just watched an edit of all the times arthur protected merlin, the subtle moments in battle where arthur grabs merlin and drags him behind him to act as his human shield. someone in the comments said merthur considered themselves one another’s protector. something something arthur being merlin’s knight in shining armor something something uther calling merlin arthur’s guardian angel

Let me break it down for you:

Hot peasant girl saves Arthur from getting killed. The king makes this girl bound to Arthur forever by making her Arthur’s servant. They fall in love.

Sound familiar? OR IF MERLIN CAME OUT SOMETIME AFTER 2019, THEY WOULD’VE MADE OUT BEFORE ANYTHING ELSE.

it's so crazy to me the fact that someone wrote lines such as "do you know how to walk on your knees? would you like me to help you?" and "I could take you apart with one blow" and the direct answer to that "I could take you apart with less than that"

then someone reviewed these lines and someone approved them. then bradley and colin had to read them, decorate them, and then act them while many were around watching and filming them delivering those lines. and someone else also had to watch those scenes again on post production.

and it aired on the very first episode of the very first season of this show. mind-blowing.
