LOOKING UP as the door clicks shut, she isn’t fazed the slightest. she leans against the pole and sighs, nodding in response to her words. her actions seem delayed from the strong combination of exhaustion and lack of sleep.

❝ ―yeah, the subway isn’t my favorite thing to take either. ❞

she stretches her left arm in an attempt to keep herself awake.

SOMETIMES you saw some pretty “odd” things happen in a subway late at night. tonight didn’t seem too “odd” just a girl, shorter than five feet tall dressed all in black standing instead of sitting down on the train.

she mumbles to herself, absentmindedly fixing her gloves.

SUBWAYS wasn’t something michelle usually used, but from time to time it was nice with a change, not needing to teleport everywhere and nowhere. sometimes it was pleasant to see the city landscape and hear nothing but the silence of the night.

the doors closed behind her the moment her feet touched the dirty and cold floor.

feli’s mcu verse she has a lot of knowledge about mutants and thinks they’re pretty amazing. basically saying, even if she saw their abilities she wouldn’t be like “OMG HOW?!” she’d probably say “oh cool bro”

the small girl chuckles.

only a few hours before; she was dropped off at a friends house for “movie night”. those were the times she actually enjoyed spending time with her “friend”. as soon as she arrived, movie night was cancelled and party it was. when she asked her what she was thinking, the girl only answered , “it’ll be a super epic party!! you’ll have fun!!”

❝ well, i’m not a fan of parties in general. ❞ she glances over at him. 

❝ my friend, lizzie brought me, she thinks its weird that i’ve never gone to one of these...  ❞ 

she motions to the house, and then looks back at him. maybe she’d wait a little longer to call her mom, besides, she might have to “save” lizzie from partying too much, poor kid hadn’t even hit 15 before she was practically hypnotized by her step aunt.

❝ you know when you become friends with someone and they change ?? ❞  she pauses for a moment, ❝ ‘cause that seems to happen to me a lot. ❞

she sits on the porch alone. parties aren’t really her thing; sure she’ll go with her friend but she usually ends up somewhere out of the way. bright lights, dancing, and loud music don’t bother her, but in the company of possibly drunk teens, she hates it. 

taking a deep breath she buries her face in her hands. she could have her mom pick her up, but her friend would find out about it and probably get upset. claiming things like ‘you are the worst friend ever’ and other dramatic explanations.  for now, she hides outside. 

hearing the door swing open she resists the curiosity of looking over her shoulder. she is interested enough to speak up, though.

❝ what brings you out here? ❞

he got to the party because of simon, it wasn’t like they were exactly invited, simon violated some public rules and learned the address where it was going to be held. they had nothing better to do, so of course they would show up to a loud, way to bass-boosted party. laughing at drunk singers, drunk dancers, mainly anyone who seemed to be drunk.

he couldn’t participate in the drinking, due to previous tests in the lab proving he had no control over his ability when under the influence. he needs to get away from it all, so he gives the taller male’s sleeve a tug and tells him that he’s going to just outside for air.

he weaved through the crowd, finally opening the door to take a step into the air that didn’t smell like sweat and cheap liquor. jumping slightly at the words, barely even noticing the female. proving to himself that he needed to look at his surroundings more often.

headcannon

feli has a friend named lizzie who’s 15 years old. lizzie goes to public school, but she and feli met over their love of books when feli’s mom had a bake sale at the library.

lizzie is one of those girls that acts like the perfect daughter and super sweet but when her parents are away she goes out and attends loud parties with lots of drinking. her “cousin” really her step aunt, is only 16 and eggs on this behavior. 

lizzie’s aunt also kind of shames feli a lot and makes her come along since she thinks she’s “behind”.

yeah that explains my “awkward feli outside a party” threads lol.
