ABOUT MY PORTRAYAL

my version of sonic the hedgehog is based heavily off several sources, the major ones being archie sonic, sonic adventure 1&2, sonic heroes, sonic forces, and sonic frontiers. i do treat all the events of the games as canon while combining them with some events of the archie sonic canon, both pre-sgw and post. no archie-universe family & backstory for sonic, but important events are taken into account as part of his experiences, just like important events of the games (meeting sally, saving amy, meeting shadow, etc.)

my sonic will probably be a bit more rude and mean than the current sonic canon; i really like how big of a bitch he is in archie LMAO but he's still going to have his heart underneath obviously. half the time he's not even trying to be mean, that's just kind of how he sounds! which doesn't mean he can't hurt people's feelings--he's just still not intending to in the same way canon-typical sonic rarely is intending to, too.

if a mun wants to have a pre-sgw interaction with my sonic, just let me know! otherwise, i'll keep stuff vague on that front and treat it as if sonic struggles to remember those events. for archie muses, we can decide in dms whether he is your muse's pre/post-sgw sonic or not. since my sonic isn't archie sonic 100%, he's still experiencing the events of the games, that's something i'd like to leave up to plotting conversations.

another important note: a plotted idea for my sonic's forces experience is that mecha sally was used to imprison him when she was deployed by eggman. i won't apply this widely w/ characters who have no affiliation with archie lore / have no , but it will be important for my sonic because his relationship with sally (@/dive2themellow) is really important to him (both platonic and romantic). eventually i'll get a rough timeline of differences for my sonic posted on here under a cut below ^_^

WAVE DOSSIER

NAME: wave SPECIES: swallow AGE: approx. 26 GENDER: genderfluid / lesbian (as gender yes) PRONOUNS: she/it, they/them works too SEXUALITY: lesbian ALLIANCES: the babylon rogues

Wave is a tech genius, competitive as hell, and and loves treasure. She's never met a piece of Extreme Gear she couldn't improve or make obsolete--Don't even bother trying to challenge that, either. You'll just look stupid. The Rogues are beyond lucky she's with them and loyal. Without Wave, they wouldn't be nearly as powerful, and with her they can mop the floor with anyone.

With the gang and by herself, Wave works as an engineer, mechanic, and thief, taking any job with a big score or promise of infamy. She has Jet and Storm's backs always, even if she often feels like the real leader of the Babylon Rogues; She'd never betray them. She will, however, take her own gigs and make her own way when she wants to.

— MAIN VERSES & TIMELINE (DEVIL MAY CRY)

cam: a rush. — set a year previous to and spanning until the end of devil may 3 / cam is a 19 year old devil hunter using a plethora of false identities to protect herself.

cam meets vergil while seeking a way to destroy the parasitic devil who killed her sister years ago…and who has been attached to her ever since.

cam: and a push. — spans cam’s life from age 20 to the year she turns 45 / by ~28 cam is going by her full name and building up regular clientele for her freelance devil hunting business.

cam has and loses her son within 8 months. for several years (age 20-24), she actively seeks out leads for what may have happened to him but is forced to accept, for her own well-being, that he was killed in the devil attack on the family who had taken him in.

at the age of 28, cam finally meets up with the last of her living family — her older brother who blames her for the deaths of their sister and parents. he tries to kill her and, even though he never had any aptitude for devil-hunting or fighting as she and her sister did, cam nearly lets him. in the end, she has to kill him instead and her devil evolves with her as she accepts that even though she must be alone in everything, she must carry the ones she loves with her, too.

cam’s abilities and her intelligence allow her to build up a wide-ranging clientele over the years. she is a rival to the big names, especially due to her devil summoning and dispelling knowledge, as well as her devil’s capacity for absorbing other demon abilities. she and dante have a friendly/bitchy rapport due to being competitors.

cam: and the land is ours. — set from the beginning of devil may cry 5 and onward / cam is a renowned devil hunter specializing in both dispelling demon summons and permanently killing arch-devils.

