"I hope you're not mad about the album name," Yoonah tells the tombstone in front of her. "I don't think you're mad about it but..." Yoonah shrugs, adjusting her dress as she looks down at the grass around her.

"Just in case you are and want to haunt me or whatever."

Her trips to Jinhwa's grave feel compulsive at this point. Every Sunday since the funeral, she's been showing up at his grave with no clear memory of how she got there. She won't even remember getting in the car. She's suddenly on her knees in front of a big grey tombstone with the earth beneath her.

Yoonah looks around the cemetery, humming at the nature around her as she hears a bird chirp. "I'm doing really well," Yoonah tells him, "But I'm also not. I feel bad. I don't know about what, but I feel bad."

The sky is bright cerulean, with barely any clouds looming above. It almost hurts her eyes to look at it for long. She sighs, looking back at the grass and beginning to run her fingers over the blades of stiff green, ripping them out in bunches of seven.

"I just, like, have everything I want, but I feel like I can't even enjoy it because you're, like, fucking everywhere, but that's my fault. I named the album after your suicide, which I don't even know if I believe," Yoonah rambles, tossing the blades of grass at the tombstone. "You wouldn't just kill yourself because you didn't get your way. I think Jeju Island with your stupid ancient laptop making illegal business–"

"Yoonah?"

Yoonah turns her head to the voice, brows knit and expression unfriendly but then she sees who it is and she softens but she doesn't smile.

"Noah," Yoonah says as the boy walks over to where she's sitting, standing above her with some droopy white flowers in his hand. He clearly picked them on his way here. Yoonah thinks its sweet but it's tainted when she thinks about how Jinhwa would call him stupid for it. He's trying at least. Yoonah has never brought flowers to Jinhwa's grave. She didn't even bring any to the funeral.

"Why are you always here? Cutting in on my time with my dad," Noah grumbles like she's actually a problem, bending down to sit on the ground with her. His knees crack and he grunts as he does so, making her laugh quietly.

"I'm not always here. We just have the same days off."

"I'm always off now," Noah dismisses, leaning forward to drop the wad of fluffy white flowers in front of Jinhwa's grave. Yoonah sighs, blinking at the nature in front of the stone before glancing over at Noah to her side.

"Do you really want to be here?" Yoonah asks, voice tired and soft. Noah softens at that, his playful demeanor beginning to melt away as his lips quirk to the side, shrugging.

"Not really," He answers, "Do you?"

Yoonah shakes her head, sighing through her nose.

"Not at all." But neither of them move at their confessions. They stay sat on the grass as if they're the ones buried beneath it. Yoonah's head rests on Noah's arm, knowing they'll be here awhile.

Noah looks over at her with a small smile. He likes not being alone. He rests his hand on hers, clenched into fists in her lap. Yoonah doesn't let her fist unfold for a minute, digging her nails harder into her palm for just a second more before she finally unclenches and lets her fingers spread out, wrapping around Noah's.

It is easier when you're not alone.

THE THING ABOUT JINHWA. The worst-kept secret in the idol industry. Written By ... Angelina Choi || Published by ... The Daily Idol

Angelico Entertainment. You know the name, you know the idols, and you know the CEO. Said to be the hottest CEO in the industry, Son Jinhwa has managed and produced over 25 groups and even more soloists. From the likes of 4Wishes, EVE, VENUS, and DeepDive these are just a few of the names of groups he's created and made rise to stardom. Despite building an empire off his artists' backs, he has proven time and time again to only think of himself and how to line his silk-lined pockets.

Recently, Jinhwa has embroiled himself in his biggest controversy yet. Former top-selling artist Jung Yoonah, once known as Baebi, is currently suing Jinhwa for withholding assets as well as filing criminal charges against him for aggravated assault. While Jinhwa has a well-covered past of being sued and dropped criminal charges, Yoonah is the most public and notable figure to step up against the power-hungry CEO.

Son Jinhwa wasn't always this way. He was born to a single mother in Daegu, South Korea without knowing who his father was for the majority of his life. Though it was hopeful to think that Jinhwa's ignorance to his father's identity would be because of the man's prison sentence for the sexual assault of his mother, that is not the reality. The now-deceased man, Han Taeyeong, was only sentenced three months for his crimes and only served one before being let out on good behavior. He would go on to re-offend several more times before his untimely death in 2015.

In Jinhwa's self-written biography, he claims he worked adamantly to be nothing like his father. Who is going to tell him he is nearly a mirror image of him?

