Gakuen Babysitters was so cute! A light anime is exactly what I needed.

I love Hayato's I-don't-give-a-fuck attitude and how he becomes mellow when it comes to Ryuichi. I ship them so much.

I love how the story keeps on meeting my expectations. It was really funny but in a good way.

I don't know if it's weird but I suddenly feel the urge to also ship Usaida and Saikawa.

Aren't they adorable????

I also truly love how Saikawa and Chairwoman Morinomiya treat Kotaro and Ryuichi as family. I just love that even though the Chairwoman appears tough, she won't hesitate to help them in her own way.

Even though Ryuichi and Kotaro lost their parents, they were given a new family in a different way. It's not so bad after all.

I just love everything about this anime.

I have a question about the bindi, is that okay for me to ask? I haven't seen many people wearing it and I'm seeing all these bindi posts. Is the bindi a certain shape? I see some teardrop ones or circle ones is the shape meaningful? Or the color?

(It’s not a problem, and I hope you don’t mind if I publish this, but it seems like something other people might want to know too) 

Okay so basically the bindi is a huge part of Hindu and Indian culture (I go into the whole backstory and symbolism here). The traditional bindi is a red dot and marks you as a married woman. If we’re following tradition widows don’t wear any bindi, though in south India they’re permitted to wear black ones, and unmarried girls can wear whatever shape and color you want. Now days the bindi is symbolic of certain spiritual things, more than status, and they’ve become decorative over the years. So a decorative bindi can come in any shape an color and may or may not include rhinestones. This is types we wear to parties and stuff with our Indian clothes. So I guess to answer your question, if we’re talking tradition, shape and color do matter, but now days not so much.

On another note:

The reason we get so mad about the appropriation of the bindi (or at least me personally) is because A) it has so much symbolic meaning, which the people who just wear it because they think it’s cute or quirky don’t understand and B) a lot of these people are the same ones who make fun of our “gross” food, dark skin, and hard to pronounce names. They’re the same people who call us Tech Support and Terrorists and ask us if we’re going to end up in an arranged marriage. They can’t just deem one part of our culture to be trendy and condemn the rest.

School Babysitters(Gakuen Babysitters)

A feel good anime about cute children!

Ryuichi and Kotaro are brothers who lost their parents in an airplane crash. They’re taken in by the chairman of Morinomiya Academy, who lost her son and daughter-in-law in the same crash, on one condition: Ryuichi has to babysit the kids at the daycare room in the school! 

The daycare room consists of the children of some of the teachers at the school, but due to staffing issues(aka middle-schoolers and high-schoolers don’t want to babysit children all day), there is not much help. Thus Ryuichi becomes the first official member of the babysitter’s club!

It is a cute, heartwarming anime that tugs at the heartstrings as well. The children are cute, and the stories are both funny and sweet.

It’s recommended for those who want to cry, but then laugh like…10 seconds later….

Something else that is shown in the anime is that even though they are teenagers there is no actual romance. A couple characters have crushes, but never really act. And it is mentioned a couple times that Ryuichi has no time to care about crushes, when he still has to take care of his little brother. For him family comes first, and its nothing to be ashamed of.

There is a manga that goes much further that I have actually read. It extends the cuteness and recommended if you read manga as well.
