Ardra Nakshatra "The Star of Destruction"
Tumblr media
Individuals born under Ardra Nakshatra embark on a unique karmic journey that highlights the significance of destruction and transformation. This Nakshatra is associated with the energy of change, motivating its natives to critically examine and dismantle outdated beliefs and habits. Through the process of unlearning, Ardra individuals create space for new ideas and perspectives to emerge. Their transformative essence signifies a continuous cycle of renewal, reflecting a commitment to breaking free from stagnation and embracing evolution.
The ability of Ardra natives to confront and dismantle barriers demonstrates a powerful inner strength. Much like a storm that clears away debris, they tackle obstacles with determination and clarity. By challenging outdated structures, they pave the way for innovation and creativity, often inspiring others to follow suit. This characteristic not only fuels their personal growth but also serves as a source of inspiration for those around them, making them catalysts for collective change in their communities.
Ultimately, the karmic lessons inherent in Ardra Nakshatra guide its natives toward profound self-discovery and empowerment. Their journey is marked by intensity, but this dynamism is essential for fostering positive transformation in both personal and societal contexts. By embracing their role as agents of change, Ardra individuals contribute to the larger narrative of growth, reminding society of the value found in adaptation and renewal. Through their experiences, they illustrate the importance of confronting challenges and emerging stronger on the other side.

The Color Green's (Ardra) influence on the 1st House
The color green has a profound impact on the first house of the astrological chart, which primarily represents personality, assertiveness, and overall temperament. Green embodies qualities such as balance and harmony, encouraging individuals to cultivate a sense of equilibrium in their lives. This color promotes a positive self-image, influencing how one perceives oneself and interacts with the external world. When individuals resonate with the energy of green, they often feel a strong need to be active and in motion, making them productive members of society who frequently engage in various social interactions and personal relationships.
Moreover, the connection between green and physical attributes, particularly the head, hair, and facial features, highlights how color psychology affects self-perception through the first house of the horoscope. A person who embraces the qualities of green may find that it enhances their physical vitality and well-being, potentially improving the way they present themselves. This relationship suggests that green not only influences emotional aspects but also enhances physical presence, reflecting health and wellness.
For many with green in the first house, incorporating this color into their daily surroundings, such as their environment or even their clothing, fosters a sense of freshness and renewal on an emotional level, reinforcing positive traits that shape how they navigate life. It is also worth noting that since green represents activity and movement, individuals influenced by it in the second house may tend to be more fit, in shape, or slender due to the excess energy they expend.
However, it is essential to recognize that green also carries some negative connotations, such as envy and greed. These traits can emerge when individuals with green in the second house struggle with self-esteem or confront feelings of inadequacy compared to others. While green promotes growth and prosperity, it can paradoxically lead to feelings of jealousy if one feels they do not measure up to their peers, especially since green is such a social and outgoing color. Additionally, green can impart a sense of inexperience; these individuals may sometimes appear naive or "clueless." Another potential downside of green lies in its association with fertility, as those with green influencing the first house may be more susceptible to having children if they are not careful.

the spoiled, self-centered, sharp-tongued, but soft-hearted revatis
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
gabrielle solis [eva longoria]: revati moon blair waldorf [leighton meester]: revati sun ko moon-young [seo ye-ji]: revati sun
these revati characters endured a particular hardship during their childhood resulting in a detached relationship with their mothers. in addition, their romantic relationships are put to the test throughout each of their respective series, but all come out strong in the end.
furthermore, they're notably referred to as fashion icons by viewers. despite their troubles, they're rich and confident, however they may use their usual charmingly sharp demeanor as a defense mechanism to combat moments of vulnerability. it makes their behavior come off as selfish and apathetic. however, once their shells are broken, they reveal their soft-hearted nature.

