A woman who rejects her own sacred prostitute may spend a whole life seeing her faith and sexuality in opposition. She may struggle with her body. She may see any beautification of her body, any drop of perfume as her being a "harlot" or a "temptress". Unfortunately, the result is often that such a woman will relate to men as either sons or fathers.
When this happens, it is not uncommon that sexuality will become absent in the relationship.
If the woman unconsciously sees her partner as a father or a son, unless there is another complex present, she will reject being penetrated by him (both psychologically and physically).
Also, lack of conscious awareness of the lover archetype within her, may lead woman to be extremely indiscriminating in sexual relationships, as she desperately seeks the masculine vitality to fertilise the feminine eros within her. She may exploit her own sexuality, use it for egoistic purposes or any other activity that may affect her and those around her negatively.
A woman who is conscious of this part of her, may not necessarily be outwardly sexual, but she is comfortable with this part of her and it is often felt in her sensuality, the lightness of being, inspiration, laughter, humour and everything else that develops with this psychic integration

Women who are sexually promiscuous, lacking an emotional tie or even harboring a deep resentment toward their partner, are unrelated to their essential feminine nature. That is precisely the situation which feeds the negative animus. The animus is as negative in the inner life of such a woman as are her views of men in her outer life. He turns a cruel face toward her, undercutting her every move. The more adamantly she believes that men are her enemies, the less she is able to realize that the enemy is within herself. There is no ritual preparation, such as the above dreamer experienced, no welcome reception of the mysterious Other. Likewise, women who experience sexual anxieties have never fully experienced the breakthrough, the penetration, of the masculine. Such woman remain, as it were, like the girl in the fairy tale, living in the emotional impoverishment of the father's house. Their fears of the phallic beast prevent them from experiencing love and its transforming effects, not only on themselves but on their partners. The inner animus remains in an undeveloped state, forever a frog, never recognized as the prince it could become. The positive stranger animus enables a woman to focus on and to discern the attributes and beauty of her feminine nature. He guides her into the conscious realization of her femininity. She then has the ability to make choices that do not compromise it. Just as the sacred prostitute went out into the world when the ritual was completed, prepared to enter marriage as a person fully aware of her capacity, so the modern woman who has integrated her animus is prepared for life." - "The Sacred Prostitute", Nancy Qualls - Corbett

Long ago, The Virgin Priestess was a leader of the community, and she belonged fully to herself.
She was a whore and also “whole.” Both of these things were seen in high regard. She was married to the community, and she governed through her advanced site. She was a Holy Whore.
As a whore, or a priestess who utilizes sexuality for healing purposes, she was educated in Sexual rites, and she would perform lovemaking in rituals to bless the lands or to heal men wounded in war.
The word whore originates from ‘Horus’ the god of the sun, there used to be the women of Horus, the same with the ladies of the rose or Mary Magdalenes, who would open, awaken and initiate people into the higher inner realms associated with the sun at their temples thru tantra
In Greece the Horae were Aphrodite’s celestial nymphs, who performed the Dances of the Hours, acted as midwives to the Gods and inspired earthly Horae (harlot priestesses) to train men in Sexual Mysteries.
The dance the hora was based on the priestesses’ imitation of the zodiacal circling of “hours”. Time-keeping is known as horology because of the systems devised by these ancient priestesses of the Goddess.
The Vestal Virgins serving in the temples of Vesta and Hestia in Greece and Rome were originally harlot-priestesses. The temples of Aphrodite at Eryx, Corinth and Cyprus were served by a thousand sacred harlots apiece.
Whore: A woman who experiences her sexuality outside of the realms defined by men and the predominant attitude of society. In other words, whore can be defined as a woman who defines herself.

