Comic about the Four Knights of Gwyn

I inferred from the Japanese description of the cat covenant ring (source) that Arty had more animal friends than human friends. He's like a disney princess lol.

At this point I realize I'm only missing a ds2 comic from my repertoire but I don't have any ideas and want to finish the bb stuff first too. But on account of life I probably won't get to draw comics as much for a while.

Long comic-making blog as usual

I got the gwyndolin headpiece csp 3d model from here.

Originally this was going to be an exercise in going for speed over polish (I'm sure no one really minds that I drew these two jackasses off model or whatever). Well, I'm still working on that… But I got some good practice using in-game screenshots. I WILL have to learn to cut more corners for future comics cuz I don't want my wrist to fall off drawing all these ds armor sets lmao.

I've complained before about writing around esoteric souls lore but at least bb is more forgiving via "it was all just a dream" or "it was fucking aliens". Meanwhile ds3 has two preceding games' stories plus within ds3 trying to figure out what's actual canon and what's just cut and reshuffled content, of which there is practically a whole other game's worth. And again, after a certain point you kind of give up and make "draw what you wanted to draw" the main objective. Not to say that canon compliance isn't important to me, but if I didn't deprioritize it a little I'd never get anything done lol.

I just think feathers in hats are super cute. The only ones in the game are Maria's and Henryk's (curiously his doesn't have it in the in-game image). Also I'm going with the "henryk is gascoigne's father-in-law" theory, even though there's nothing to prove nor disprove it, as it is with most souls theories. Maybe you could argue they revisited the idea of helping put down an NPC's grandpa for a quest in DS3. I was hoping to find an art style that would suit both the Gothic killing and violence game and a lighthearted comic and also be quick and easy to draw, but no such luck, it seems… Next is Maria and then maybe Valtr if a script hits me, I drew some thumbs for the former at least but I'm facing my great enemy of dialogue, boo. I also want to draw some ds3 stuff too cuz I been playing that the most.