Uttara Phalguni: The Liberation of the Ancestors in Magha / Ancestor’s Dreams Come True
Tumblr media
Before we begin, here is my foundational grasp of the Ketu-Venus-Sun sequence in the fire rashis (Aries, Leo, Sagittarius).
Ketu is the void, the realm in which spirit(s) reside, the idea, the soil, the roots
Venus is the fertilizer, the stimulator, the inspirer which churns the hidden fires of Ketu, the seed (Venus represents seed) that is planted
Sun is the physical expression of that idea. It acts as a vessel for Ketu’s original hidden fires. It is the body that is born from the ideas & passionate churning of Ketu and Venus; it is the body that brings those ideas and passion to the material world to create something substantial & secure with that fiery creative energy and passion.
I feel like Magha is a realm from which our ancestor’s souls come from to reincarnate through Purva Phalguni & Uttara Phalguni (which is why I think of the Phalgunis as the physical aspect of creation and the Circle of Life).
Ketu is like soil, or the foundation for an idea. It acts like a portal that binds the material with the unseen; a portal from which spirits come from to travel to the material world (which is why I feel like Ashwini, Magha and Mula primarily deal with paranormal activity & ghosts. I knew one Mula who said he could see dead people. He even died & came back to life at a relatively young age)
Tumblr media
The actress from “Ghost Whisperer” has Mula moon
So…
If Magha is ruled by the Pitris, who are said to desire reincarnation through their bloodline (or similar bloodlines) to burn past life karma, and Purva Phalguni is procreation, while Uttara Phalguni is the soul ☀️ that is born and descends onto Earth…
Uttara Phalguni is the physical embodiment of Magha’s desire to flourish in the world of the ancestors. Uttara Phalguni is the life that is born (makes sense considering its opposing nakshatra & consort — Uttara Bhadrapada — is the final phase of death represented by the funeral cot) and brings the ancestor’s wishes into fruition. Uttara Phalguni’s basis from above is wealth inherited from family. This can look like certain talents, skills, wisdom or wealth being handed to the Uttara Phalguni to help them achieve some sort of goal to fulfill their ancestors. (Doja Cat, for example, stated several times that she doesn’t know her father — which shows the Pitru Dosha aspect of this nakshatra — yet a lot of people attribute her success to talent inherited from her father who was a dancer. Similarly, Sanaa Lathan is a successful actress whose father is Stan Lathan, a successful movie director).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Aryaman is said to help the souls of the deceased cross over into the afterlife (very similar to Pushan, which is interesting because Uttara Phalguni & Revati are the only nakshatras which share the same wish or desire). Perhaps, when the Uttara Phalguni helps bring the ancestors into fruition as a material vessel for their ancestors, they are actually helping their ancestors move on to their next life. Maybe the Uttara Phalguni is helping their ancestors heal in order to move on. Similarly to how Mereba in her “Black Truck” video falls into the realm of her ancestors, where one of them hands her a —key— to a car that her other ancestors built for her to move further in life and grow. And what did I say about the Sun-ruled nakshatras/rashi and driving cars (navigation)? This music video has a lot of parallels to the Lion King as well. Simba sees his reflection in the water and it is his father, Mufasa (an Uttara Ashadha who also voiced Luke Skywalker’s father!! — this matters a lot but I’ll save that for later). Then Mufasa comes from the heavens and reminds Simba to remember who he is (the King of the Circle of Life who must take his position within that role despite his fears. He is encouraging Simba to grow into himself fully. One of my first posts on Uttara Phalguni was about the parallels between the Lion King & Mereba’s Black Truck, actually). One more thing to take into consideration: Mereba’s Black Truck video begins with her resting deeply in a hammock. The hammock symbol of the Phalgunis is deliberately interpreted as a symbol for a “meditative state of mind.” From this meditation, she enters the realm of her ancestors. Aryaman is King of the Ancestors.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Maybe the Uttara Phalguni is destined to heal generational curses because they are the fruit that is healthy enough to bear the burdens of an entire lineage. Maybe they are functioning similarly to Aryaman by acting as vessels on Earth that aid the souls of the deceased into their next life through healing generational wounds. We can see this again in Star Wars with Uttara Phalguni sun Luke Skywalker healing his generational curses and eventually liberating his father, Darth Vader, from his own darkness. Then his father can “move on to the next life” so to speak.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Notice how when Darth Vader returns to his real self as Anakin, he tells Luke that he has already saved him. Luke’s destiny was never to save his father’s life in a physical sense, but in a spiritual sense so that he can aid his father into moving on into his next life and peacefully leaving Darth Vader behind. As Ive stated before, Krittika’s shakti to purify extends into the next two sun nakshatras, and on a general basis it does so like this:
Krittika purifies self
Uttara Phalguni purifies self + lineage
Uttara Ashadha purifies self + lineage + humanity at large
All three of these nakshatras are the “preservation of the soul” from darkness (I’ve gone over their “non sell-out” nature extensively in the past). The purification process of the Sun “saves” people from darkness. This is why sun nakshatra natives (Krittika especially as it is the Moon’s exaltation point) can be very protective over children because children are the purest expression of the soul. It’s also why Uttara Phalguni deals with childhood trauma (generational curses) and raising children the right way because they will one day become the world (Uttara Ashadha).
So, what does this mean for Magha nakshatra and the natives of this nakshatra who are actually governed by the Pitris themselves? The natives who are said to be The King themselves?
That’s going to be for another post as I believe Magha nakshatra has its own beauty and significance outside of Uttara Phalguni, but I did mention the connection between Ketu nakshatras and spirits manifesting from those nakshatras in order to birth some kind of material body through the Sun nakshatras (as each sun nakshatra is a bridge from a Fire rashi into an Earth rashi). Altogether, Ketu acts as a void which spirits enter the material plane from (as Ketu is similar to utter nothingness, so it acts like primal energy itself).
From Ashwini, spirits manifest in order to heal and regenerate physical bodies. From Magha, spirits manifest through lineages in order to purify karma. From Mula, spirits manifest to reveal illusions of the material world.
Also consider how Ashwini is Sun’s exaltation point & Magha is Sun’s mooltrikona point.
Sun is spirituality in a material sense, which leads us to conquering the illusions and darkness of the material world.
Ketu is complete detachment from the material world.
Both have the ability to purify and expose illusion in their own ways.

