Have any of you all rewritten a chapter of your fanfic like years after you published it? I've been toying around with rewriting the first chapter of one of my fics because it's never really sat right with me, but I'm curious to know if that's something others have done

Weird prompt: Pepper finally manages to convince Tony to go to a therapist because of... his whole life. After awhile, Tony starts talking about repressed feelings for his mentee. Once the therapist picked up on that, she began to notice a lot of similarities between Stark's mentee and her sweet, ever so helpful neighbor, Peter Parker.
It didn't take long before she concluded they were one in the same. Now how the hell can she ethically get the two men to realize they're both head over heels in love and truly are the best thing for each other?

Just a friendly neighborhood reminder that posting fic rec lists is what people really need in life to make them happy. 👀
If you need some inspiration; what's your favorite fic that...
...leaves you in tears?
...is the best Endgame fixit?
...is the best NWH fixit?
...is the best AU?
...makes you laugh the most?
...makes you need a fan to cool yourself down?
...makes you desperate for a sequel?
...is the most realistic/in character?
...is the best omegaverse?
...is the slowest of slow burns?

Not 100% Starker (the following sentiment can apply to all fandoms), but tagging it because I read almost exclusively Starker fics.
I was in the process of commenting on something, got halfway done typing it and then went to go delete it because it was silly and had no real substance to it.
Even now as I type this, I feel the urge to delete it.
But then I remembered how happy I feel when I get even the simplest of comments and I'm assuming most (if not all) creators are the same way.
My point is: if you enjoy some type of content, please never be afraid to leave a comment. That creator is going to love it no matter what.

Vampire Slayer AU
Peter Parker was Queen's resident vampire slayer.
Most of the time, it was pretty okay. He went to his cheerleading practice, he staked a few vamps around the graveyard, and he hung out with his besties in between. Steve and Bucky were inseparable, of course, and Wanda and her boyfriend Vis were doing their whole wican-witch thing which was pretty cool, and Strange - the vampire who was obsessed with him in like a byronic hero kind of way, weirdly - followed him around like a puppy any time he was outside of his apartment or school.
It was, well, an existence he supposed.
But his favorite part of the day was hanging out in the library with Mr. Stark. Stark was his Watcher (which sent a thrill through Peter like nothing else the first time the man had said it, making him think about all the things he could watch him do) and the gang's resident tech-and-occult expert. The man was like sex incarnate and Peter could not resist from flirting with him.
Innuendos made while bending over a library table to read out of an ancient text.
Cheerleading skirt riding a little too high on his thigh, showing off his spanx.
Pulling the older man closer than was necessary when danger turned their way.
Peter was obsessed. The rest of the gang didn't get it, insisted that Mr. Stark saw him as "just some kid" or even "you're like a son to him" but Peter saw the way Stark's eyes followed him. The dark want that shadowed his face whenever Peter did something particularly clever or flexible. How the man hid behind the library counter when Peter came in, dripping from his post-workout shower.
And if the teen was anything, it was ambitious and willing to go after what he wanted. And, oh, how he wanted his Watcher.

Is there a story out there that's post-Endgame where the ever-poised Pepper completely loses her shit on Peter (possibly at Tony's funeral) because she knows that Tony died to get Peter back? Extra points if later on Tony comes back and ends up picking Peter. 👀

I think about Starker every time I hear it, without fail ❤️
...
...
...
has anyone listen to the angry version of Taylor Swift's "illicit affairs" (from her Eras Tour live shows) and get some Starker vibes?
Especially this bridge:
And you wanna scream Don't call me "kid," don't call me "baby" Look at this godforsaken mess that you made me You showed me colors you know I can't see with anyone else Don't call me "kid," don't call me "baby" Look at this idiotic fool that you made me You taught me a secret language I can't speak with anyone else
Even if it's not the angry Eras Tour version, still same vibes.

And how Peter smooths out his hair in his reflection wanting to look good. And how disappointed he is about Tony not being there. I just love it 😆

I know we’ve all seen it, but just in case you forgot about the NBA ad… Canon that Tony likes Peter and thinks he’s fun. 🥹🖤

Tony is devastated losing Peter with the snap. He becomes obsessed with watching old suit footage and wondering what could have been if he had managed to save him. He knew that Peter had been head over heels for him, but Tony had wanted to wait. But then there was no longer anything to wait for.
A Peter from a parallel universe that no longer remembers who he is shows up at Tony's door, still raw himself from losing Tony who died from using the Infinity Stones. The two cling to one another in desperation, longing for the potential life that had been ruthlessly ripped from their fingers.
But then Scott shows up and a way to bring everyone back falls into Tony's lap. He knows he has to do it, and they win the war.
As the dust settles, Tony is faced with two Peters: the one that he mourned and longed for for so many years and the one he found himself making a life with.

Tony knew that he could never really have Peter. It wasn't in the cards. He knew he could never give Peter his heart, so he gives him the symbolic equivalent: his own section in his personal lab.

When Tony and Peter finally get together on Peter's 18th birthday, Peter reveals that he's been diabolically plotting that inevitability since their first meeting. Tony never stood a chance.
And now you're mine
It was all my design
'Cause I'm a mastermind
