Summary of Incident:
On 02/02/2024 at approximately 0639 hours I was dispatched to the victim’s residence in
Springfield, VT for the report that the defendant, Cody Greenslit, had taken their debit card and fraudulently used it. After an investigation it was found that Greenslit had allegedly used the victim’s debit card to take money out of an ATM.
Greenslit was located at a residence on Valley Street. He was also known to have an active in-state arrest warrant. Greenslit was taken into custody without incident. Greenslit was transported to the Springfield Police Department for processing.
Greenslit was issued a criminal citation to appear in Windsor County Criminal Court on 03/26/2024 to answer to the alleged charged of Petit Larceny and Fraudulent Use of a Credit Card. Greenslit was subsequently transported to the Windsor County Criminal Court by the Windsor Count Sheriffs Office to answer for his in-state arrest warrant.

Defendant: Pamela Runnells Summary of Incident:
On 1/30/24 officers conducted a motor vehicle traffic stop for an observed moving infraction. During the encounter officers recognized the passenger to be Pamela Runnells.
Pamela was known to have an active extraditable arrest warrant based out of New Hampshire. Upon confirmation of the extraditable arrest warrant Pamela was arrested and transported to the Springfield Police Department for processing.
Pamela was issued a flash citation to appear in the Vermont Superior Court, Criminal Division, Windsor Unit, on 1/31/24 at 1230 hours, to answer for the charge of Fugitive from Justice. Pamela was ultimately lodged at the Southern State Correctional Facility in lieu of $10,000 bail.

Summary of Incident:
On 1/27/24, Officers with the Springfield Police Department were notified of a dispute between two parties with a TV being thrown.
During the course of the investigation it was determined that the defendant, Neveah Smith, allegedly threw a TV at the victim.
Neveah was taken into custody without incident. Neveah was transported to the Springfield Police Department for processing.
Neveah was issued a criminal citation to appear in Vermont Superior Court, Criminal Division, Windsor Unit on January 29th, 2024 at 1230 pm to answer the alleged charge of Domestic Assault. Neveah was then released on a citation and conditions of release.

After an investigation, it was found that Odell had tackled the victim and damaged the victim’s property. Odell was issued a criminal citation to appear in Windsor County Criminal Court on 04/02/2024 to answer to the alleged charged of Simple Assault & Unlawful Mischief.

On 12/04/2023 at approximately 2133 hours I was dispatched to the parking lot of the Shaw’s Supermarket located at 82 Springfield Plaza Road in Springfield, VT, for the report of a vehicle that was being operated erratically and had then parked in the Springfield Plaza.
After an investigation it was found that the operator involved, and the defendant, Ashley Vaneeghen, was found to be allegedly under the influence of drugs while operating her vehicle. Vaneeghen was later cited to appear in Windsor County Criminal Court on 03/12/2024 to answer to the alleged charge of DUI Drags.

On 12/31/23 there was a report of two suspicious subjects near the Claremont Saving’s Bank located on Main St, Springfield, VT. Upon arrival officers identified one of the subjects as Tyge Searl, who was known to have an active arrest warrant.
Tyge was taken into custody without incident in reference to the arrest warrant. Search incident to arrest revealed that Tyge was allegedly in possession of suspected heroin. Tyge was transported to the Springfield Police Department for processing.
Tyge was issued a citation to appear in the Vermont Superior Court, Criminal Division, Windsor Unit, on 2/20/24, at 0800 hours, to answer for the charge of Possession of Heroin. Tyge was ultimately lodged at Southern State Correctional Facility reference the arrest warrant.

On 1/4/24, Vermont State Police assisted the Springfield Police Department with executing a search warrant in West Weathersfield. The warrant was for the residence of Matthew Mitchell. The search was for Mr. Mitchell, who was wanted for Springfield Police charges, as well as other charges. During the search of the residence, Aleigha Sykes was also located. A warrant for her arrest also existed, and she was taken into custody.
The charges for Mr. Mitchell included Aggravated Assault on a Law Enforcement Officer (x2), Resisting Arrest, Possession of Stolen Property, Person Prohibited from Possessing Firearms, Possession of a Firearm while Committing a Felony, and Cruelty to a Child.
The charges for Ms. Sykes included Impeding Public Officers, Hindering Arrest, Accessory After the Fact, Petit Larceny, Cruelty to a Child, and False Information to a Police Officer.
Mr. Mitchel was held without bail. He was transported to the Springfield hospital for an unrelated health matter. Ms. Sykes was held in lieu of $50,000 cash bail. Ms. Sykes was transported to the Southern State Correctional Facility and arraigned the following day.
The safe outcome for this operation was, in large part, a result of the considerable assistance and coordination by the Vermont State Police and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. Also assisting was the Springfield Fire Department, who provided emergency medical service support.

On 12/13/23 Springfield Dispatch received a complaint of an erratic operator. The suspected vehicle was located in the parking lot of the Penguin Mart (50 Clinton St. Springfield).
Upon investigation it was discovered that the operator, Brian Paul, was in possession of suspected heroin and suspected cocaine.
Brian was arrested without incident and transported to the Springfield Police Department for processing. Brian was issued a citation to appear in the Vermont Superior Court, Criminal Division, Windsor Unit, on 2/6/24 at 0800 hours, to answer for the charges of Possession of Heroin and Possession of Cocaine.

On 12/18/2023 at approximately 0845 hours I responded to RT 10 by Mattson Road in Chester, VT to assist Chester Police Department and Chester Fire/EMS services with a two car motor vehicle crash with injury.
After an investigation took place of the crash and the involved parties, it was found that Hood allegedly was operating a motor vehicle with a criminally suspended driver’s license.
Hood was fingerprinted, photographed and issued a criminal citation to appear in Vermont Superior Court, Criminal Division, Windsor Unit on 02/06/2024, at 0800 hours, to answer for the charge of Operating after suspension or revocation of license