With everything that I know about Uttara Phalguni, I argue that this nakshatra is the “left hand path.” It is even said to rule the left hand itself sometimes. You will notice people calling the left hand path something similar to the path of the “divine feminine.” This makes complete sense as for a very long time I’ve personally been referring to Uttara Phalguni as “the woman herself” and “feminine excellence.”
Tumblr media
At the same time, from everything that I have studied in depth for a long time, this nakshatra also represents the path of man evolving towards self-mastery and increased levels of consciousness through self-discipline and restraint on their primal, sexual urges. The desire of this nakshatra is “May I be Lord of the Animals.” Men remain animals in a sense if they do not rise above their primal urge to reproduce through self-restraint and discipline (tapasya, which Aryaman has a close connection to as well — the Path of the Arya. Specifically through meditation though. The hammock symbol of this nakshatra is said to represent a “meditative state of mind”). This is why the women of this nakshatra seek to tame men or gain prosperity through them by taking control of their sexual urges (shakti: to gain wealth or prosperity through marriage or union).
This nakshatra represents the role which men & women fulfill in the Circle of Life. How to become a “real man” or a “real woman.” It’s the union of the sexes (marriage, which Aryaman rules, is not recognized as real unless it has been consummated. It is not the contract, which Aryaman also rules, that creates a marriage, but rather the committed sexual partnership between two people).
Ultimately, this nakshatra pays respects to the yoni as the ultimate source of creation (the beginning of the Circle of Life)
Tumblr media
That is why we see Uttara Phalguni natives like Kurt Cobain & Doja Cat honoring the power of the yoni through songs like “Moist V*gina” & “Wet V*gina”
We also must remember that Bharani is connected to the process of the Circle of Life, its symbol is the yoni, and it has the desire “May I be Lord of the Ancestors.” The god which rules Uttara Phalguni, Aryaman, is the King of the Ancestors himself.
Doja Cat has a song called “Agora Hills.” Aghora = Left Hand Path. She says “kissing and hope they caught us” in the song. This connects to the exhibionist factor of this nakshatra which we see more clearly through Claire Nakti’s survey on p*rnstars, which Uttara Phalguni women dominated. These women are often encouraged, or naturally feel inspired, to truly own the sexual aspect of the Circle of Life (hence, the bed symbolism). That’s why this nakshatra deals with being a “Late Bloomer” not just in a sexual sense but in a spiritual sense as well. It’s the initiation into adulthood (from the Child that is Leo/5H to the hardworking and responsible adult that is Virgo/6H) or “manhood” or “womanhood” which is typically not seen as complete until one awakens their sexuality. All of this connects to Adam and Eve being the first man and woman and them eating the fruit which enlightened them to their own sexual nature (fundamentally, they experienced their Kundalini awakening).
The natives often stand out from their peers in their youth because they have other lessons to learn and generational curses (Pitru Dosha) to break. The women may avoid men at all costs because they feel disgusted by men’s lustful behavior or they may take advantage of men’s lustfulness for their own prosperity and desires. They also stay away from men because they understand that they are portals for souls to enter Earth through and that because of this they are keys for men extending lineages through as well. They typically feel as though men are not worthy enough of this. That’s why right around the beginning of Ketu’s transit through Uttara Phalguni, the 4B movement and “women in male dominated fields” became a huge trend.
All of this I studied myself, aside from the survey done by Claire Nakti and the sutras by Vic DiCara. I aimed to understand the deeper meaning behind the symbolism and surveys, and I did it 🥰

