It's utterly hilarious to me that in TOS Spock was like "I have to go to Vulcan, please don't ask why Jim, bit I will die if I don't go within the week" and only told Jim about the Pon Farr when he was already climbing the walls and acted like he was betraying Vulcan state secrets, while 100 years later the Voyager crew is all "have you heard, Ensign Vorik from engineering is having his first Pon Farr" - "no way!" and when Tuvok gets it it's "so I've heard you have the 😏flu😏 have fun on the holodeck"

And honestly I wonder how many Vulcans in Starfleet had to suffer before the high council admitted "yeah maybe we can't keep this top secret longterm"
