This is a restore project. Bringing back the colors, removing the scratches and filling in the rail holes.

Start with light sanding on the scratches to smooth them out.

I used wood putty to fill in the rail holes using g a 2* putty knife. Let dry then sand down the putty to make a nice smooth finish.

Next repaint the graphic.

Red Cross Black Label John Lucero Large

Width: 9.525" Length: 33.25" Wheelbase: 15.375"

Used but incredible deck. This is a rider for me at the moment with Indy 159s and Black Label Blood Drop Wheels 64mm/94A. Love JL's company and his constant support of Skateboarding. Produced in 2002., this deck along with the other Red Cross decks received a cease-and-desist order from the American Red Cross. He subsequently changed the name to Red Kross and removed use of the actual graphic of the Red Cross with red color and changed to a white cross in his later decks.

Flip Lance Mountain Vato

Width: 9" Length: 33" Wheelbase: 15" Bought this deck to restore. It may be past it, but it will be fun to try. This restoration would only be to hang, not really safe to ride anymore, I don't think. We will see.

Krooked Mark Gonzales Faceoff

Width: 8.25". Length: 31.75". Wheelbase: 14.5".

I bought in this condition to restore the original graphic. Mark Gonzales art is contemporary and fun.

I restored the image on the bottom using Posca Paints. For the tail and nose, I completed sanded down to bare wood and spray painted to remove all the scratches and to ensure smoother coverage.

I included some during the process shots and the final image is the before and after shots.

Emergency Black Label Duane Peters Cursed

Width: 9.25" Length: 33.25" Wheelbase: 16" Condition is used but mostly surface scratches. May be restoring this one, but I actually like decks that are used. It shows more emotion and tells a story.

Black Label Econoline Mod Team Deck

Width: 8" Length: 31.25" Wheelbase: 14.25"

First picture is the original I purchased to restore. I took the deck down to bare wood and repainted the graphic. I included the progress pictures and steps along the way.

My high level steps: 1. Sand down deck to remove scratches and entire painted/screened surface image 2. Use Wood putty to fill in deep scratches and build up the razored tail. 3. Paint entire deck base layer of white 4. Mask off black squares and paint black, using cutout masks for letters 5. Mask off red squares and paint red, using cutout masks for letters 6. Mask created and used for the Black Label flame graphic

I had to do some touch up as I did not allow paint to dry long enough between layers, but in the end, this is now a fresh graphic on an older deck, ready to be skated again.

Bought this to restore the image. Heavily used and worn but will see how this turns out.

Emergency Black Label Duane Peters Jaks

Width: 9.5" Length: 32.75" Wheelbase: 16" I bought this deck used to restore the original image. I used Posca Paint pens and tried to recover the image back to the original as close as I could. In the posted pictures, the first image is where the deck graphic has been repainted. The second image is how I purchased it.