Vedic Astro Observations - Some Nakshatra placements
Tumblr media
I set out to study the nakshatras from Scorpio to Pisces, from Anuradha to Revati. The focus was on planetary positions, transit effects, general traits, and some unique observations gathered along the way. Every detail was recorded carefully with an eye on well-known views to ensure a clear and deep understanding.
In the study of Uttara Bhadrapada, it was found that when Rahu is in this nakshatra, it brings together a strong desire for worldly success and a deep inner insight. People with this placement often try very extreme paths early in life. For example, they may chase fame or money with great energy. Over time, Saturn’s influence helps to keep these ambitions grounded and creates a balance. Many eventually become unique helpers in their communities. Their energy is light and flexible, allowing them to take on many roles, even though they remain hard to define. Rahu seems to encourage letting go of ego and illusion, turning these people into supporters of the common good. Occasional bursts of ego or a wish to escape may appear, but Saturn usually guides the energy into healing work.
Ketu in Uttara Bhadrapada appears to mark a soul nearing the end of its karmic journey. People with this placement show clear detachment and wisdom from a young age. They often feel complete on their own, much like a lone animal that thrives independently. This placement reduces the desire for material things and naturally leads to a simpler life focused on spiritual practices, meditation, or healing. Many seem to have natural talents in spiritual arts, and life events tend to push them toward roles as guides or teachers. A tendency to spend long periods alone, in nature or in quiet prayer, is common. Ultimately, Ketu in Uttara Bhadrapada means a life of closing old chapters, forgiving past wrongs, settling old debts, and passing on hard-earned wisdom to the next generation. The legacy left behind is a gentle mark of peace in the community.
The moving planets in Uttara Bhadrapada often bring feelings of resolution and healing. For example, when Saturn moves through this nakshatra, which happens about every 30 years, relief often follows hard times. This shift can help stabilize situations after a recession or bring peace after conflicts. It is seen as a time when the hard energy of the past is gently finished. In the same way, Jupiter moving through this area often sparks new spiritual insights and boosts efforts to help others, making generosity more common. When Rahu and Ketu transit this nakshatra, it signals the end of old ways and opens the door for more caring leadership. On many occasions, these periods have marked moments of closing old chapters, such as leaving a long-held job, settling old disputes, or paying off a big debt. Practices like meditation, therapy, and inner work have helped many let go of heavy burdens. An increase in intuition and meaningful dreams is often reported during these changes. These planetary shifts serve as chances to find deep peace and satisfaction for both individuals and society.
Uttara Bhadrapada is represented by a caring animal that stands for giving and tenderness. People born under this nakshatra often have a light and calm look. Even those who seem tough on the outside may hide a sensitive heart and a pure inner nature that shows up over time. Loyalty comes naturally to them, and they tend to be devoted friends and partners. Being the last of the 27 stars, many with this placement often take on roles as elders or mentors even when still young. They seem to have a knack for understanding who is genuine and for guiding others out of dark times. In this way, Uttara Bhadrapada is like a gentle rain that soothes dry land, bringing stability, care, and guidance to a world that has experienced many hardships.
Turning to Revati, which covers 16°40′ to 30°00′ in Pisces, this nakshatra is known as the Wealthy or the Nourisher. It is seen as the final stage of the journey and appears to be the most advanced of all. Revati is ruled by Mercury and has Pushan as its deity. Pushan is a protective figure who watches over travelers and souls. He stands for prosperity, safe travel, and spiritual care. Revati is shown by either a pair of fish or a drum. The fish represent fertility and the natural flow of life at the end of the Piscean phase, while the drum shows the passing of time and the joyful end of experiences.
People born under Revati are gentle, kind, and optimistic. They have a free spirit and are often very lucky because they are not too attached to material things. This lack of attachment seems to attract abundance in money, spiritual growth, or natural talent. Their relaxed, playful, and generous nature makes them easy to be around, and many allow life to take its course without worry. This often leads to dramatic changes such as rising from humble beginnings or even being born into good fortune.
Pushan, the deity of Revati, adds to these traits by giving a sense of protection and care. Those with Revati tend to be very protective, especially toward animals, children, or anyone vulnerable. A lasting care for family and friends is common, perhaps because lessons from earlier stages have been well absorbed. Even though there may be times when the company of others is missed, there is also a strong inner strength and self-reliance. This mix of being loving and social while also standing strong on one's own is one of the interesting qualities of Revati.
Creativity and music play a big role in Revati. With Mercury’s influence and the image of the drum, people of Revati have a good sense of rhythm and clear ways of expressing themselves. Many excel in music, dance, or poetry, and even those with a naturally cheerful personality seem creatively gifted. Their intuitive skills sometimes border on the psychic, with vivid dreams or a sense of having been here before showing a deep connection with what is to come. This quality brings natural hope and trust, helping them stay positive and find help when needed. Revati shows open minds, kindness, and a spirit that does not judge.
The positions of the planets in Revati reveal many influences that shape the people born under this nakshatra. With the Sun in Revati, warm, kind, and sometimes playful personalities tend to emerge. These individuals often do well in creative or helpful work, leading through kindness rather than force. They have a strong sense of who they are without being full of themselves. Many are drawn to work with children, animals, or the arts, naturally offering gentle support and setting a good example.
The Moon in Revati enhances qualities of care, imagination, and protection. Those with the Moon here tend to be very forgiving and seem naturally lucky. Their feelings are soft and nurturing, giving them an almost magical quality. Strong bonds with animals are common, and there is little fear of exploring the mysteries of life and death. The main challenge is learning to set good limits while still remaining open and kind.
Mercury in Revati makes for clear and friendly speech. People with this placement speak with humor and clarity, often becoming excellent storytellers, writers, or advisers. A love for language, poetry, and music is evident, and advice is given with good timing and understanding. Although focus can sometimes be a challenge because of the dreamy nature of Pisces, the insights offered are both helpful and inspiring.
Venus in Revati brings a loving, kind, and artistically gifted nature. Individuals with this placement are capable of deep, heartfelt love and may make significant sacrifices for those they care about. They often show a dreamy, free spirit that adds to their charm and sometimes brings unexpected wealth. Generosity is common, and love is shared openly with both animals and friends. Caution is needed at times to avoid overlooking faults in others.
Mars in Revati shows a balance between strong drive and gentleness. Those influenced by Mars work hard for causes they care about, especially for those who are less fortunate, and rarely come across as aggressive. Their energy is channeled into caring actions and works well in rescue efforts or other forms of support. Although passion for defending the vulnerable is strong, it is usually expressed in a calm and kind way, with a preference for working together rather than engaging in conflict.
Jupiter in Revati is one of the happiest influences. As the planet of wisdom and growth, it brings a thoughtful and generous outlook. Those with Jupiter in Revati often receive unexpected good fortune or timely help when needed. A mentor-like role is taken on naturally, and there is an enjoyment of travel and learning from different cultures. The view of the world remains broad and welcoming, though caution is sometimes needed to avoid giving too much of oneself.
Saturn in Revati teaches the skill of letting go and trusting the natural flow of life. Those with Saturn here may struggle at first with setting limits or might give too much of themselves, but with time wisdom grows. This patience eventually leads to a stable and secure life, with many finding fulfilling work in healing or helping others. Later years often resemble the calm of an elder sitting quietly by a river, having learned to close old chapters and start new ones.
Rahu in Revati adds a touch of imagination and unusual ideas. People with this placement often develop unique spiritual thoughts or find new ways to blend modern tools with their faith. Their caring nature grows even stronger, and they often participate in work or creative projects that attract admiration. There is a need to be careful, however, because a tendency to get lost in fantasies can appear. This influence is strong, but it is usually balanced by the natural positive energy of Revati.
Ketu in Revati is one of the strongest spiritual influences. It often shows a soul that has already settled many worldly desires in past lives. Those with this placement tend to show detachment and are drawn to spiritual or healing work from an early age. Their intuition, which sometimes seems nearly psychic, sets them apart. They usually live a simple life that values inner wisdom over praise from others. Many are seen to leave life with a deep sense of peace, suggesting that the journey toward freedom is nearly complete.
The transit effects in Revati are usually calm and helpful. When Jupiter moves through Revati, which happens every 12 years, a wave of optimism, financial relief, and a new focus on helping others often follows. Similarly, when Saturn moves through Revati, which occurs about every 30 years, it often marks the end of hard times and brings a period of recovery. This phase may lead to peace agreements or efforts to help the environment. Eclipses during these times signal the need to close old chapters, and many end bad habits or relationships while starting fresh beginnings. These periods have often proven to be good for forgiving old hurts, finding new spiritual ideas, and allowing creative projects to grow.
In final thoughts, Revati's energy is like a spiritual sunrise. It signals that the long, dark night is ending and a new day is near. The name Revati means wealthy or prosperous, and those born under this nakshatra often experience big changes in their fortunes. They may rise from humble beginnings or be blessed with abundance. Their appearance is often gentle and attractive, with a natural sense of timing that shows in every part of life, including art. Because Revati is linked to spiritual freedom, its influence brings a calm, old-soul feel mixed with a playful, almost saintly humor. In the end, Revati stands as a symbol of completion and contentment, showing all the lessons learned through the journey of the nakshatras and gently leading into the next cycle with care and wisdom.

