HOWEVER, if you understand german, you can look up the works of a Czech writer writing in german Jaroslav Rudiš who is fascinated by trains

we can also recomment a Finnish book The Railway (Rautatie), which has been translated into english. It's old but short and nice

if you are into gospel music, there is a great piece called Plenty Good Room (on the glory train)

as for movies, there is an old Czech movie called Closely Watched Trains - it won an Oscar!!

If you are interested in trains from a more theoretical approach, I can recommend a book called The Railway Journey whisch takes a look on the sociological aspect of train travel also i can send you a pdf if you want

you can try to look up a german novella called Bahnwärter Thiel (Trackwalker Thiel)

and there is a finnish short story called Where the Trains Turn by Pasi Ilmari Jääskeläinen
