“We discovered a mewing cat underneath a truck in a Lowe’s parking lot. The truck owner had driven 15 miles with the cat underneath apparently, because he said he’d seen the cat in his garage but it wasn’t his. Emaciated, dehydrated, shivering, and scared, I sat with my legs crossed and got him to come to me. After a brief cuddle, we took him directly to the vet, had him wormed and flead, and after an exhaustive search for his owners, I think we have a new bundle of joy. He’s got a little Maine coon in him, he’s got lots of extra toes, and he’s an absolute sweetheart of a kitty. He’s got a bit of recovering to do but we’re giving him lots of good food and love. Haven’t locked down a name yet, though. Any thoughts? Happy new year everyone!”