The first controversy against Jinhwa arose back in 2005 during his acting career when he was arrested for assaulting a man at a bar. The assault was violent, leaving the man, who was later revealed to be the bartender, with a broken nose, a ruptured globe, and a dislocated jaw. The reasons for this assault were never given and while charges were pressed, they were soon dropped and the victim disappeared from the media. Jinhwa would go on to star in a blockbuster hit that same year with no legal or social repercussions.

His first controversy as a CEO came to be in 2012 with the debut of his second girl group 4WISHES. 4WISHES was a South Korean girl group consisting of four members Soojin, Bada, Lexa, and Sunny. Sunny, who would later shed her stage name to use her legal name Kim Misun, was the youngest of the group at just fourteen. It's now public knowledge that Jinhwa and Misun would later go on to have a child together but back in 2012, rumors were flying about the pair's relationship.

We were lucky enough to interview Misun about her relationship with her former CEO and romantic partner. This is her first interview since a smear campaign was run on her last year about her failure as a mother. Misun, stark black hair sleek and flowing over her shoulders, looks healthy and has a glow to her never seen before.

When asked about her relationship with Jinhwa, she provided pictures of them together. She's significantly younger than him in every one of them, resembling his daughter more than his lover in a majority of the photos.

"We were together for seven years. I want to say we started dating when I was seventeen but he told me to tell people we got together when I was twenty. I wasn't twenty. I was seventeen the first time he told me he wanted to marry me." Misun would go on to explain, backing her statements up with photos of her and Jinhwa on her seventeenth birthday, the pair holding hands as Misun blows out her candles. She said her mother took those photos and approved of the relationship.

The two are no longer in contact.

"My mother knew Jinhwa had groomed me. I think she was in love with Jinhwa too or she really wanted me to be famous...Either way, she knew and she let it happen. I can never forgive her for that."

Misun shares that Jinhwa confessed to loving her the first time he saw her. The first time he saw her was in 2009 at a private Angelico audition held at her middle school. Misun would've been around fourteen at the time. The photo she shows us to prove her story shows her in adolescence with a brace-face smile and slicked-back ponytail with Jinhwa beside her, smiling proudly.

Contact was cut with Jinhwa when Misun turned 24 but she says they drifted apart much earlier: "It was probably after I gave birth to his son when his interest in me started to die. It was 2017 when I could see him...Looking at other girls. Not women. Girls. He'd cheat on me with them but by that time...I kind of had an understanding of what we were at that point so I didn't care. I just felt bad."

Though Misun is his most well known victim, she isn't his only one. Jinhwa has a laundry list of girls and boys who have attempted to come forward about his grooming only to be silenced with violence or legal threats.

In 2015, former 4Wishes member Lexa came forward on Twitter to claim Jinhwa is a predator who abuses his power to silence those who speak against him. Her entire account was deleted hours later and an apology was posted on the 4Wishes account, blaming the outburst on Lexa's poor mental health. She wasn't seen on social media for six months after the incident.

in 2016, former EVE member Lina would post on her Weibo about the guilt she carries for not protecting her younger members from their "sick boss". The post was deleted an hour later and Lina would apologize, saying her mental health was on the decline. She would never mention Angelico again.

2017 charges were filed against him by an anonymous victim who was dubbed "Victim A" claiming to have been coerced into sex with Jinhwa for the promise of a debut. The charges were dropped a mere week later and said to be defamation. The victim was never identified and the charges were erased from his record. This would not be the only instance of this claim against the man.

And now, in 2023 we're here with the trial of Jung Yoonah.

Jung Yoonah began her training at Angelico in 2015 after Son Jinhwa personally sought her out upon hearing she left SM Entertainment. At the time, Yoonah had already been training for five years and had just lost out on the chance to debut. Since her recruitment, the pair have always been close which raised the eyebrows of fans.

At this time, Yoonah would've been 17 and Jinhwa would've been 34.

In court statements, Yoonah reveals their sexual relationship began when she was 21 and grew from there. She would go on to say their relationship operated on a reward system: Yoonah would do what he wanted and Jinhwa would reward her with basic tasks a boss was meant to do.

Though their sexual relationship began when she was 21, his sexualization of her began the second of her debut. Yoonah's "promiscuous" image was not her own decision like it seemed to be marketed as but instead a self-serving and calculated choice by Jinhwa. Even before her solo debut, Yoonah was styled in the shortest skirts, the tightest tops, and showed the most skin among her members.

It's been said countless times throughout history that it will repeat itself. Jinhwa is walking repettion, constantly looking for a new girl to repeat his cycle of abuse on. This trial represents something more than the battle of a brand or a broken wrist, it's the breaking of a cycle that Jinhwa is complacent and eager to continue.