the beauty of ardra 💧🌑
Tumblr media Tumblr media
💧margot robbie (ardra surya): upper photo
💧emilia clarke (ardra chandra): lower photo
🌑 the nakshatras of the nodes have a very distinctive appearance. the influence of the feminine rahu bestows ardra natives with the typical feminine features, such as delicate facial features, larger eyes, and a voluptuous body. the yin features of rahu gives natives a type of otherworldly and ethereal appearance, similar to that of saturn. this is because both planets are of the air element (for a better understanding of this go to my pushya nakshatra post). these natives typically have large and rounded eyes, dainty noses, and a lighter complexion (depending on the native’s ethnicity, i.e. if a rahuvian woman is of a darker complexion, she may have a slightly lighter complexion than her other non-rahuvian family members).
⭕️ let’s look at rahu’s most evolved state: the shatabisha nakshatra. this nakshatra is symbolized by the empty, yin circle. shatabisha is ruled by varuna, god of the rains, cosmic and terrestrial waters, sky and earth. in addition to the mystical healer, maya (illusion). the nature of shatabisha is also abundant in the other rahu-ruled vimshottari nakshatras (ardra and swati). this is because rahu is the utmost manifestation of the divine feminine. maya, being the embodiment of illusion, betows rahuvian individuals with the power of being an empty vessel for the divine collective; bending reality and transforming into the desires of others the native deems worthy. however, due to rahu’s rebellious nature, we see this powerful feminine force being steadfast and not easily influenced by others.
Tumblr media Tumblr media

🌧 ardra is the first rahu-ruled nakshatra. in order to better understand the nature of ardra, we need to take a step back and understand the previous nakshatra—mrigashira. mrigashira was the rejection of the garden of ignorance and the freedom to move on. in ardra, we see the process of forming the rational mind and free will. due to the intellectual nature of rudra, we see ardra natives preferring to study, understand, and learn about the physical world/plane. this often leads to a fascination with the physical plane and understanding the workings of everything that peaks their interest. with the mercurial energy of gemini (knowledge) and rahuvian influence of the vimshottari system (materialism and illusion), we can see the reasoning of ardra’s prevelance in dystopian, horror, and sci-fi films. this nakshatra’s fixation on understanding the world and finding freedom is the perfect combination for creating films with dark subject matter. rudra’s intentionally destructive nature also provides ardra natives with a niche ability to accumulate knowledge to understand the workings of the world and destroy what seems to not be fit. precisely how rudra represents the emotional release and purification that occurs after the storms of the plane or mind cease (more on this later!). this is similar to most character development in many horror/sci-fi films and the ever present devil/savior trope. if you’re interested in further looking into this dichotomy, i recommend “the exorcist” starring linda blair (ardra chandra), “bedazzled” staring elizabeth hurley (ardra lagna), and “supernatural” starring mark pellegrino (ardra lagna). this trope is also perfectly illustrated by lana del rey’s (ardra surya) music. in her earlier albums, “born to die”, “paradise”, and “ultraviolence”, the singer describes her natural love of the darker things in life (i.e. drugs, violence, guns). as her albums progress, we see her slowly become more aware of the dangers of her lifestyle and her slowly moving towards love and kindness instead—much like rudra’s symbolism of calming after the tumultuous storms of life. i highly recommend listening to her music to gain an understanding of ardra’s themes!

💧victoria beckham (adra lagna): right photo
🦮 ardra is heavily associated with animals. it is symbolized by the female dog yoni. this is indicative of ardra’s devotional, emotional, and knowledgeable nature. rudra is the ruler of this nakshatra. rudra desired to become “the lord of the animals”. this nakshatra also has the same animalistic dominion desire of uttara phalguni and revati. this is because the yonis of all three nakshatras are the female dog (ardra), female cow (uttara phalguni), and female elephant (revati). this may be indicative of the motherly, animalistic nature of all three nakshatras. this is also why all three nakshatras get along so well. the animalistic nature of ardra is why we see hundreds of ardra natives in animal prints, fur or leather, or animal symbolism via graphic tees or headbands; similar to the reoccurring cow print in uttara phalguni fashion!

