The fear of Death runs prominent through Adem, so too that the understanding that Death will come for them one day. For some, it comes faster than others. By people other than the grim reaper, with a mind so cruel they believe those below are nothing but insects, worms, it can be in the most brutal of ways.

Would your father be proud of you? To see everything that you’ve done? Sinking your teeth deep into flesh, defiling a cadaver, chewing, digesting, becoming whole with all those that have suffered by your hand? Your father, a man so terrified of the concept of breathing no life, being proud of you? You consider him proud?

Your father cries at every funeral, not like your average man. Your father is more woman than man. He doesn’t hide anything. He’s open with your mother, even though your mother tries to hide her hatred for him and the situation your grandparents put her in. You are the product of a loveless marriage. It’s evident, I’m afraid.

Now I pose this question to you; how would your father react if your crimes were exposed, bleeding, bloody, and bruised to the limelight of social media or the detectives? Would he run? No words can express what emotions people have towards you. You are a butterfly in a universe of worms. Or maybe it’s the other way around? A worm in the world of butterflies? ˗ˏˋ{🕯️}ˎˊ˗ Adem, the town where dreams and fantasies alike go to die. It’s an eccentric hellhole, crawling with all sorts of characters. From lonely codependents, psychotic catholics and babyfaced best friends, to a strangely high pharmacist and his ‘daughter’ ditched outside. Nothing feels right, and you’re desperate for answers. Spoiled Rotten is set roughly in 2017.

˗ˏˋ{🕯️}ˎˊ˗ The player ends up as ‘Mainoko Kei’, the stereotypical bombshell blonde who is wealthy and isn’t afraid to show it. Born on Halloween of 2000. She is also part of the ‘popular kids’, in which are feared by the general population of Adem’s educational system, in which they are all in. Mainoko, however, as confident as she is, doesn’t have a sense of belonging, and has a lingering sense of curiosity about her roots. She craves answers to questions, and it doesn’t help that there’s a feeling of eyes everywhere, following her every move.