during the month between dante being defeated by urizen and nero returning to fight the devil, cam is called in to attempt to cull some of the hordes in redgrave city—and to save what civilians may still live, however few that may be. she meets v during this time, but is not told who he is.

after the events of devil may cry 5 and the eventual return of dante and vergil from hell, cam is eventually contacted about the events of the game. and informed of who is alive: not just vergil, but her son too. emotional turmoil and strange reunions ensue. for the first time, cam isn't alone and it seems like she might stay that way. it’s a lot to adjust to.

cam: Long Wait ...For Red Queen — sonic the hedgehog verse

cam grew up in isolation, born to G.U.N. defectors who hoped to continue their research without the government's oversight. project [REDACTED] ended in the deaths of both cam's parents and siblings, leaving her the sole survivor--who was found in the aftermath and collected due to the impacts of the disaster. all evidence was successively destroyed, and cam was documented officially as a prodigy espionage and combat trainee; originally given more expansive allowances due to good behavior (see: being a manipulated child-teen), cam infiltrated various organizations as an ear on the ground, and only began to resent G.U.N. once she realized that her abilities were being used only to benefit the same kinds of wrongs that her parents were working toward.

after turning 18, cam was forced to sign a contract now that G.U.N. could no longer claim status as her "guardians," but she began taking greater lengths to escape for periods of time and to find a way to destroy the powers her parents' research left her with. several years later, after a relationship that occurred during one of her long no-outside-contact missions, cam had to return to G.U.N. and faced complications--she had a son who gained the same abilities as her and nearly died because of them; Which left G.U.N. no choice but to confiscate him.

without any means to get him out (without more help from the outside) and escape the organization, cam continues to seek a way to de-power at least her son so she can someday free him, all while still working to maintain a reputation at G.U.N. so nothing will happen to him in the meantime--or her, hopefully.

cam: when the chips are down. — orpheus and eurydice / hadestown au.

approximately set some time after devil may cry 3 where cam, and dante, works to enter hell and retrieve vergil. depending on the rp, details may change as this verse is currently more vaguely formulated, but that’s the gist! more bad, doomed timelines for my special girl.

cam: transistor au — no special name atm, but this is an au based off the game transistor by supergiant games!

cam is killed and trapped within the transistor after intercepting an attack meant to drain vergil of his power. inside, cam has no real body but often makes phantom movements and feels phantom pain, sometimes enough so that she can visualize herself actually going through what is happening to her. this is because she knows that she is really dead, but so much time trapped eventually gives her more power over the digital world she inhabits.

after many years living in seclusion with her defector parents, cam is eventually taken in by the sixth house. ( cont tba ).

SCOURGE DOSSIER

NAME: evil sonic? anti-sonic? MY PORTRAYAL CANON

(written w flavor narration AKA mostly scourge's version of events; my version of scourge does not care about the idea of being "good," he's here to have fun and fuck around, like sonic minus the being a relatively good person. tldr; the events of archie sonic take place but aren't important to scourge as i'll be writing him other than him referencing his past. this version of scourge exists in the current sonic timeline, trapped in some kind of Chaos stream as he searches for a way to fully exist in the world of the current canon. he'll be hunting down Chaos Emeralds etc. to balance out his Chaos energy so he can be out 24/7 to play. otherwise, he'll be limited to some forms of communication and manifestation around the Emeralds and important personal bonds. it'll evolve more over time--i started this as a joke and now we're here.)

Scourge, then called Anti-Sonic, was born on Moebius (Anti-Mobius) and his life was normal. BORING!!!!! Normal and BORING!!! His dad was a loser, peacemaking type who wasn't really into the whole family thing but followed societal norms like a CHUMP. And world peace was sort of the whole deal on Moebius until Scourge was nearly an adult. He spent years TPing houses, egging cars, and shaking tiny Moebians upside down to get their lunch rings. Anything to cause a little chaos. Anything to make things interesting. The world around him was stuck in a freeze frame. He needed motion, movement--SPEED.