🍀 another reoccuring style theme for ardra was the appreciation of 60s fashion, particularly the mod era of the 60s. time and time again, when doing my research for this post, i saw a multitude of ardra natives dress up/try to emulate 60s fashion. ardra natives such as ariana grande’s (ardra surya) 60s-inspired fashion in her most recent music videos (i.e. “34+35”) and chrissy tiegan’s (ardra lagna) multiple 60s themed events. i believe this behavior is due to rahu’s extreme prevalence in old hollywood and the 1960s’ modeling industry. for example, hedy lamarr (ardra lagna) was a prominent actress and inventor, jean shrimpton (swati surya) was an icon of swinging london and very popular model in the 60s, and pat cleveland (ardra surya) was a very well-known model who was the muse of every prominent fashion house in paris. i believe ardra natives try to emulate this era of fashion because of ardra’s appreciation of all things old and vintage, which appears to the nature of many of the rahuvian and ketuvian individuals. an additional thing to note is the prevalence of the color green in the ardra nakshatra. in hindu/vedic astrology, a particular type of color is dedicated to a certain nakshatra in which is lucky for the natives of the nakshatra to wear. green, being the color that symbolizes the fresh, succulent nature of rudra, is why the ardra natives shown above, vienna skye and ariana grande, are both wearing the color green. this also correlates to how many ardra natives have dyed their hair green shades or hues, i.e. gwen stefani (ardra chandra), nicole richie (ardra chandra), and rapper saweetie (ardra surya).

💧kaya scodelario (ardra chandra): upper photo
💧emma mackey (ardra chandra): lower photo
🎸 all nodal nakshatras tend to have a propensity for darker elements and themes in the media. this can be reflected in ardra’s love for grungy, smoky makeup; darker clothing; and vampy, vintage hair and fashion looks (much like the magha nakshatra). this darker aesthetic was also heavily popular in the 90s/2000s. most notably, lizzy caplan (ardra surya), who played janis ian in “mean girls”, her character was well known for her liking of punk subculture, heavy eye makeup, and band merchandise, a trait that was also common with the characters played by ardra natives: kaya scodelario (ardra chandra) in “skins” and emma mackey (ardra chandra) in “sex education”. this behavior is prevalent in the ketu and rahu natives because it reflects the smoky and tamasic nature of both shadow planets. by rejecting the more popular, mainstream trends for the purpose of embracing more expressive and alternative movements (such as grunge, punk, rock, alternative, etc.). this why we see the nodal nakshatras so prominent in those subculture musical genres (i.e. ardra natives kurt cobain of “nirvana” and jimmy page of “led zeppelin”).
as always, i am open to any constructive criticism! i tried to touch on both the appearance, fashion and nature of ardra and i hope i did well! this post took me forever to make and i truly tried to put so much effort into it! i just adore ardra’s emotional, purposefully destructive, raw and feminine energy its natives tend to reflect 🌩 if you are looking for more information about ardra, get to know the overrulers and supreme deities of rahu, durga (the goddess of power) and the serpent god, and mercury, vishnu (the maintainer) and narayana (the cosmic person)!! if any of my placements or information is incorrect please feel free to let me know! also, i am fully aware of the origins of vedic astrology and if i was in anyway disrespectful to hindu culture, i will take down this post immediately xx
* all of these placements were found using astrotheme/.com and/or astro-charts/.com. it is important to note that some chandra (moon) placements may be off by up to 6 degrees and lagnas (risings) as well, due to the fact that many websites do not have a 100% accurate birth time for the given celebrities.
* i take no credit for the invention of vedic astrology-based appearance profiles. please watch claire nakti on youtube or look into @/cn0bles, @/lovejustlied, @/dh4nishta, and @/vanillemercure on twitter for more in-depth analysis on vedic astrology xx

