Final Post

Throughout this school semester I have been asked to create this blog in the hopes that I will learn to appreciate the effort blog users put into creating these blogs and how some of them can be extremely helpful. And I have, some of the blogs that I searched for did indeed have the information that I required for the assignments that I were given. And in so doing learned ways to look for information that goes beyond Google, sources of information that are more trustworthy than those who were placed on Wikipedia. But this will be my last post because this blog was only meant to be a way to submit assignments, and I do not think that I will be able to summon the energy and time required to add any more posts. I will leave this blog here for a semester or two in the hopes that at least one student will look at my blog and see some information that will help them. But I highly recommend students looking on the UVU library site to search for articles, because I trust those more than anything on Google.

Article about minimum wage

When I first started my topic I was thinking that the minimum wage was too low, when I first started my pay was at nine dollars an hour and I was thinking to myself that seemed a little low and it should be considered to increase either the pay or increase the amount of hours we are able to work. Below is a link that explains where I have received my information and from it I was able to make an informed judgment of the situation. Although people want a fifteen dollar an hour paycheck I can agree with the article saying that it would be beneficial to the worker having and increased pay it seems much for someone such as a worker in a fast food chain where they are flipping burgers all day, but it is too much money for someone who does not do high profile jobs. I believe that some jobs should have and increased pay based on what they are doing such as  school workers for example but even though fast food workers work hard the amount of work involved requires little movement and little training. Exploring Work Community

Earlier today I read a post by micaelas12-blog and I read that if the economy was made weaker it would cause a situation that would elevate social problems and goal of this would be to redistribute wealth to the people. While I admire the end result of redistributing wealth to everyone to stabilize the economy I do not see how making the economy even worse now could lead to a future where it is better.