When Scourge turned 18, he didn't get shit for his birthday. Not a card, not a gift, not a little pat on the shoulder. So he said fuck it! His dad was losing public support as Moebius slowly fell into a rut and nobody would miss him. So Scourge killed him--Or says he did. You can believe what you want. Like Scourge cares.

Finally, he made his way to Mobius--you don't want all the details right? (Nosy, much?)--to beat up that loser Sonic. After doing that plenty of times, he tried to steal the Master Emerald but it sort of went weird. Now he's green and you better call him Scourge! More powerful than ever before and motivated beyond blue hedgehog comprehension, Scourge set out to take the place that should've always been his anyway! Who needs Sonic the Hedgehog?

When he went to show off his new digs, he got back with Fiona the Fox, who always appreciated his cool moves and sick looks way more than Sonic's. She and Scourge ditched the dumphead and went out to make Mobius worse than ever! AKA Fiona is so hot when she's being horrible, it kind of makes Scourge crazy (stupid) and he loves it.

Some weirdo scientist and Destructix later, Scourge went back to Moebius with Fiona to take that shit OVER!!! King Scourge always had a good fuckin' ring so he made it true, and Fiona was Queen. Their crew, the Suppression Squad, made Sonic's look like chumps and followed Scourge to take over Mobius, too!

Shit hit the fan, though--Scourge was ganged up on and eventually put in the equivalent of interdimensional prison. Kicked to the bottom of the barrel, he almost gave up on everything. Who could save him when he was already the strongest and had been got?

That's when sweet, kickass Fiona came to save the day. Scourge never thought he'd see her again, but she brought all the Destructix to break him out. He totally played it cool and knew he owed his hot babe in a serious way.

But that's when the whole universe started to crumble: Everything was rewritten from bottom to top and the destruction of it all split everybody up. Scourge, still wanted for his escape, was jumping through a ring to try and stick with Fiona, but was yanked back into the space between zones as he was erased, trapping him in an odd state of flux. Now that reality has been recreated, there isn't space for Scourge--But that doesn't mean he won't be carving any out.

He's got to find a way to bring his body into reality, whether through Chaos Emeralds, the source of his power the Master Emerald, or something different: There's no other way for him to get what he wants than for him to break into Sonic's new world and CRUSH IT.

RELATIONSHIPS

(also written in scourge flavor narration, will be edited as relationships change/are added)

Scourge totally stole Sonic's girl, Fiona. They met when Scourge was still blue and would sometimes impersonate Sonic to make the guy look as bad as the annoying idiot really is. But hey!!! Sparks flew, what can you do? Scourge isn't the settling down type, but luckily Fiona isn't either, and he's lucky to have her--Even if he can be pretty bad at showing that he gives a fuck. Scourge isn't a sweetheart, though, and Fiona knows it. He's sure of that. It's why they got together after all. If he can ever find her again, in whatever world is left for her to live in, if she's even alive in it, he'll be raining hell down on everyone who's ever fucked with them just to see her smirk.

ASH MONGOOSE DOSSIER

Ash Mongoose is a 20-something emo who loves three things: music, Mina Mongoose, and being a hater. He also loves skateboarding, but listing three things is cooler than listing four. To him. Ash works as the manager for Mina Mongoose and her band, the Forget Me Knots, and shreds his own tunes for a side project he’s cooking up. You’d think that’d pay the bills! But not really. Ash doesn’t know shit about contracts so he pretty much does the work pro bono. He just enjoys it. He has the Soundcloud app on his phone. You get it. So, to make ends meet, he works at Zoomiez in his local mall and the Kids FootRocker in Metal City, where he’s trying to work his way up to selling pro-EG. When he gets to pick the store playlist, you know he’s putting on the emo classics until someone complains and then he turns that shit up. Nobody tell him that Kellin Quinn made a song for Sonic; He’d be so pissed.