Do not run from life's initiations. Be that mature woman--and accept your journey. Do not waste your life (force) energy hanging your head in defeat or despair, comparing and contrasting, or wishing things were different for you. As a darker-pigmented woman, as a Black woman, I have always known that my incarnation came with a great set of obstacles, an initiation I graciously accepted early-on. I deeply adore every new step, every quiet difficulty, every intimacy, every new narrative, every next level mastered. This lifetime —and all of the obstacles, discomforts, hardships, trauma, heartbreak, and diagnoses that we get to unravel and move beyond —are gifts! Those who have experienced some of the greatest oppression always have the highest magic and power to remember and retrieve back. It's really good news if you accept your life experiences as initiations and don't run from them or stay stuck in your obsessions, addictions and other conditioned coping patterns. -India Ame'ye, Author
Loved Ones, you know there are levels to this game of life. The next level is when you start to realize that there is no better or worse, greater or less. You are the oppressor and the oppressed. You have to begin to see how the oppressor lives in your body. You are the lover and beloved. You have to begin to see how your future beloved lives in your body. Everything is within us all, even when it’s difficult or comfortable. Mainly what we are carrying forward are the stories and judgments we hold onto that give value metrics and assign meaning and combined, they influence our future creations in usually undesirable ways. We have to unwind, unbind, and peel back a lot of the cultural and intergenerational patterns we internalized about what it means to be who we are based on the stories of powerless we have been through sold and told. That's a more advanced teaching lesson around "neutrality" though for the real players :). -India

The Venusian and Ketuvian Bridge: Raw to Refined
The planetary order of nakshatras is one that unravels from embryonic into incarnation. Though we start traditionally with Ketu, it all starts and ends with Mercury. The thought and consciousness. Then traverses into the life force and brunt of karmic baggage into Ketu and all at once is spilled into the fertility of the Venusian womb and out into the consciousness of Sun, and into the subconscious of moon, and so forth. Before we become realized we are to be completely raw and unrefined and then refined into complete embodiment. This is where the brunt of Ketu and Venusian energy is stored.
Ketu is our deepest instinct and ties to our past selves, to our etheric and heavenly selves. This is the most untouched and unbridled energy. Ketu is deeply unconscious and focused on the meditative state of formation. The stillness before consciousness is fully given. The body without a head. The involuntary twitch as you nod into sleep, the pull of motivation when you’re bored. The need to step back and take in when you’re too involved and immersed. Taking time to only put together the most authentic parts of yourself. This is where energy is the most chaotic and dispersed as well as the most internally contained. It’s paradoxical in that regard and that’s why Ketu energy is considered to be the most raw. The most unrefined part of our energy. The part that is so lived in and comfortable it becomes a natural instinct without conscious thought. Ketu is deeply connected, to the roots of humanity. Our primal virility and our connection to “something bigger” at play. Ketu allows, first and foremost. It is passive and receptive, yet it’s brooding and detached. It allows the external to pass by untouched or unscathed as their bodies move through the world without connecting to the physical fully. This can feel like you’re walking in a bubble, your feet are touching the ground but you’re floating regardless. Much like the first stages of conception. This is where we see Ashwini, Magha and Mula nakshatras arc play out so beautifully. Ashwini is the unconscious part of creation. The part that is so transcendent and far from the body that it can become obsessed with self realization and embodiment. But it’s still raw and untouched, brunt and forceful it charges into the world with an unbridled and confident stride. This energy is possibly the most crystallized part of Ketu. As it’s just the seed. Magha is the embodiment of conception itself. The pouring of lineage and ancestry into the seed. The act of coitus and the expression of passion and merging into the other. The most praised nakshatra is Magha. Being that of bloodline and pedigree as well as the mid point of Ketu energy. They’re very connective and connected. Both to their past and the present as well as the optimism of future expression. Magha is about the self realization from others. Having been influenced and heavily sheltered in Ashlesha we pour into Maghas self liberation and severing of the purity and containment of the mother. Completely indulging the the self and fully embodying the self without being touched by influence. And rather, becoming influence itself. From here we are finalized into Mula. The most detached from influence of outside and external attachment. Mula