Arudha Lagna: How To Find It - Part 3 -Signs' Battle and Shortcuts
Tumblr media
The Signs' Strength Identification Procedure
Now, you have found out your case does not correspond to any of the previous conditions in Part 2 and Part 1: you need to check which sign is stronger than the other. Here are the rules with the same example (Scorpio Lagna) as before:
If Mars is in Scorpio or Aries, e.g, in its own sign, but not Ketu, then, Mars gets stronger.
But! 😱 If nor Mars, neither Ketu does not respect the above mentioned condition, and Mars is conjoined Jupiter and/or Mercury, then, Mars gets stronger than Ketu.
But!! 😱😱 If your case does not apply above again, then, check the signs: dual signs are stronger than the fixed signs which are stronger than the moveable signs. Ketu in Leo (fixed sign) becomes stronger than Mars in Libra (moveable sign).
But!!! 😱😱😱 If Mars and Ketu sit in the same category of sign, let's say, Mars sits in Libra while Ketu sits in Cancer. Libra and Cancer are both moveable signs. What to do? Well.....
I don't know. 😐️
The Shortcuts
I am far from being an extraordinary expert in astrology. I consider myself as an eternal student. Knowledge in astrology is so vast it is beyond our imagination. However, I can still give you a hint if you arrived to this last step without a clear answer, or, if it is just still confusing in your mind and you want a shortcut. You can download Jagannatha Hora software for free, on windows. You go to "Preferences", then "Related to Calculations", after that, you click on "Arudha Pada Calculation Options", then you choose "Use exceptions in bhava arudha padas" and "Use exceptions in graha arudha padas". Finally, you tick "Use Rahu and Ketu when stronger". And the software will find what planet is stronger than another, that is to say, if Ketu gets stronger than Mars in this example: it will directly show you the "right" Arudha Lagna. Or, you can download "Jyotish App" on your phone: you go to "Settings", then you click "Arudha Options", you select "Based on Rashi", you tick "Use exceptions in Bhava Arudha calculations" as well as "Consider Rahu and Ketu as lords of Kumbha and Vrishchika when they are stronger than Saturn and Mars". This app follows Dr B.V Raman's method here, so you can not go wrong.
Why Do All These Exceptions Matter?
You might wonder, why one has to follow all these tedious exceptions and conditions. Some astrologers just do not use most of the conditions mentioned above. For example, some will not apply the house placement exceptions, such as Lagna Lord being in the 1st house, then the arudha lagna will go to the 10th, instead, they will just use the 1st house as the Arudha Lagna. They all have their reasons that I respect. As for me, I would rather like to use Sanjay Rath Ji's view with all these exceptions because it respects the Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra's text and I trust his translation. I use the "Treatise on Jaimini Sutras" by Somanatha regarding the evaluation on the strength of planets and signs as it seems clearer to me. I might change my mind in the future but I stick to this method until now. This is just my choice. I encourage everyone to research on their own and form their own opinion through their experience. So, please, do, and let’s share what we find together.

Arudha Lagna: How To Find It - Part 2 - Scorpio and Aquarius Controversy
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Controversial Exceptions: Scorpio and Aquarius
Scorpio Lagna and Aquarius Lagna are the most controversial and confusing exceptions. Why? Because Scorpio and Aquarius are actually given TWO rulers: the traditional ruler (Mars for Scorpio, Saturn for Aquarius) and the co-ruler (Ketu for Scorpio, Rahu for Aquarius). It remains unclear because of the way it is written down in the Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra (BPHS), one of the most prestigious books in the Jyotish tradition. We became so stupid that we now need to read things literally to understand them: this is the Kali Yuga effect, our brains are shrinking over time. Therefore, according to BPHS, Ketu is suggested to be the co-ruler of Scorpio while Rahu is suggested to be the co-ruler of Aquarius. So, if we follow this tradition, what Lagna Lord shall we use for Scorpio and Aquarius Lagnas? The answer is we have to determine the strength of both the traditional ruler and the co-ruler. Ex: if your Lagna Lord is in Scorpio, and Ketu is stronger than your natal Mars, then, you have to count the houses away from the Lagna to Ketu, not to Mars. But a new question is now being raised: how to know which planet is stronger here?
The Planetary Strength Identification Procedure
Now, you want to know what planet is stronger than another. Let's use an example directly: your Lagna is in Scorpio.
Look if Mars and Ketu are conjoined with other planets. If Mars is alone, but Ketu is conjoined to another planet, then, Ketu becomes the stronger planet.
But! 😱 If both Mars and Ketu are conjoined by planets, count the number of planets conjoined to them: if Ketu has more planets conjoined to it than Mars, then, Ketu becomes the stronger planet.
But!! 😱 😱 If the number of conjoined planets is equal, look if one of these conjoined planets is exalted. Mars is in Libra conjoined Saturn: Saturn gets exalted in Libra, but there's no exalted planets with Ketu as Ketu is in Leo here, then, Mars becomes stronger than Ketu.
But!!! 😱😱😱 If there is no exalted planet among the conjoined planets, or worse, you have the equal amount of exalted planets with both Mars and Ketu, then, look for an aspect from Venus (because here, Venus owns Libra where Mars is sitting in our example) and the Sun as the Sun rules Leo where Ketu sits; as well as an aspect from Jupiter, and/or Mercury. If Venus aspects Mars in Libra, but there is no aspect to Ketu, then, Mars gets stronger.
But!!!! 😱😱😱😱 If there is an equal amount of these above mentioned aspects or no such aspects, no choice, you will have to identify which SIGN is stronger than the other. In Part 3, you will find how to determine signs' strengths.

