Group 118 hang where they’re like at the Madney house. Everyone is there. Jee-yun is going through an “I want to be a doctor” phase. She’s making her Uncle Buck her intern (Hen taught her all the right terminology). Everyone is getting prescribed “Uncle Buck Kisses.” One for Hen’s knee. One for Maddie’s cheek. One for Chimney’s rebar scar (it exists in my heart). One for Karen’s pinky. One for Ravi’s elbow. One for new baby Han’s nose. And Buck is waiting patiently and nervously for Eddie’s. He wonders where Jee will make him press a quick kiss. It’s great, it’s like mistletoe, plausible deniability. But Jee just looks Eddie over and says, “all good! Discharge him!” And Buck is…disappointed…why is he disappointed? It’s a silly make believe game. And Eddie is…disappointed…why is he disappointed? Jee said he’s “all good”. Anyway, later in the car, Eddie will be saying that his head hurts a little and Buck will say, “ahh Jee must’ve missed that :)” and presses a kiss to Eddie’s temple. Yay!

Buck starts dating someone, doesn't matter who, and Tommy comes out of the woodwork to play weirdly determined matchmaker for buddie. in a sort of "i left you because you're in love with him how DARE you go date some other random person???? if you're not gonna be with Eddie what did i even break up with you for?"

give me an eddie who’s scared to come out to buck because he knows something will change. the same way buck was nervous about coming out to eddie. give me an eddie who tells hen and karen in a super chill, casual, blasé way. an eddie who tells athena and bobby (alive) first because who else would he go to? an eddie who tells maddie and chimney only when they catch him looking at buck Like That. and eddie who tells chris without fear because he knows he’ll love him no matter what. but an eddie who can’t tell buck. the same way he couldn’t tell buck he got the job offer in texas. an eddie who knows that being queer opens up a possibility he hasn’t let himself consider - and as long as buck doesn’t know, then as far as eddie’s concerned, the possibility still doesn’t exist. give me that eddie.