is fully embodied and this can be seen as daunting as Ketu is all about severing and detaching from the world and it’s illusion. This can be scary when most of the world is comforted and immersed in the 3D illusion. We often lie to ourselves in order to cope with the harshness of reality. Mula is the destruction of that self delusion and is the most cutting and rooted nakshatra. They are also the most influential themselves in that regard. Because they are so far from the world itself they can run into feeling very deeply isolated. But they are the most liberated and free from the worlds grasp and structure. They are the truest to their roots and most primal selves. They can also feel the most disconnected from source because of this. The energy they have is almost like a vacuous loop. The internal is void like and transcendental, the external only feeds the detachment or causes them to fully indulge into their abysmal depths. They’re soul divers and can reach the bottom of themselves as well as others and this can be terrifying. But it is necessary to go into the darkest caves to find the most beautiful gems.
From here we jump into the refinement of Venus. Going back to Ashwini and being the most brash and self conscious we lead into Bharani. The celestial womb, the passage of the unconscious and rawest material into the embodied and crystallized form. Bharani is fertility and the bridge of the past self and past life into the present self and present life. The refinement we see is that of self actualization as well as self awareness. They also are fully aware that life alone is life half realized. The other whether a partner or friend or soul tie is the most connective and inspiring force to live a soulful life. That without the resurgence of passion and life force through connection, there is no other way to be fully oneself. You cannot sharpen a blade without a whetstone, you cannot mine a diamond without a hand. You cannot create without a muse. You cannot create a true living life without an egg and sperm. Bharani is self realization through the other. From here we lead into the most romantic and relational Purva Phalguni. After Maghas bloodline, connection and procreation, we have purva phalgunis pleasure and enjoyment of refining and indulging in the senses. Of fully partaking in the partner and enjoying another through merging. Venus is all about taking the energy given and creating something harmonious and at its highest potential crystallized and refined. Purva Phalguni is the blooming garden after the rain. The creative knot between Magha and Purva Phalguni is unmatched and deep. Purva Phalguni is all about the sensorial opus and creating everything around them into synchronized harmony. Purva Phalguni is also one of the fiercest nakshatras for this reason. The beautiful has to go through the most intense pressure in order to be a pleasure, which seeps into Purva Phalgunis tie to bondage or BDSM. Going through the absolute most severe sensations to reach the highest elation, they are concerned with the entire sphere of what pleasure is. They are deeply critical and will only indulge in the best of their work. They pay no mind and have no interest in what is not authentic or truly harmonious. They’re deeply tied to the harvest much like tropical Virgo, Purva phalguni is the abundant harvest and enjoying one’s rewards after the hardest work. Creating the dream and entering into it. From here we go into the final and highest octave of Venusian refinement and enter Purvashada. After we see Mulas ultimate liberation and individualization from illusion, Purva ashada is the master of overcoming and triumphing over what is disingenuous. Much like after you reap the harvest you must pick through all of what you’ve gathered and choose only what is the best and of the highest quality. Purvashada is often seen as biting and severe because of how deeply engrained the need for ultimate refinement is. They will only take what has been tested after Mulas cutting and severing nature, Purvashada is the pressure and the ultimate reveal of what is best. This standard can be daunting and cause quite a stir in others as they can be incredibly penetrating and mirror like in this. Their internal standard is intimidating and hard to overcome. They tend to focus solely on creating their best and doing their best in everything they do. They’re not ones to accept just anything. They do expect this in those around them as well. Partnership is important to them but they will not settle for any less than what is their idea of best. From Bahranis innate need for devotion and purva Phalgunis self actulization through relation, Purvashada is mostly focused on the self refinement and being a standard or muse as well as the artist. Creating reality as an extension of their internal kiln.
Both ketu and Venus are bridges into the next. But being the precursor to the rest of the celestial drama we unfold from the unconscious into the refined. From the idea into the reality. Taking what is raw and unfiltered and making it beautiful and harmonious. This is much like life itself. From a mere thought or passion into living breathing life. The refinement of energy is a dance between the dead and living.