Arudha Lagna: How To Find It - Part 1
Tumblr media
The Arudha Lagna allows you to know how the world looks at you. It is the image that is totally made up by the Maya, the illusory world we live in. But how to find it? Indeed, it is not a simple question. Astrologers do not agree with each other on how to calculate it as they do not interpret the traditional texts the same. It is quite confusing, so let's sort it out… As much as I can at least. This post will be divided into three parts.
The Calculation Method Without The Exceptions
There is a way of calculating the Arudha Lagna that all astrologers will agree on. This is the method that excludes some astrological placements. Maybe you belong to these lucky ones whose Arudha Lagna will be accepted by all astrologers.
Here is the way to calculate it:
Identify your Lagna/Ascendant and your Ascendant/Lagna Lord.
Count how many houses away it is placed from Lagna to the Lagna Lord.
Then, count the same from Lagna Lord and you find your Arudha Lagna.
Ex: Take your D1 chart (usual birthchart). Your lagna is in Cancer. Your Lagna Lord is consequently the Moon. The Moon is in the 5th house. There are 5 houses between your Lagna and your Lagna Lord. So, you count 5 from the Moon and you find your Arudha Lagna there, in the 9th house.
The Usual Exceptions: House Placements
Most astrologers agree on this type of exceptions. This kind of exceptions deal with these Lagna Lords' house placements: Lagna Lord in 1st house, Lagna Lord in 4th house, Lagna Lord in 7th house, Lagna Lord in 10th house. If your Lagna Lord is placed in one of these houses from your Lagna, then, you should apply these rules:
If your Lagna Lord is in your 1st house: then, your Arudha Lagna becomes your 10th house.
If your Lagna Lord is in the 4th house: then, your Arudha Lagna remains in the 4th house.
If your Lagna Lord is in the 7th house: then, your Arudha Lagna becomes your 10th house.
If your Lagna Lord is in your 10th house: then, your Arudha Lagna will become your 4th house.
In Part 2, you will find out about the controversial Scorpio and Aquarius rising signs... Stay tuned.

Some notes on Shatabhisha 🔮🗒️
Tumblr media
Shatabhisha -the 24th nakshatra. Ruled by Rahu contained writhin Aquarius rashi. The yoni animal is a female horse. The symbol is 1000 stars. The diety is Varuna.
Here are some observations I made about them from my perspective. This can apply to Sun, Moon, Ascendant, or Atmakaraka in Shatabhisha. Honorable mention Ketu in Shatabhisha.
Tumblr media
These natives are tall. Especially men with this Nakshatra will be very tall, lanky build.
⌦ Similar to the other Rahu Nakshatras like Ardra and Swati, Shatabhisha has piercing eyes. No matter the color, these natives have an intense gaze that instantly melts people. It is common they have a shocking eye color, that seems electric. Like shocking green or blue eyes.
⌦ They tend to look famous. Something about them is unique and distinguished, yet highly attractive. They naturally have that “it” factor. They look cartoonishly good, like a anime character.
⌦ Now one thing I’ve noticed is these natives behave a lot like how the name “Shatabhisha” sounds. It sounds like you’re saying “shadow”.
⌦ They can be involved with shady things like with their career or on personal life. There’s a lot people don’t know about them. The tend to disappear a lot.
⌦ Their facial features also create a lot of shadows on their face. Like defined brow bones, angled nose, hooded eyes etc.
Tumblr media
⌦ The men especially tend to be very athletic. They have very active childhoods, being involved in sports, Boy Scouts, extracurricular activities etc. they can be very physically strong.
⌦ In physical activities they have the ability to move very fast. Like a lightning bolt across the field or court.
⌦ They usually are the orchestrator or the maestro of things. Group leader, team leader, the facilitator. They do well in groups, or teams being instrumental to the functional goals of that group. Even being the “hidden” power of that group.
⌦ They prefer to have some sort of social power other people don’t have, then allocate it accordingly to how they see fit.
⌦ It’s likely for them to be involved in some sort or official group, but one that has secrecy to it. Like a secret society, fraternity, sorority, “Illuminati” etc.
⌦ They are good at hiding things and keeping secrets. They seem to know a lot of things, but never reveal their sources for anything. The type to be a secret genius.
Tumblr media
⌦ A lot of them have some type of addiction at some point in their lives. They conceal their addictions well though.
⌦ It’s common that they have academically accomplished parents. They could work in the academic field/higher education. Or I’ve seen they have parents who are self made entrepreneurs, or have a family business. Some are nepo babies but mostly for Shatabhisha Ascendant.
⌦ In their early childhood they could be left alone a lot for one reason or another. Their parents were traveling often or always working. They could’ve had their material needs met but been somewhat isolated.
⌦ They can be confusing people. Like they say one thing, then have different behavior. Or their actions can be questionable. Or you have to decode things they say, or they say stuff that has double meanings. They always leave a big question mark in people minds.
⌦ They can struggle to relate to people around them but they know how to appeal to people overall. This is why they make good celebs. They can sell an image, be viral or trending, have a relatable “reputation”. But their actual personality in 1 on 1 dynamics are harder to connect with.
⌦ They are funny and know how to make people laugh. They have funny/clever one liners.

Vedic Astro Observations
Tumblr media
Your 3rd house also shows your writing. If you write curse words to anyone or for yourself then your 3rd house will start getting negative.
When you leave responsibilities, don't fulfill or give your task to others your Sun will start working negatively.
Your 2nd house is also the house of speech of you give curse words to anyone. Then your 2nd house will start working negatively.
If in your 2nd house You have Rahu or Jupiter then never speak curse words for anyone as it'll get to them and comes back to you double. It works with everything you say to them. Not restricted to curse words.
Tumblr media
People having Mercury in 4th house are good with house management skills.
If you have Virgo mercury in your chart then you'll be great at handling accounts & money.
2nd lord in 11th house is an amazing yoga to have immense wealth.
Your 9th house shows your higher education, Luck, travel & Religion. If you have Ketu in 9th house then you may not believe in god or religion but once you do you'll be into spiritualism.
If you have ketu in your 10th or connected to Capricorn then you need to work on your hobbies as Ketu will detach you from your work. You'll get a job then break then job then break will happen.
If you have Jupiter + ketu then what you say will come true same as above so only speak good and well.
