unexpected hero prompts.

technically prompts inspired by the deus ex machina trope but !! basically these prompts are for scenarios in which muses are in a situation where they're under attack and an unexpected hero arrives! i hope you enjoy them!

     Eerie silence filled the room between the two. Fenris awkwardly looked back at Hawke, not really knowing what to tell her. He wasn’t exactly good in these type of situations & he was never the type to lie in order to comfort a person. He & Hawke often did not see eye to eye in certain situations but that didn’t undermine all the good she had done for Kirkwall. 

     “ Perhaps you aren’t. “ his answer was blunt but not ill-meaning. 

     “ But that doesn’t mean people aren’t going to see you as one. “ he continued, his voice sounding quite confident as he spoke. “ You can’t really blame them for doing so either.  You’ve helped a lot of people, Hawke, even those who did not necessarily deserve it. No matter how you see yourself, you are a hero to them. “

     Arms crossed over his chest tightly, Fenris watched as the mabari greeted the visitor with excited barks & tail wags. Right as Sebastian had entered the mansion, the dog had rushed to see who could be on the other side of the door. Kneeling down onto the floor to the animal’s level, Fenris scratched the dog from behind his ears, exciting him even more. 

     “ I guess I’m looking after him for the day. “ he didn’t sound too bothered by the dog-sitting duty - quite opposite actually. 

     “ He isn’t much bother to me, I spend most of my time alone anyways. He’s a very smart creature & a lot better company than most people are. “
