I want to do maintenance on pAInter, to gently clean his components and untangle his wires, to spend all the time i need to make sure he’s okay. I want to sit there with him, carefully taking him apart, not to change him, not to hurt him, but to give him the care that he’s gone so long without. I want him to know he can trust me, that I’ll be gentle, that I won’t be like the horrible people that came before. I want to dust off his chassis when I’m done, to smile at him as I power him back on, and see his beautiful face smiling back.