Jupiter rules the sweet flavor, while Venus contrasts this by ruling the sour. So, the danger is never in worship of any feminine form, but in neglect, disrespect, avoidance, or projecting of fear onto that form.
Kali’s gentleness is in that she targets your soft spot and destroys your self-importance, and quickly frees your ego from it.
Kali will always force you through difficult situations to prioritize your self development, but around luxurious Goddesses, you will have to have the grip on yourself to do that. It is through discipline and adversity that we obtain all ability to enjoy ourselves and become truly liberated.
When we are immersed in luxury and comfortable circumstances it is all too easy to become enslaved through pleasure if a person lacks internal purity.
That is why the Goddesses are all ultimately different expressions of one major Goddess, because no part of her nature can be demonized or rejected.
Each piece of her plays a crucial role in the great churning of Maya, the game of creation; each part of her has both a reward and a test, and in this way her divided forms are either Dante’s 9 hells for a man prone to self-betrayal, or a journey through heaven for the one rooted to his own power.

Ketu: The ROOT of Femininity
”So I came back to the world yet once again as the priestess of the Great Goddess, bringing with me the memory of forgotten arts, one of which is the art of  being a woman. I came because I was sent. There was that needed which I had to give. They did not send in a priestess of the Bright Isis, but of the Dark and Veiled One, because that was the need; and They said to me: ‘You will have tiger teeth, for you will be a Breaker in Pieces. Men will call you the Priestess of All Evil, but you know better.’” -Dion Fortune.
The purest expression of femininity in its most raw and terrifying sense is found in Mula Nakshatra (the lunar mansion from 0° - 13° 20’ Sagittarius), ruled by the Goddess, Nritti. The spiritual power (Shakti) of this nakshatra is to destroy and uproot. Anything that is rooted firmly in the truth cannot be destroyed, as truth is immortal and unchanging (which is why #Ketu reveals the Universal, objective truth, just as #Rahu [as Maya] conceals the truth & creates illusions of relativity & subjectivity). ... In the Devi Mahatmaya, a demon arises who the Gods cannot defeat, as he acquired his power from Shiva (The Great Giver— the Ultimate Masculine), and asked that no man could ever conquer him. The Gods then combine their energies and produce the Goddess Chandi & through seduction he meets his defeat at the hands of a beautiful woman. The underlying message of the story alludes to the mystery that it is the Goddess alone who is capable of destroying the impure ego and granting victory. The ultimate destruction comes from the feminine force, seemingly gentle & weak externally but with the natural ability to cause a kind of “implosion”, where one destroys *themselves* (ultimate destruction) through failure to respond correctly to the sexual feminine force. (That which submits, rules; the lowest valley ["the spirit of the valley... the mysterious feminine" according to the Tao Te Ching] conquers all; which is also how Ketu's stillness & unchanging truth conquers with passivity, alluding to why he holds the flag of a conquerer. This is also why a Shakti bija of Ketu is Strim, which is the Stri, or woman, bija).
It is through her destructive power alone that all the evil, error, and impurity in the world are truly exposed and then removed. Without the “fierce” side of the Goddess working naturally through all women, the world would become full of waste. In this way, we should understand that to suppress this heated & transformative female sexuality and the power of the #Goddess in any way is the gateway to impurity (despite dualistic minds who project & blame their own chaotic and uncontrolled response to the female body on the woman herself) and, through letting female sexuality flood the world, it is purified absolutely and transformed into a paradise where the strongest prevail.

When you increase your sensitivity and return to being a deeply feeling woman (person) again, you have to mind your energy even more. When you travel, you can't sleep at everyone's house without specific physical and energetic provisions being met, because soon you will feel the density and become drained. You can't always eat what everyone else is eating without certain physical and energetic provisions in harmony because soon you will feel the density and become drained which can turn into exhaustion, mental confusion, and even immune disregulation, injury, and illness. You have to be on point and aware that you ARE sensitive (which is incredibly gorgeous), that you were divined or chose to return to being a deeply feeling person. You must know that you can deeply feel, and many people can't and you will always be more affected by density than they "appear" to be in the short run. People who lack a great sense of feeling and the accompanying self-awareness do not realize that they have been waved with dense energy for years until it becomes a medical diagnosis, you see. A deeply feeling woman will feel the small incremental build up of density faster than others and usually has more space to work it into harmony before it becomes serious unless she starts to ignore and numb herself. This is good news, but you do have to know your range and be INCREDIBLY confident about that because the world will challenge you to be more numb and "normal." When your sensitivity elevates, it's lovely to participate in what everyone else is doing— enjoying life and having a damn good time, but you also must know how to take care of yourself to release the energy that you will naturally not only accumulate like everyone else will, but the difference IS that you will also be able to FEEL it faster and deeper. One way I tend to my energy ongoingly is to beautify my ori/head/crown with a scarf or the tiniest piece of fabric or beads I bless or pray over. I do not board a plane or go into tight public spaces like an airport without something anointing my head. I share other ways I tend to the garden of my energy in my new work. Because when a sensitive person (whether the sensitivity was divine-given or self-cultivated) doesn't tend to our energy, our sensitivity turns into shadow, and expresses in more harmful than elevating, feeding o our fears rather than our desires. Deep feeling is the key code to clear precise intuition and otherworldly knowing that helps you to see blind spots or what is beneath the surface. When feeling returns to your body in a visceral highly advanced healthy way, your life naturally changes. Your quality of health and attraction increase, your orgasmic range increases, and your life transforms, but this also comes with great responsibility. It's incredibly beautiful and ascending to increase your sensitivity but it's also a practice of mindfulness to live it out well. Energetic hygiene is essential and overtime it becomes second nature. -India Ame'ye

