they lean close to dragonoxer and gently wrap their arms and wings around him in a hug.

It was hard to determine how Dragonoxer got here. All he remembered before waking up there was feeling something grab his arms and legs and tug on him so hard he could feel his flesh tearing. At least, that's what he thought. He stared down at himself to see his body, now floating as 2 halves with a mess of golden scribbles between (too lazy to say innards plus I kinda feel like I might need to keep it a bit PG also furybeasts have golden blood), and immediately realized he was dead. He expected to see his siblings appear any second now, but as he sat there, staring at himself, he knew he probably wouldn't be going back. As his ears picked up the faintest sound of movement, he quickly turned his head in the direction of whatever had moved.

"Who's there?"

His voice, no longer staticky as it had been in life, rang through the endless void of Purgatory like a bell.

he perked up, feeling the presence of someone here. he hadn’t see anyone in a long time, not since people started going missing. assuming that those people had died but…. where did they go? they weren’t here so something weird must be happening. the drag of their talons against what seemed to be nothing until he saw the floating beast. the gory sight didn’t bother them in the slightest and they approached excitedly, their tail waving back and forth— as if it were wagging and they had a bright smile on their face.

oh, hi there!

he tilted his head curiously as he came closer but not too close. he wondered what and how this had happened, but he wouldn’t pry.

It’s just me. I won’t hurt you. I don’t really do that anymore. yeah, you’re already dead but there is pain beyond death! currently you shouldn’t feel anything though.

I was tempted to actually scare you. It’s fun! but you’re the first person to come along in a looongg time!

they pat his shoulders, trying to give him some sort of reassurance. they didn’t know how to deal with this sort of situation— considering they often found themselves in the same emotional state. frowning, they glance away for a moment.

time passes differently here. slowly, but always changing. you could be here for months and it only ends up being a couple weeks or days outside!

he shrugs and sits down beside dragonoxer, his wings folding behind him. spooky could tell he only looked to be young, and it made him feel worse. he was quiet for a while before he spoke up again.

. . . there isn’t much I can do. at least to send you back, anyways. I’m not even sure this place gets monitored anymore.

It’s not that bad once you get used to it. I can change the world but it’s normally, you know… this.
