Especially when Antiope died… That scream of devastation the brunette unleashed was more emotional than any Nicholas Sparks movie I’ve ever seen.

​not to get into anything but saying antiope and menalippe cant be a thing bc they’re sisters but using greek mythology as reference is literally a huge ass backfire………. there are very few things more incestuous than greek mythology

General Antiope

Can I just say that after watching the movie (and countless gifs of the battle on Themyscira), It would seem that General Antiope is able to shoot her bow with her left AND right hands? Amazing. During the charge on horseback, she is using her left hand and drawing the bow with her right, yet in the epic Three Arrows scene, she is using her right hand to hold the bow and drawing with the left. Naturally, the most fierce and courageous Amazon would possess such amazing skills. Just confirms what a complete badass she is, and I cannot get enough of her!

And Menalippe holding the shield for Antiope to launch….no words for the epic-ness of it. I want to live there, in Themyscira, and train, love, and live with all of them. It is my new happy place.

i’ve seen this thing going around how you can’t/shouldn’t ship general antiope with menalippe because they’re sisters and like, sure, okay, perhaps that was the case in greek mythology (as was a lot of other things), but hear me out.

in wonder woman, the amazons aren’t the daughters of ares, as they are in the original myths, they’re a created people, made by the gods, not sired by them. they have no mothers, no fathers, they’re essentially immortal, the amazons you see in the film are the original ones that were first created, not descendants.  

if two of them are sisters, then they’re all technically sisters.

i would, however, argue that they are sisters-in-arms.

therefore i say ship away, my friends. ship. away.
