𝐀𝐏𝐏𝐄𝐀𝐑𝐀𝐍𝐂𝐄𝐒 𝐀𝐑𝐄 𝐒𝐄𝐋𝐃𝐎𝐌 𝐖𝐇𝐀𝐓 𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐘 𝐒𝐄𝐄𝐌. for starters, a sturdy and tall UNBREAKABLE thing she seems, yet all the same her foundation is shaky and chipping away slowly. it has been this way, since she was merely eleven and lost to he-who-must-not-be-named's chambers. yet, once more, the seemingly steady feet of ginny weasley threaten to give way with the passing of her brother. each day grows more and more difficult to stand tall, like there's some immense depth added to the gravity upon her.

this overwhelming grief has caused her to move out, seek solace in her independence. run from anything that reminded her of what once was, and could no longer be. she's a ghost, aimlessly wandering the shops of diagon alley. there's no emotion to her face, no shadow of a clue of the internal conflict going on behind brown eyes.

yet, she fights the instinct to stop in her tracks upon the notice of draco malfoy. so much pent up anger, bitterness - all this rage she could so easily throw his way. instead, she offers up a brief greeting and moves past him. for a book shop in diagon alley is not the place to unleash years of resentment on an unsuspecting YET DESERVING draco malfoy. ❝ pardon ──── ❞

𝐇𝐄 𝐖𝐀𝐒 𝐎𝐅𝐓𝐄𝐍 𝐓𝐎𝐋𝐃 𝐇𝐈𝐒 𝐒𝐈𝐋𝐄𝐍𝐂𝐄 𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊𝐄𝐃 𝐋𝐈𝐊𝐄 𝐀𝐑𝐑𝐎𝐆𝐀𝐍𝐂𝐄. but truth be told, he didn't CARE enough about other people to take the time to feel better than them. other people don't cross his mind, they don't shadow the thoughts that plague him. no, only demons weighed this young man down - things the average person wouldn't, couldn't, or shouldn't understand.

that is, however, what you get when your blasted father bites off more than he can chew - 𝐓𝐘𝐏𝐈𝐂𝐀𝐋.

there are, as he's come to learn, exceptions to every rule, of course. there are people he cares about beneath the icy and indifferent facade. his housemates, friends - some of them more family to him than his own bloody father at this point. for them, he cared. for them, there was a soft spot.

the book in his hands soon becomes UNINTERESTING. dark eyes scan above them, a questioned eyebrow curved in curiosity. a smirk dares form upon his mouth as a toneless greeting emerges,❝ ── beauxbatons, hmm? ❞ book closes shut, theodore adjusts his torso to be sitting more comfortably on the common room couch. ❝ well, that is if daphne and pansy's rumor mill is to be trusted ── but a broken clock is right twice a day. ❞ a light smile briefly appears on otherwise stoic features. ❝ good move. france is delightful. ❞ it had been, once upon a time, his favorite place on earth. a refuge from his father, a chance to be alone with his mother. though the cruelty of the world had other plans.

𝐀 𝐖𝐀𝐋𝐊𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐎𝐗𝐘𝐌𝐎𝐑𝐎𝐍, 𝐒𝐇𝐄 𝐈𝐒. insisting she hates this very school, though claiming ownership over its ongoings like a proud mum. though deep down, there's a longing to be here - summers spent anxiously awaiting a return. however pansy parkinson only parrots what she hears, ( if draco malfoy says the sky is pink - THE SKY IS PINK). if he hates this bloody school, she will too.

click clack, click clack, her shoes are heavy on the pavement. beady eyes, much like a snake, take in her surroundings, honing in on their new prey. AH ── YES, the new boy. she has yet to sink her teeth into him, fellow slytherin wearing the emerald tie to boot. draco had questioned where he came from, and pansy is determined to lure information and deliver it back to her master. eager to please, just to be in his good graces for minutes.

 ❝ you there ── new kid, ❞ she calls out. feigned confidence masks deeply rooted insecurities. pansy believes her own improvised self importance, because nothing makes her feel more valued than draco's approval, and she's on her way to getting it. a sickly sweet voice drips on her words, desperate to hide the true intentions behind her words. ❝ we haven't formally met, and we're housemates. us slytherins.. we stick together around here. i'm pansy parkinson. ❞ a finely manicured hand delicately snakes out to grasp the others in formal introduction. come on, come on... take the bait. ❝ what's your name? ❞

Accidental Declaration of Love starters
