I know I haven’t been that active here
but that’s because I’ve essentially “moved”
I have depression and have been going around and around on weird things and places, nor is my home life spectacular.
I am at a different blog now! And it’s Transformers themed!
IDK How many people would want/be interested in re-following me there but hmu if you want it.

Y’know at this point in life I think I might just stop watching a show if a blue female character appears because 2 out of 4 times said character gets away with being a shitty asshole and yet everyone loves them and acts like it was okay.
But hey, thank you Transformers for actually having those two blue ladies who I can trust and love. Bless Arcee and Strongarm.

I suppose I’d better put my two cents in.
I feel like it’s the wrong time to introduce a female Doctor.
I’m not against it, I just DO NOT TRUST THE TEAM TO HANDLE IT RIGHT AND NOT RUIN IT.
They’ve consistently given us badly written female characters, like Rose and Clara, and when a great one, Bill, shows up she’s gone after one season. Then immediately a female Doctor.
It feels uncomfortably like now they have a free pass to continue writing bad female characters because “Oh but the Doctors female now aren’t you happy?? Oh you’re just butthurt because he’s not male anymore”.
I may be wrong and they may do it right.
But I just do NOT trust the current Who-team to make it work.
Time will tell if this feeling is wrong.

Honestly the implication that Pink Diamond might have been done in by another Diamond and Rose was framed/took the blame doesn’t entirely sit well with me.
Like sure, it sure is a spin but all this time we’ve been shown that Rose was not the absolute paragon of purity the other gems sold her as, and after the episode with Bismuth, that just because she didn’t want to commit mass murder did NOT mean she got through a rebellion spanning centuries with her hands clean
Suddenly going WOOP MAYBE SHE -WAS- INNOCENT ALL ALONG kind of feels like back-pedaling, you know?
#really? they're backpeddling on shit now too?#why she gotta be innocent now? can't fight a rebellion and have clean hands#Jasper stay in your bubble where you're safe!#spoilers#i guess

@specktherat
I will continue to speak ill or Rose Tyler because she was a goddamn awful excuse of a companion that did jack-shit and they couldn’t pin her fucking character down and she was just goddamn awful awful awful.
Not to mention a goddamn blatant attempt to be all “Oooh look she’s like today’s modern YOUTH oooh aaaah yes look at her omg she says things like omg SO MODERN aaah”
Like seriously. Should’ve brought Ace back if you wanted a badass female character for the Audience to connect to
I mean for gods sake she’s fought Daleks and Cybermen one on one and won.

Ugh was so close to making a post about how I’m actually not happy that Jasper is potentially coming back but I don’t have the energy to rant about it anymore.
I just don’t want to see her character continually crushed and ruined by this biased ass show when she’s already suffered enough.
I mean yeah that might not happen and I’ll have to wait and see but seriously it made every flimsy excuse to push her out as the bad guy that it could I just don’t... no I can’t trust the crewniverse anymore.

5 things you'd change in Doctor Who (either all of it or just the New Who)
I’m gonna go with NewWho ‘cos gosh dang there’s stuff to change there. A lot.
1) get the good Silurians back.
Seriously.
Out with those generic-ass fucking green-lizard-people
I could watch any sci-fi show for that but I watch Doctor Who for SILURIANS.
2) Keep Capaldi on longer, he’s a GREAT Doctor and it’s a HORRIBLE SHAME that he got the worst written companion since Rose to completely ruin and smother his first series.
3) Better written companions? They’re doing better but after Clara and Rose I DO NOT trust them for it.
4) STOP SCREWING AROUND WITH CANON SHIT.
I mean, where the FUCK were the Skarasens when the Zygons were around?Y’know the big scaley lizards WHO PROVIDED THE ZYGONS WITH FOOD!? And EVERY Zygon ship had at least one on board?
Y’know.
THOSE THINGS
I mean look at it’s goofy charm, who wouldn’t want a big goofy lizard tough enough to withstand a nuke and you can MILK IT. Whose a cutie-toots?
Thank anything holy they’re actually bringing the REAL Cybermen back, another point to keep Capaldi on, he knows the good shit when he sees it.
5) Less of the “over arching plot” thing where there’s always a theme in every episode and it comes to fruition at the end of the series? I mean it’s happened in every one now and it’s just a bit “yeah yeah whatever” now.

I know the Alien sequels get a lot of shit from a fair amount of people but I kinda liked them. (apart from Alien 3 I haven’t watched it in so long and don’t remember enough about it).
Aliens I can get where the “military ruined it” vibe comes from but I loved seeing inside a Xenomorph hive and the possibility of seeing how multiple Xenomorphs interacted. The Queen was icing on the cake for me, I really liked her, her first scene made her imposing and deadly and the likeness to Earth creatures was almost giving them some sense of normality to something so utterly ‘alien’. Which sometimes works to make things creepier, but I’d still be happy if she wasn’t there and it was shown to be a hub of normal Xenomorphs working together ‘cos that’d be fucking awesome too.
Alien: Resurrection... Yeah I can see exactly why a lot of people don’t like it. But the “Newborn” was something I always felt some kind of affection for. It was like a sad wax model that got microwaved. It just had that sense of pitiful ugliness to it that made it a winner in my books. I mean I can’t say much more than that I just really like the Newborn thing for some reason. (plus the scene where the Xenomorphs swam looked cool and the failed-Ripley-clones had some nice creepiness to them).
