Ya know, people say Ruin is on the Nexus route right now when he go on rampage crazy and murder every enemy he hates.

But I think that move is very much Sun-move.

Like the episode today, even when he is full of rage, he still talks very nicely with Charlie, putting aside the "You are child" thing. Really, it makes me very much déjà vu when back then, that is what exactly Sun yelled at Lunar.

And all the going alone, stay away from people, it just screams cold and calculated move, and not some desperate attempt (in terms of emotional levels)

And the purpose.

Nexus becomes vengeful because of his pride, that is because he wants to prove he is worth something. He wants to save Solar so badly, he throws everyone away just to chase his purpose. He ruined himself and in that process, he attempted to ruin everyone attracting him. His purpose purely was saving and getting twisted into whatever rampage murders he followed. He has no real purpose.

Ruin on the other hand, he has a purpose, revenge. And he only did that with people he set his mind on, unlike Nexus. He doesn't hurt Eclipse, or Charlie or Lefty or everyone wants to stop him in an aggressive way.

He doesn't self-destruct himself, he knows exactly what he is planning and what risk he takes. He just wants to kill the guys.

Even now in the same situation, (people losing trust in them, they got nothing to lose) Ruin and Nexus have different reactions.

Nexus lost himself. He gets rid of his purpose and snaps back at his family. He can and willingly work with the enemies because he has nothing else to hold.

Ruin. He can work with Creator for years, Nexus or Dark Sun, and his purpose is still unchanged.

I think deep down inside, every Eclipse is just Sun. The only difference between Ruin and Eclipse is that, while Eclipse holds Moon's memory (making him more of a Moon) then Ruin holds Sun morality (making him more of a Sun)
