The world is exhausting... extremely exhausting, and were it not for Allāh's compassion, we would have been ruined.

For a lot of us, our biggest test in life is that of patience. Being patient in the face of calamity. Being patient in loss. Being patient in delays. Being patient with family. Being patient with the believers. Being patient with the decree of Allah. Being patient with oneself.

The hardest part about practicing Islam isn't prayer or fasting or hijab, it's perfecting your character, it's trying not to speak ill of someone, it's controlling your anger, it's making sure you aren't accidentally hurting someone.

Imagine you're standing before someone you deeply respect, given the rare opportunity to speak privately and ask anything you want. But instead, you're distracted by your phone and your surroundings, and your time with them slips away. Wouldn't you feel ashamed?

This is what we do to Allah when we are in Salah, allowing worldly distractions to take over. We should feel ashamed!

My favorite moments are those when I realize, with quiet gratitude, that some things were never meant to be. The kind of moments that make me think, "I'm glad it never worked out," because now, with clarity, I can finally see the why.

The du'as you make are not forgotten by Allah. Sometimes you make a du'a, and you forget that you made it. And then time goes by and when you least expect it, Allah shows you the answer to that du'a. Allah grants it to you in the most beautiful way, at the most perfect time. So don't worry. Just because you can't see the answer right now, doesn't mean it's not on it's way to you. Sometimes Allah accepts a du'a there and then, but you won't see the result of it straight away. It could be accepted right away but for a specific time. We just never know. That's why you should never give up on your du'as. Never give up hope in Allah's mercy. You just don't know when His mercy will descend. So keep knocking on His door until He opens it for you. Because eventually He will. 🤍

Glory be to Him who placed tranquility in entrusting one's affairs to Him, and made in His remembrance the dissipation of worries. ♡
