No idea if bed sizes are universal so: a twin is very small, made for one person. A full is a little bigger than a twin, but not a big as a queen. Both can hold 2 people but it's easier in a queen. A king can easily hold two people plus a pet or child (or both lol), while a California King is ridiculously huge
(there are other bed polls coming! My explanation for asking is on one of them lol)
#Twin#I have a small room so nothing larger would work#I have just enough room for my bed and my dressers/storage with a couple foot wide walkway between the two#My bed is against the left wall while my dresser/storage and nightstand/fan is along the right ''wall''#(Wall in quotes since it has two large open windows into the living room that are covered in curtains for privacy.)#The length of the room is about as long as my bed is. Maybe a foot or two longer#I got the converted den when we moved into our apartment when I was 10 while my older brother got the second bedroom#I never complained or argued at all because it made sense that the older person got the bigger room to me#Unfortunately now I'm 27 and still living in the small bedroom#Despite my brother finally moving out a couple months ago when he got married and moved in with his wife#I just could never get used to his room's orientation being different to mine#I have taken over some parts of his room for storage though. My college gave the freshmen the old "beds" they had for the football players to lay down on 🤢 They had new slip covers and were fulls but they were by far the most uncomfortable slabs I've ever had the displeasure of sleeping on. I paid far too much for that privilege 😒
#I didn't stay in the dorms#For partly this reason#I lived only 20-ish miles from my college so like...#Why pay 10k+ for the ''luxury'' of dorm living?#My dad just drove me each day and it was fine#My older brother tried living in the dorms for his first year and was miserable#He moved back unofficially after the first semester and stayed home for the rest of college.#I didn't even bother trying
