[ Snagging an expressions drawing sheet to make some new icons for Altra and stuff. I'm just happy the redesign is done.

[ Properly repping Team Skull now, and still having a few flairs from his original outfit! ]

"Oh, I heard people will line a cake layer with frosting THEN put jam inside the center to make sure it doesn't ooze out. We could do that and have both?" He smiled as he spoke up, oh he was really hungry now! sure, he wasn't huge on sweets. BUT.. this was a celebration right?

Of course sweets were expected in times like this!

"Exactly! Lady's still awesome as heck.. and big. But I think that'll be a really good tribute to your Championship!" Oh he was loving this idea more and more!

"They make huuugeee rounds of cakes too. Shouldn't be hard to find one large enough foe whatcha want."

“We can make a huge circle cake, yeah! An’ then we can make it like — three, maybe four layers? And have jam in the middle… or frosting…. Or both…”

Talking about cake is making them hungry. Ree bounces their knee a little, tapping their toes.

“Pickip is my ace too. I know people assume it’s Lady, but Pickip is my first partner. He’s important to the team, an’ the reason I won.”

"Hmm.." He pondered a bit, but then Ree brought up the medal.

"Oohh.. That's a really good idea! Can make a circle cake and pipe on the same design that's engraved! Cause yeah, Pickip really brought that victory in with that Z-Move!" He still remembered watching the whole ordeal. He was still pretty unknowledgeable about battling then.

But.. he'd gotten a LOT better now. Still, that final blow with Pickip remained really fresh in his head. And something his own Zorua, Albert, still raved on about.

"That'll work really well I think! Not too crazy, but still a huge symbol of your victory!"

“A Pokémon shaped cake, huh… I think makin’ a togekiss or a Flygon cake or a giant gengar cake might be hard, even for me.”

Still. It’s definitely a thought! Ree tilts their head, thinking about the idea a little more deeply.

“You know, I have this thing. Somebody made it for me. It’s a gold medal an’ it’s got Pickip engraved on it, when he was doin’ his z-move in the final battle. It was pretty cool. Maybe a cake like that…?”

"Yeah! That's huge for Team Skull too!" He of course couldn't help but laugh right along with Ree. The enthusiasm was endearing and contagious! Altra seemed a bit more relaxed as well, mostly cause he was with a good friend, but he was happy to see how much more relax Ree also felt.

He was happy for them, more than anything.

"What about.. a Pokémon Shaped cake? Like shaped after the members of your team? that'd be a great way to get them involved with the party too. I think."

“Yeah! It’s a milestone. I’m the second ever alolan champ, an’ I’m the first skull who ever got this far. You’re right. I deserve a party.”

They laugh a little, nose scrunching just a bit as they do. Ree looks a lot more relaxed nowadays. Feels a lot more relaxed, too.

“I could make a cake. I could make ten cakes. I could make four tens of cake.”

"That's a long time. Well.. Since it's your first year, that means it's basically a milestone right?" Altra shrugged.

"Sooo.. worthy of a party I think? Then you can throw 'em every other few years as you hold the title?" At least that sounded like a good idea in his head. Then again, when has someone from a Team ever held a champion title like this too?

He thought it was cool as heck.

"That sounds like fun, not gonna lie. How long do Champions normally last?"

“I mean, it depends on how long ya can keep the title. It don’t look like we’re gonna have any challengers to the league title this year, so I ain’t worried about losing… I think Satoshi was champ for four or five years, maybe? And, uh, my girlfriends dad has been champion like eighty seven years or something like that.”

He looks a little confused.

"You.. can make cakes in mugs?" It seemed bewildering to him, but if that was possible.. maybe he could try sometime.

Of course, he's just watching her go about it. Those bright eyes taking in every motion.

"Are.. they safe for even Pokémon to eat?"

  It's been a very long day... the kind that simply begs to be remedied by a little treat. Rooting around in her cupboards, she calls out to anyone in the safehouse that could hear her.

"I'm making a mug cake. Would anyone else like one?"

He is.. trying really.. really hard not to laugh right now. Yes.. he's got a phone, but can only use it cause of the gloves his 'Dad' made for him..

But he is still doing his best not to bust out in hysterical cackling at watching a grown adult melt down in a video his friend sent him.
