it's crazy how much abbot we get in his first 3 minutes on screen. first thing we learn about him is he's suicidal. the first thing. the first shot of him on screen is him taking a drag of a metaphorical cigarette and being like "the horrors sent forth at the beckoning of god eclipse all ration and reason" and literally 15 seconds later the man is leaning over the edge and giggling "cant believe you guys are making me jump hahaha!!" then in the elevator down he looks like an einstein stunt double all of a sudden and is giving robby the run down on all the cases they have and he fucking ends it with "god help you all. good luck with that." that is a direct quote. he said those words. abbot and robby step off the elevator and a naked patient runs past him and he has the audacity to look surprised. he looks like who the fuck is that guy as if he didn't just admit and treat that man. abbot just blinks and is like "my circus and monkeys no longer, I forfeit my crown". eyes on the prize, he has to finish up his little tasks and lets his spine fuse into a parabolic arc as he's hunched over a computer and then he IMMEDIATELY tries to take mel's whimsy out back to put two between the eyes. TWO. not one, because one isn't enough. he needs two just in case whimsy escapes. and by god it does.

People constantly complaining about all the f/m ships is so funny because y'all really don't know how to deal with the fact that everyone isn't unanimously obsessing over the (white) mlm ships like you expected. Because that's usually how it goes, right? Those ships usually drown out everything else. They suck up all the oxygen in the room, all the attention, all the conversation. Bulldoze over all the other ships. But for once, that's not the case and that's because the show has a wide, diverse range of well-written, complex, amazing women that is getting our equal love and attention too. And we're not going to shove them, and their canonical relationships with the men, to the wayside just for the fanon mlm ship as is done way too often.

I feel like I need to repeat the canonical facts

Buck and Tommy broke up after dating for six months in episode 8x06 which aired on November 7, 2024.

During this break up, Tommy leaves Buck due to him not believing Buck actually likes him. And says “I’m your first not your last.”

Buck and Tommy have a drunken hook up in episode 8x11 which aired on March 20, 2025.

They explicitly do NOT get back together during this.

They argue about Buck living in Eddie’s house. They argue about Tommy viewing Eddie as competition for Buck’s affections and attention. Tommy scoffs at Buck stating that Eddie is straight.

Buck says, as his final parting line in the argument, “I don’t have to sleep with everyone I have feelings for. And I don’t have to have feelings for everyone I sleep with.”

Tommy storms out at this.

Tommy does bring his helicopter at Buck’s request in episode 8x15 which aired on April 17, 2025. Tommy implies he does still have feelings for Buck, Buck smiles at this but does NOT indicate he reciprocates.

EDIT: Buck also clarifies to Athena that Tommy is his EX BOYFRIEND

Tommy is shown watching Buck cry on the monitors, but is not shown comforting or speaking to Buck.

Tommy appears in episode 8x16, but he does not have any speaking lines.

Based on the above, which is the exact facts and not my editorializing, Buck and Tommy have been broken up since November and Buck does not want a relationship with Tommy. Tommy is also under the assumption Eddie is gay and that Buck will eventually end up (in some capacity) with Eddie if Eddie sticks around.
