THE HOLYWATER LOVE CONFESSION RAMBLE!!!

Okay so i literally made a post earlier today talking about their dynamic so i might repeat a few things:

Tr!Bad is immortal, to him nothing is forever because nearly everything is mortal. And Tr!Water found the person who is her Treasure, the thing that matters most to her.

The MOMENT Tr!Water fully confessed he just kinda froze and was like “oh…..” which to me means one of three things:

1. Tr!Bad has never actually had someone confess to him so he was so shocked that it actually happened he didn’t believe it and is still processing it. And by the way he screams after he walks her home kinda backs this up. (Nvm i now know this is false. I am not fully up to date with all the lore lol)

2. Because he’s immortal and never felt true love before, he doesn’t believe it can happen to him at all, does not believe someone could actually love him, and still doesn’t quite accept it because he knows it wont last forever. And im talking TRUE TRUEEEE love!

3. He felt a pit in his stomach and dread. Because he knows nothing is forever, and that everyone leaves (and that’s been proven true so far) so when he found out Tr!Water loves him he doesn’t want to accept it because he knows if he gets too attached then the pain when he loses her will be too hard to bare.

Their dynamic is so interesting to me. Like Tr!Water just confessed her love to him, the first person she has ever truly cared for, he is her TREASURE. It took so much for her to work up the courage to speak those words. And Tr!Bad doesn’t know how to process this fact, he’s JUST realised it was a DATE.

Either Tr!Bad has never had this happen to him for real, or this has happened before and the consequences were extremely bad for him. He doesn’t know what to do, he doesn’t know how to respond. He screams and runs away after. He doesn’t want the same thing to happen to Tr!Water as it did to previous partners.

AND NOW I CANT FIGURE OUT FOR WHICH REASON HKFKGKFKG

Im not fully up to date and am trying to get up to date with lore because i did miss a lot of it during my “i refuse to like anything even somewhat popular” phase when i was younger lmao.

I was at work during stream but was listening and while I am also happy about tr!Waterhalo interacting (I GOT MY WISH) I need to make something tr!Water said to tr!Bad suuper angsty:

Water pointed out that Bad, being an ethereal being, more than likely can just choose what he looks like, and while yes it was used as a joke about him portraying himself as a man, if we look at how he's most often portrayed: he's a shadowy figure with horns and a tail, very much resembling a demonic figure..but why?

It'd make some since when he was fallen if he was forced into a more demonic looking vessel..but he's redeemed, and if Water's statement holds some weight; why would he choose to continue looking demonic if he's holy? Is it because he views himself like this, not worthy of grace, or is it out of his hands?

Often times gods are the form their followers believe them to be, does that apply to angels? Is the reason he bares a demonic appearance is because enough people believe him to be evil with such conviction he appears as this to others? Does he maybe look different for each person individually? Is he just an ever changing canvas for people to project their own ideas of him onto? If so...how would Water's view of him be if she views him more positively than the rest?

miscommunication strikes again with tr!holywater because while tr!Bad is clearly capable of recognizing romantic intent in other people (him being an aimros truther from the beginning) he is incapable of comprehending that someone might have romantic interest in him (or love him at all, really, in any way). So when tr!Water asked him out on a date he was like “sure👍” without bothering to clarify what she meant because obviously his experience is entirely correct and there’s nothing to clarify. And he also has a thing where he acts first and seeks permission later (him asking aimros to join him and water and then asking water if she was okay with it after) apparently not realizing the pressure the other person might feel to agree???

MEANWHILE tr!Water does this thing where she doesn’t verbally communicate that she has a problem and instead goes “it’s fine. sure. you can do [whatever she doesn’t want Bad to do], that’s okay.” This obviously does not help tr!Bad understand that something is wrong and in fact does the opposite. He wants to help her, so he takes her at her word. Except that sometimes he shouldn’t, but he can’t tell the difference, and he’ll never, ever ask for clarification because what if she takes that as an insult?

Essentially tr!Bad didn’t realize the date was romantic and that tr!Water had very specific expectations, and he also didn’t bother to clarify those expectations. tr!Water also didn’t bother to clarify those expectations, and instead reassured him that everything was fine when it wasn’t. So now we have yet another situation where tr!Water is upset and tr!Bad is confused. How can two people be so simultaneously hopeless and also made for each other?

okay holywater, i love them, but their dynamics and their characters pasts make it so much more interesting

with Tr!BBH you have an immortal who is like a perception of death itself, a man who has lived for millennia, with only one other person who has lived alongside him all those years (foolish). a duo who have been together for so long, and now foolish has "forgot" him so Tr!Bad felt alone again, drinking because the one person who truly knows him, who was with him for so long, is gone. everyone left, he had hardly anyone left

yet then you have Tr!Water,a dragon who is currently in a human/dwarf body, especially since as a dragon she used to eat dwarves. a dragon who is possessive of her treasure (Tr!Bad) and does not want to share. she was alone for all those years she lived as a dragon, anyone who came to her sight want ed to hurt her, she never had anyone, nobody to call her treasure.

yet now Tr!Water has found Tr!BBH, someone she see's as her treasure, her first friend, the first person she actually cared about. yet he doesn't see it this way, or at least he doesn't understand or is playing it off.

in my mind Tr!BBH has learned not to get overly close to people because hen knows thewy are not forever, so its why he had such a strong alcoholic arc when Tr!Foolish forgot him, because the one person who was forever, was no longer there. Tr!Water seems to accept his relationship with Tr!foolish, having gathered on her own about their history, yet with everyone else (aka Tr!Lukey) she hates them because she also knows they are not forever unlike foolish.

she talks to foolish and calls him out on the prank because she cares for bad so much and understands why and how its hurting bad. water is smart, figuring out so much about bad on her own, even without proper confirmation. all because she cares about him, she takes him on a date because she loves him, yet while he calls it a date he's playing it of as nothing romantical or acting oblivious.

to me it seems like a man who is scared to love and plays it off because he is immortal and nobody he has is forever. and a woman who has found the first person she cares about in her whole existence and has picked up on his fears. with a dynamic of him trying to play everything off because he knows it will hurt more in the long run, and she's trying to help him because he is her treasure and her everything. and the funny thing is, she's a dragon, and if she can get back into her dragon body, while not forever, she will be there for so much longer than other mortals as dragons have extremely long lifespans.

Tr!BBH is so pulled away from having anything nice or permanent for him because its simply not possible in his eyes. yet in Tr!Water's eyes it is possible. two different pasts and two different outlooks now colliding in ways no mortal lives and thought can truly comprehend.