Kali and the patriarchal fears via Medium
The goddess of death and what she represnts for the patriarchal society by Shweta Taneja
🔻 She’s not likeable. Hell, she’s scary. In Hindu mythology, she’s nature— something that causes death and destruction, something that’s wild and raging, something that’s unpredictable and uncontrollable.
Her hair are wild and open (mark of undomesticated woman or someone who doesn’t belong to a husband-ry), she dances naked outside. Both being naked and being outside is something that is forbidden to the female gender in our society.
🔻 You wouldn’t invite her into your homes (unlike the more demure Lakshmi, goddess of wealth or Saraswati, goddess of knowledge). She’s wild, frantic, out of control. She’s nature in its more fearful, horrific form, an earthquake, a hurricane, a tsunami. Her world is the one where a dog butchers another and all of them perish.
No wonder the patriarchal society, the cultured society, the rule based, control-based society, you and me, tremble at the very thought of her. You see, the patriarchal society is all about control — through rules, rituals, and routines. Do this, and you will get this. Do this and this and you can prevent death and disease from happening to you. If there’s a death in a neighbour’s house, don’t go there, for you might catch that disease.
If there’s a garbage-collector coming near you, step away, even though he takes your own garbage. Don’t touch him as he touches something filthy and you will become filthy too. Oh, your left hand is by default filthy. It wipes your bum after all!
Both genders are mired in rules, rituals and routines in this society — all in an effort to control life, prosper and save oneself from death. A man should control his estate and his woman, a woman should control her body and keep herself inside the house, under her husband. Both should stick to the codified laws of dharma created by some rishis a few thousand years ago. People most probably too stuck up to let their hair down.
Since she’s uncontrollable and fearful, like everything else, she’s associated with tantrics, who all mainstream Hindus see as charlatans, black magicians or simply people who are evil or threaten the codes of the patriarchal society. Like Bhairava (Both Kali and Bhairava feature in one of the most beautiful stories I have written in my upcoming graphic novel The Skull Rosary) she’s a goddess who belongs to the fringes of the society. She and her worshippers are associated with blood sacrifice, sometimes even human sacrifice.
She’s the patron of thugs and witches—both of whom threaten the society’s status quo. Patriarchal society intellectuals have alternatively looked at her ugly form (by societal standards) as filthy, fearful or downright disgusting. That’s the reason you would not see rich merchants in Calcutta or Gujarat worshipping her. She’s of the night, meant for those who roam about the shamshaan in the night. She’s death itself.
If you worship her, you are either crazy or inconceivably evil. You are definitely not a well-wisher of the society. You are an outsider. Her image is the opposite to the mainstream, civilized society. She distrupts society. Personally, she inspires me and pushes me to write.
She is the destruction and inspiration of creative energies itself and my heart beats in tandava with every step she takes. And so she inspires me to create destructive stuff. I am scared but I also bow down to her creative juices, sometimes leaking blood.

People are generally highly attracted to Ashlesha people’s personalities and can easily become good friends with them. This is due to the binding, snake-like nature of Ashlesha that makes others feel deeply connected to them on an interpersonal level in a manipulative or non-manipulative way. It is hard to break bonds with Ashlesha people as well as they have a strong hold on the people they meet. Unfortunately, this means that when a friend of a non-Ashlesha person deals with that friend becoming friends with an Ashlesha person, they easily leave the non-Ashlesha person out and connect with the Ashlesha person more as they have a stronger pull towards the Ashlesha person. I’ve seen this pattern where Pushya women or more innocent/naive people are in friendships or relationships with people and those people leave them out or gradually distance themselves from the Pushya person to connect more with an Ashlesha individual. In a common theme of Ashlesha and Pushya, people are generally more comfortable talking to these individuals about their personal lives as well as they feel a sense of the comfort that comes from the nurturing side of Cancer.