ash is an archie sonic character: he dates mina mongoose, has a one-sided rivalry with sonic, and that’s kind of it. so i’m giving him shit to do. knowledge and of the archie sonic comics is unnecessary because he’s just getting oc-ified.

i don’t have many icons for ash because he’s hardly in the comics, so unless i draw some more, i probably won’t be able to use too many TuT

ABOUT MY PORTRAYAL

I've written out a prose version of the backstory I'll be using for my Silver below! He has experienced the events of 06, but knows that the current version of both the past and the future cannot remember it / the events were erased. My version of Silver sometimes snaps quickly and he tends toward being lonely often, but he cares for his world, however distant it feels now, and his friends deeply--It's why he's always rushing ahead to save it and them again and again.

STORY

silver was born in the world’s future end: skies of fire rained over the debris of cities and the mobians remaining had to scavenge and fight for survival. fear and pain made people forget what things were like before — so much so that silver never knew a thing about it, or about the heroes who used to walk the same streets he hid in to stay safe at night. he never realized that the same desolate plains that rolled emptily beyond the city used to be green and full of life. but how could he?

loneliness and desperation spurred silver to push his abilities to their limits — tempted by a chance at changing his world by mephiles, he traveled back in time to find whoever triggered this awful fate to try and rewrite the past.

and it worked! or, the first time it seemed to. he made friends and learned the truth and when he returned to his world, it looked as he'd never seen it before: blue skies, rolling hills, and life buzzing in every corner, every tree and city full of people who never lived in the future he remembered.

but silver has seen that world, too, fall again and again.

every time he returns home, things are changed. and he is changed. but nothing lasts… each new foe or disaster that threatens the friends he's made in the past, silver's world is left devastated. is the future truly doomed to destruction despite his efforts?

he doesn't know, but silver doesn't know any other way to live. he has to hope that one day his world will be saved — or that another hero will find a way to do what he can't. after all, the future isn't what it used to be. is it even his home anymore?

ABOUT MY PORTRAYAL

My version of Blaze is mainly based off Sonic Rush and Sonic Rush Adventure, with references to 06 as well, depending on rp partner headcanons. I am caught up to IDW and enjoy the idea of her traveling Sonic's world / Mobius when she is not busy on her world.

Blaze is her world's Sonic: She is bound by her duty as a princess, but she learns that if she is to succeed in protecting her people, she also has to follow her heart. When she was young, she was isolated due to her position and pyrokinetic abilities, which only led her to struggle to branch out and rely on others over time. She still falters on this front sometimes, and she sometimes finds it difficult to trust in others--often she feels that she needs a hand in things to make sure they're done to the best they can be since she is so powerful.

Blaze is emotionally driven, however much she might try to deny and ignore the fact. There's a reason that Sonic is compared to the wind and Blaze is fire. Blaze has a temper that she has been working on for many years, but still flares (haha) often, especially when it comes to her home world being in danger or being taunted and teased. She knows now when people are only being friendly with her and has more experience with socializing since the events of Sonic Rush (aka she isn't going to constantly freak out meeting strangers, but she still isn't the most accustomed to interpersonal relationships. She's learning though! She's just pretty introverted still.)

ABOUT MY PORTRAYAL

My version of Amy takes inspiration mainly from Sonic CD (ofc), SA1, SA2, some of Sonic Forces, the IDW comics, as well as my headcanons. The events of the games are all canon for her, but I work to write her with a more grounded personality than we see in some of the games. Amy's foundation for life is love and sharing that with the people around her, whether they know her or not. She believes in everyone's ability to change and make their own path forward.

My Amy still has a crush on Sonic, is interested in the occult, and loves adventure! She just doesn't always have the chance to go after what she wants: Amy takes on responsibilities because she cares about people.
