while the core gameplay of the “campaign” (for lack of a better word) in spore may not be anything to write home about the game is a phenomenal artistic outlet. Some of the things i’ve seen people make with the game’s various creators, without mods might i add, are breathtaking and require a deep understanding of how it works as a program. There’s a very good reason why a large and robust creative community formed around this game. That community still exists to. Smaller, but its still there.

spore’s loading capabilities. by reducing the amount of polygons on invisible structures, they were able to load the entire planet at once without causing lag.
