installation directory/TSBin", where Sims2RPC is installed.

If all went well, you'll see a "TS2Hook (1 script loaded)" text on the top left corner of the screen when you launch TS2, and the interaction should show up in-game.

What even is TS2Hook?

TS2Hook is a tool for creating mods that weren't possible before, still in development. It lets you do things like interaction injection (which this mod does, so it doesn't replace any resources, making it conflict free) and much, much more, even custom cheats!

I thought this would be a good mod to use TS2Hook on, as TS2 normally doesn't actually let you access Sim bios to display them, this was only possible thanks to TS2Hook.

Solid Doors Light Fix

With this mod, light does not pass through the doors The Wooden Curve (Seasons aka EP5) and “Frame of Preference” Wide Edition (Mansion & Garden Stuff aka SP9). Originally it does, and illuminates objects, but not floors or walls.

Sims 2 Tips and Tricks

-Wall phones can still be used if they’re behind a counter -Wall mirrors can be used if they’re behind a dresser -When trying to get your kids into private school, have your Sim drink coffee. The Headmaster will grab a cup and give you 10 bonus points -Leftover pizza and Chinese food can be put in a Sim’s inventory to keep it from spoiling -Food stands can be used in Sim-owned businesses -The recolor window can be dragged to a different part of the screen so it’s not covering the object -Cars are still driveable even if the driveway piece isn’t connected to the road or you had to use Move Objects to place the driveway. The car will transport to the road instead of doing the pull-out animation -When pledging a fraternity, Hang Out and Play Kickybag are the fastest ways to build points with the members -Game tables are still usable when placed with the quarter tile cheat -Toddlers can sleep in pet beds and eat from pet food bowls, they’ll do it autonomously when their needs are low -If a Sim with the Wealth aspiration is caught cheating they can bribe the jealous partner to forgive them

Aliens Ask About Pollination

Just a little mod that I wanted for my own game, and that turned out to be very easy to make! With this mod, there will now appear a pop-up upon the abducted sim returning to the lot, asking if they accepted to get pollinated. Answering yes results in alien pregnancy, answering no doesn't. Adult sims of all genders will get the same question, with the same consequences.

Download (SFS) (alternate) - likely conflicts with any other mod related to alien abductions. Should be compatible with all game setups, but please let me know if you have issues!

Baby Personality Mod

I needed this for my own game, so here’s a mod that scraps the stupid 25-35 personality point limit that the game uses for born-in-game sims and completely re-calculates baby’s personality upon birth with the following logic:

Each personality trait is randomly inherited from either of the parents (if the pregnancy was started through alien abduction the other parent’s personality is randomized)

Then the personality trait is randomized again so that it can be anything between two lower or two higher than the corresponding trait of the parent that it was inherited from

There’s no longer a limit for how many personality points babies can have so their personality point count can be anything between 0-50, based on the personalities of their parents

This leads to much more variety than with the original system. Baby’s zodiac sign will no longer match to their personality, though, as it’s going to be whatever it was set to before this mod re-calculated the personality. Tbh I have no idea how I could change it to the right one but I don’t see this as a bad thing myself as it adds a random element to the attraction system.

This mod also modifies plantbabies personalities so that their personality traits are no longer exact clones of their parent’s, but instead can be anything between one lower or one higher than the corresponding trait of the parent. Their zodiac signs were already randomized so no changes with that. 

Download (SFS) (alternate) - Midge’s Baby Last Name Chooser is incorporated, so if you already have it in your game make sure to remove it before adding this! This mod is compatible with twojeff’s Triplets & Quads, kestrellyn’s Name the Father, and Midge’s Birth Options as long as my mod loads after them. As always, let me know if you find anything wonky.

Credits to @midgethetree for the baby last name chooser and for very patiently helping me creating this mod. I’m just starting to learn modding myself so this wouldn’t have been possible without them. 

Edit: This mod conflicts with InTeen, but @iwilleatyoualive made a version compatible with it that you can download from here! Just make sure that it loads after InTeen as well. Many thanks for the compatible version! 

Edit2: This mod also conflicts with both Cyjon’s Plantbaby Changes and  Almighty Hat’s G-Rated Religion mod. I made an edit of plantbaby changes that’s compatible with my mod, you can grab it from here. With the religion mod you should be fine as long as my mod loads after, many thanks to @opheliaraingalaxy for testing!

Update (5.5.2021): Incorporated a fix that Midge made for Baby Last Name Chooser to solve a compatibility issue with kestrellyn’s Name The Father.

Update (25.10.2021): Fixed a glitch that caused the personality traits inherited from the father getting calculated a bit wonkily in some cases.

We don't have enough circular/round rugs and I've caught the cottagecore fever! I initially intended for this to be inspired swatch-wise by the Cottage Living pack colors, but I worked on this over two or three sessions and I kind of lost my way, haha.

Trying to match the Cottage Living rug made for a really bright rug color, so I made a more desaturated, toned-down set of swatches, a cooler-toned set, and a set with a dark brown rug for more harvest/witchy vibes.
