Last night I had the pleasure of getting to see a band that I’ve loved since I was about 14 years old; Hellogoodbye at The Observatory in Santa Ana, CA. I’ve seen them before and once again, they put on a great show. It was announced that they were playing Zombies! Aliens! Vampires! Dinosaurs! And Would it Kill You?, the latter being my favorite album by them (and honestly easily in my top 10 favorite albums of all time), and the former being the album that was out when I was 14 and loving them. Unfortunately, they didn’t play my favorite song by them (The Thoughts That Give Me the Creeps, Would it Kill You?), but nevertheless, it was a great show. And anyways, I can understand why they didn’t. It’s definitely not their most catchy song, I just love it because I really relate with the lyrics and think that they’re beautiful. Opening for them was Chris Farren, who I had never heard of, but he did a great show as well that had me laughing basically from beginning to end (in a good way). I have to say thanks to one of my best friends, Kathleen, for the invite. Here is us at the bar before the show started (and also before she got wasted). ;)

I’ll start by saying this: I am not a writer. I never have been or strived to be one. In school I did well in English classes because I’m a perfectionist and anything less than an A was unacceptable. In college I actually majored in Economics. It really shaped the way I see the world, the way I spend my money, the way I do my job, and the way I live my day to day life. Economics is in everything. Even in my idea of starting this post. The gratification I can get from expressing myself is beneficial enough to make me put myself out there, to get out of my comfort zone, to expose myself to criticism, which is something I’ve never been able to do. But this blog isn’t about economics in the most raw form, it’s about life. It’s about fashion and saving money. It’s about traveling. It’s about telling the world about my point of view and the way I see beauty in the world. My goal is to post at least once a week, and in turn to experience or do something at least once a week that’s worth talking about. All of this is about living my best life and being the best version of myself that I can be. Welcome to my world.
