lilia is glad he has fast reflexes when the girl comes crashing without warning into his arms — he manages some sort of not - as - graceful - as - usual wrapping her into a hug as he laughs, somewhat breathless. “ hello, darling little fuchsia blossom, ” he greets in turn, wide - eyed with mirthful surprise. 

“ my, you most certainly did surprise me. ” although he’s always quick to regain his composure, and he presses an affectionate kiss to her forehead. “ is there an occasion?? or did you just miss me?? ”

Her laughter when he kisses her is bright and delighted, popping like bubbles outside those red lips.  The ancient girl smiles with unrestrained delight, not letting him go — small hands hold on, refusing to let go this time.  There’s no apology in her eyes for the sudden appearance — Lilia is, after all, quite fond of her, and she knows he needs none.  But she reaches a hand to smooth his hair nonetheless.

“I just missed you!”  Pink eyes widen.  “And Silver and Malleus, of course.”  That poppy voice goes conspiratorial.  “But you most of all.  Sometimes I think you all came to an all - boy’s school just to get away from me.”  She pouts, all dramatics, but her eyes are still bright; she’s clearly only teasing.

im thinking in a sorta analogy to drac’s canon feelings of ‘i used to be a monster but i will never go back to what i was before’ that in twst verse for the first hundred or so years of her life she was like, pretty warlike and maybe even acted as a general for her father, but then experienced an epiphany that wait this is evil and i dont want to be evil, which started the whole ‘trapped by father and then finding new fathers’ plot.  anyway, she worries a lot abt accidentally regressing or Getting Bad Again so if she catches herself doing evil or acting cruel she gets rly nervous and cagey and anxious

drac doesnt have a canon height but in the show she hits like, the Shoulder of most of her female friends and barely hits the chest of most of her dude friends so suffice 2 say she is itty bitty

twst verse rundown :

laura’s born to a powerful and very old fae who often gets interpreted as a vampire by human lore mostly because he’s fucking genocidal.  laura keeps trying to get him to fucking lay off and as punishment she gets locked up and denied contact with the rest of the family or the outside world more broadly for a few hundred years.

eventually she starts actively sabotaging shit, her dad finds out, and one of the castle servants informs her that he plans to kill her.  laura literally hasn’t been out of the castle or SPOKEN to anyone outside the castle for like 300 years at this point, but she’s not going to fucking lay down and die.  she manages to overwhelm her dads magic long enough to get through, though is almost killed by the prick in the ensuing battle, primarily because just getting through the barrier cost so much mana that she’s like three spells from overblotting.

she flees to an uncle first — one dire crowley, in fact.  he says he’ll protect her, but it only takes a few years for lala — as she’s taken to calling herself — to realize that he’s completely useless.  after a close call involving an assassination attempt, she approaches her uncle lilia, who she’s grown close to again since her escape, and is basically like I’m Looking For A New Dad And Uncle Dire Sucks.  Wanna Give It A Shot.  he obviously agrees.

she liked juggling baby silver up until either lilia or malleus frantically informed her that if she dropped him he’d die

currently pops into nrc occasionally to say hi to lilia, silver, sebek and malleus.  acts like a bubbly teenager tho is obviously Not That
