### SCENE: KORE & DEMETER IN THE GROVE
Tumblr media
Kore sat by the edge of a bubbling brook, her fingers tracing patterns in the cool, clear water. Around her, vibrant flowers bloomed, their colors a testament to her springtime magic. This grove was her haven, a place where she felt most herself.
Her Nymphs danced around the grove, tending to the flowers and laughing softly. They treated Kore with a reverence that bordered on worship, yet none called her "Mother." Instead, they referred to her as their princess, a title that acknowledged her power.
"Kore, would you like some more lilies over here?" asked Aeliana, one of the nymphs, holding a cluster of white blossoms.
"Yes, that would be lovely, Aeliana," Kore replied with a gentle smile. "Thank you."
Another nymph, Lyra, approached, holding a wreath of wildflowers. "Princess Kore, do you think this crown suits the grove?"
Kore nodded, admiring the delicate craftsmanship. "It's perfect, Lyra. You always know how to bring out the best in this place."
As the nymphs continued their tasks, Demeter approached from the edge of the grove. She watched her daughter with a mixture of pride and melancholy. Kore, the child she had brought into existence out of love and a desire for family, was perfect in every way.
Yet, the bond she longed for was not quite what she had hoped.
"Kore," Demeter called softly as she stepped closer, her voice tinged with emotion. "This place is a true reflection of your inner beauty."
Kore looked up, a serene smile gracing her lips. "Thank you, Demeter. It's where I feel most at peace."
Demeter's heart ached at the formal way Kore addressed her. A sudden tightness in her chest.
"I've always wondered," Demeter began, her voice hesitant, "why don't you ever call me 'Mother'?"
Kore's smile faltered slightly, and she looked back at the brook, watching the water ripple under her fingers. "It's not that I don't love you, Demeter. It's just... different for me. You are my creator and caretaker, much like I am to the nymphs I bring to life. But 'Mother' feels... distant from my understanding of what we are to each other."
Demeter sighed, feeling a pang of sorrow. "I created you out of love, hoping to have a family, a daughter to cherish. It pains me that you can't see me that way."
Kore turned to face Demeter fully, her eyes filled with a gentle sadness. "I understand familial terms like 'Mother' and 'Daughter,' but they don't resonate with me personally. My existence is unique, I was not in the same way most beings are created. But that doesn't mean I love you any less."
As they spoke, a few nymphs gathered nearby, their curiosity piqued. Elara, the most inquisitive of the group, whispered to Lyra, "Do you think Kore feels lonely without a mother?"
Lyra shook her head. "Kore has us, Elara. She may not see Demeter as a mother, but she loves her in her own way."
Demeter knelt beside Kore, placing a hand on her shoulder. "I know you love me, Kore. It's just hard for me to accept sometimes. I wanted to be a mother to you in every sense of the word."
Kore did not lean into the touch. Yes, she felt the warmth and affection that radiated from Demeter but her plain, emotionless stare twisted Demeter's heart like a knife. "I cherish you, Demeter. You are everything to me, even if I don't use the same words. Our bond is special, even if it doesn't fit the conventional definitions."
They sat in silence for a moment, the only sounds being the gentle babbling of the brook and the rustling of leaves in the breeze. Demeter's discomfort lingered, but she took what solace she could in Kore's words.
Eventually, with a soft defeated sigh, Demeter stood up, her hand lingering on Kore's shoulder. "I just want you to know that no matter what, I will always see you as my daughter. And I will always be here for you."
Kore looked up at her, a small hint of sadness and gratitud in her eyes. "And I will always be here for you, Demeter."
As Demeter walked away, Kore turned back to the brook, her thoughts swirling. She knew that her dissociation from familial terms caused her creator pain, but it was simply just how she perceived the world around her and the people in it. She hoped that one day, Demeter would fully understand and accept it.

Journal Entry: Meeting Hades
Tumblr media
It's been a week since that fateful night, and I still can't quite believe the turn my life has taken. It all started at Zeus’s party, a seemingly typical gathering until Eros, under his mother’s command, spiked my drink. The next thing I knew, I woke up in the home of Hades, the King of the Underworld.
I can still feel the initial panic that surged through me when I realized I was somewhere unfamiliar. Cerberus’ intimidating presence didn’t help, but Hades was quick to scold his dog and assure me that I was safe. His apologies were sincere, and despite the unconventional circumstances, there was a warmth in his hospitality that caught me off guard.
Learning that he was Hades, the ruler of the Underworld, was a revelation. Here was a god with immense power and influence, right in front of me. Our encounter, though orchestrated by forces beyond my control, felt like a blessing in disguise. From that moment forward, I knew he would be my primary, high-priority subject.
Over the past week, I’ve been reflecting on this unexpected opportunity. My roommate Artemis, who was furious with Hades for what happened, has been vocal about her distrust and dislike for him. But she doesn’t understand the potential here. This isn’t just about a chance meeting; it’s about what I can achieve with Hades in my life. His power, his resources, his position—all of it aligns perfectly with my ambitions.
Hades drove me home the next morning, ensuring I was safe, and in those moments, I began to see the possibilities. His influence could open doors I never even knew existed. While Artemis fumes, I see the situation for what it truly is: an opportunity to secure a future of power and control.
I’ve already started laying the groundwork, subtly integrating myself into his life, showing him the side of me that is curious, ambitious, and captivated by his world. He doesn’t need to know that beneath the surface, my mind is always calculating, always planning.
This past week has solidified my resolve. Hades is more than just a god; he’s a key player in the game I’m determined to win. I’ll navigate Artemis’ disdain, manage the delicate balance of appearances, and ensure that I remain indispensable to him. This unconventional encounter is the blessing I needed, a disguised path to achieving everything I’ve ever wanted.
As I move forward, I’ll continue to charm, observe, and strategize. Hades may think he’s in control, but I know better. This is my game now, and I’m playing to win.
