ID: A tiktok by @/LaKenzo, a white person with curly brown hair and large, square framed glasses. The video showcases closeups of melting crayons and their impressive collection of dandelion yellow crayola crayons and related paraphernalia. They narrate the video as follows:
“Today you’re gonna watch me melt down some of my discontinued dandelion crayons. Before you freak out, this is the plan. For those of you all who don’t know dandelion crayons were retired back in 2017 and they were my favorite growing up so I’ve been collecting them ever since, while also collecting any broken ones I came across.
[Showing a wooden shelf with nine slots.]
Because this old thimble shelf that I used to keep trinkets in, it has nine slots in it and there are nine letters in the word dandelion. So I thought it would look cool to melt down the dandelions and put them in letter molds so we can spell out ‘dandelion’ on this shelf.
[Holding up a hot glue skillet and then a silicone alphabet mold.]
So I found this online, it’s a hot glue skillet that you’re meant to melt sticks of hot glue in. And then I got these silicone alphabet molds from Michael’s. [voice pitched down] It works, look at that! [normal voice] Okay so I melted down a white crayon just to test it…[pouring the crayon into the molds] okay - ope, I made a mess. [popping the crayon letters from the molds] Y’all, it worked!
[They repeat the process with the dandelion crayons, zooming in on the melted crayons.]
That is liquid gold right there, very cheesy.
[As they pour the letters, the letter ‘o’ fills up evenly and smoothly.]
Now that was satisfying. I just cannot get over this color, look at it! And for anyone asking yes it absolutely reeks of crayons in here now and it’s absolutely amazing.
[They pop the letters out of the molds.]
Now I just gotta cut off all the [stutters] access wax [laughs and continues with clearer pronunciation] excess wax, oh my gosh, and then they’ll be done.
Alright and here they are, they’re all done, and yes, you can actually use them as crayons. Just look at that color, literally the most beautiful color to ever exist.
[They place the letters into the trinket shelf on the wall.]
And there it is. I think I’m into it. So now even the broken crayons have a place of honor in the dandelion crayon collection.”
End ID.
